On the other side, Angerong, Lorgar, and Clarkson were having a BBQ, skewering meat together, sitting in a row drinking beer and watching a play.

”Truly a spectacular family drama.” This was Lorgar’s comment.

”Interesting, I can imagine Kiliman and his girlfriend in the Throne Hall in the future, pleading with their father to approve them.” That was Clarkson.

”Be careful, don’t let it burn.” Angerong said to Lorgar, ”This is my collection!”

Filled with joy.

”Godfather! Please don’t treat the Lady like that.” Surya immediately stepped forward to plead; the Lady Knight was, after all, the most devout believer of the Lake Fairy. Laine also stepped forward, ”Father...”

”Alright, I should be leaving.” In fact, the Emperor only intended a brief reprimand and warning. Seeing Surya intercede, he then signaled the Imperial Guard to release the binds, and the Lake Fairy weakly fell from the statue, caught by Laine, ”Laine, I will not interfere in your private life. You take this Goddess back with you and have a happy holiday with Surya.”

”Yes, Father, thank you.” Laine blushed, knowing of the Emperor’s favoritism towards him. The Grey Knight Primarch carried the Lake Fairy in his arms and planned to leave.

”Great Supreme Being, how can I earn your approval?” The Lake Fairy made a last effort, weakly asking as she lifted her head from her Divine Chosen Champion’s embrace.

”I said, I won’t interfere in Laine’s private life; what happens between you and him I won’t control, but you still have a long way to go to earn my approval.” The Emperor cast a final icy glance at the Lake Fairy, ”I spare you, only because of Laine. Play your part well.”

”Lorgar, stay with Laine for the time being.”

”Yes.”

”Clarkson, come with me.”

”Yes.”

The meeting between the Master of Humans and the daughter-in-law concluded this way. After pondering for a while, Laine simply decided to spend the night with Surya in the Forest Cottage.

In the evening, it started snowing. After dinner, Laine, Angerong, and Lorgar strolled in the forest, with all the animals fleeing when they saw them.

The forest stream was now frozen, the earth within the forest was hardened, the tall pine trees laden with snow, and the heavy boots made a ”crunching” sound on the forest floor.

In the overcast sky, snowflakes floated down like cotton, endlessly tumbling from high above, with all beings silent. The World-Devourer Primarch, the Primarch of the Word Bearers, and the Grey Knight Primarch each with a short bow, were attempting to hunt.

Of course, their archery skills were atrocious. After more than an hour of hunting, they had caught nothing, yet they weren’t bothered; they were actually very happy, especially Lorgar, who tried to shoot a snow rabbit but ended up hitting Angerong’s butt.

Actually, if these three Primarchs were serious, they could wipe out every creature in the forest with even wooden bows. But this hunt was more of a game; neither Laine, Angerong, nor Lorgar excelled at using wooden bows. They found it more amusing, shooting with casual aim.

”I really envy you, Angerong, being able to live here as a carefree farm owner.” Lorgar sighed a bit, ”This might just be the life you want.”

”...How’s the situation on Cadian?” Angerong didn’t answer Lorgar’s question, instead awkwardly using the Hunter’s Short Bow, casually asking.

”Abaddon and Father personally led the Imperial Guard Fleet into a battle, suffering a devastating defeat. Now, near the Eye of Fear, he’s leading the Black Legion in guerrilla warfare.” Lorgar tried to shoot again, missing his target by over a dozen meters. He had to give up, ”You know, Abaddon is different from Horus; he neither has the courage nor the ability to confront Father. He can only run away, like a lost dog. Even so, he still has a large following.”

”Previously, the issue with the Empire was that no one could consolidate all the powers. Father’s Empire was like a half-dead beast; when a jackal tore a piece of meat from this beast, all it could do was twitch in protest.” Angerong said sullenly, ”But with Father’s return, it’s different. The cost of ruling all beings in the name of the Divine Emperor is that when the Divine Emperor returns, no one can resist. Not to mention Father, even if Kiliman gives an order, what can those Supreme Lords and the National Church do? They have no choice but to kneel and obey.”

”I remember Abaddon was also a Divine Chosen of the Chaos Four Gods, how is he different from Horus?” Laine asked curiously.

”Abaddon and Horus are quite different; firstly, Abaddon is not a Primarch.” Lorgar brushed the snow from his bald head, focusing on Laine, ”Laine, you know what a Primarch is, right?”

”Creations of the Subspace, with infinite Subspace power embedded into a perfect vessel through perfect technology, combined with the genetic material of the Master of Humans, tightly integrated.” Laine extended his hands.

On the left hand of the Grey Knight Primarch, a platinum-colored Spiritual Flame burned fiercely.

On the right hand of the Grey Knight Primarch was a bizarre ’I’ symbol, half-gold and half-silver, with strange extensions in the center of the symbol, along with a pattern resembling an eye.
