Warhammer Divine Throne

Chapter 1067: Chapter 465: Big Brother vs. Brother-in-Law (Part 2)

No wonder Lorgar’s nickname is ”Divine Stick,” Laine thought inwardly, saying he’s not a divine stick, even he wouldn’t believe it.

Almost in the blink of an eye, Lorgar moved ten meters on the spot, instantly rushing towards the location of Julius, all his movements turning into endless phantom afterimages, like a storm crazily following up with consecutive strikes.

Sweat appeared on Julius’s forehead. He simply couldn’t imagine how the opponent, who was just in a weakened state, now had his strength restored! Are Laine’s brothers all monsters?

The thirty-something Expedition Knight thought as he exhaled a breath and immediately evaded.

”Boom!” In his frenzied state, Lorgar couldn’t stop his actions at all. As Julius narrowly dodged, Lorgar crashed headfirst into the stone wall of the arena, leaving a nearly three-meter-high human-shaped pit in the solid stone wall. It was only after violently smashing seven or eight pieces of stone with his steel scepter that Lorgar realized he hadn’t hit his target. The Primarch of the Word Bearers, still in frenzy, turned and charged towards Julius once more.

”Kill, kill, kill~ all!!!”

Every action of the Primarch of the Word Bearers tore through the air; he seemed to be burning. His sleeves rolled up and down due to his swift movements. In just the first second of the clash, Julius’s longsword had suffered over a dozen hits.

The successive strikes, like a violent storm, almost overwhelmed Julius. The Expedition Knight staggered back repeatedly, Julius’s gaze was sharp as he tried everything he could to break free from Lorgar’s savage assault, knowing that such madness couldn’t last long.

Finding an opening in the attack, Julius used the sword guard to deflect Lorgar’s scepter. That ordinary iron scepter was no match for the knight’s sword he wielded made of steel and Brittania Secret Silver, not to mention the sword also had the Lake God’s Prophet’s blessing. He raised his sword, silently praying to the Lake Fairy, then turned his body with all his might: ”For the Lady’s mercy! Fall down!”

The sword blade aimed directly at Lorgar’s neck, but the Primarch of the Word Bearers, in his fervent state, didn’t care at all: ”Blood bursts life or death, the strong prevail!”

After saying this, Lorgar’s scepter was raised high and heavily smashed on Julius’s cross helmet. Sparks exploded on the helmet, and streaks of crimson ran down Julius’s handsome face.

Lorgar’s wild attacks also left him wide open, and the sturdy sword guard of the knight’s sword struck hard at Lorgar’s right temple. Hit by this blow, Lorgar shouted out, forcibly exiting his state of endless frenzy. With one final roar, the Primarch of the Word Bearers felt the pain emanating from his temple. Blood trickled down his nose, and the intense headache almost drove him mad. When he raised his scepter intending to continue the fight, Julius raised his hand, signaling his surrender.

Only then did Lorgar realize this was an honor duel. He reached to touch his nose, his hand coming away covered in blood, and the word bearer genetic primarch, dizzy-headed, took two steps to the side and sat down heavily, panting: ”You could clearly still fight, why surrender? I’m only slightly less injured than you!”

”I could only match you because my gear is better than yours; it really feels like a dubious victory.” Julius’s head, broken by Lorgar, had trickles of red running down it. His hands could barely hold the sword, yet seeing Lorgar inquire, Julius squeezed out a smile: ”You are very strong, Mr. Lorgar, truly strong, but there’s no need for us to fight until one side can’t get up, don’t you think?”

”You’re not weak either, Mr. Brother-in-law of Laine.” Lorgar was very pleased with his ability to win the victory, wiping his nose with pride: ”Thank you, this duel brought me great joy.”

Indeed, I can win too.

See, Laine’s brother-in-law even said I’m strong.

”Me too... When I return from the expedition, let’s fight again.” Julius calmly accepted the bandaging from the priest of the Merciful Goddess Church, thinking that Laine’s brother wasn’t that formidable either. He’s now a Legendary Middle-tier, and battling Lorgar was fifty-fifty, even though he barely managed to tie due to equipment. However, Lorgar’s direct strength was only around Legendary High-Tier to Legendary Peak level.

So, speculating a bit, the strength of that Angerong shouldn’t be exceedingly strong.

Julius felt confident in himself.

”Brother Lorgar, need a towel?” Little Maid Amelia came over voluntarily, handing Lorgar a towel, to which Lorgar said thank you and courteously took the towel to wipe the blood from his nose: ”It was truly exhilarating; it has been a long time since I’ve fought so happily.”

Laine: ”...”

Just when he finished speaking, the iron scepter in Lorgar’s other hand could no longer withstand the continuous influx of spiritual energy and the series of cracks left in battle, shattering into pieces. The Primarch of the Word Bearers shrugged at Laine: ”Laine, can you persuade the Dwarf Rune Blacksmith in your territory for me? I need better weapons.”

”I’ll find Mr. Delong for you, brother. You will get a better scepter,” Laine said with a teasing smile on his face: ”I promise.”

The duel ended, and Laine wanted to invite his brother-in-law to stay for a meal, but Julius politely declined, allowing the priests of the Merciful Goddess to stop his bleeding, bandaged up, asked Laine to say hello to Surya for him, then mounted his pure-blooded Elf Warhorse, leaving Laine’s territory.
