Chapter 1060: Chapter 462: Bandit Menace of the Gray Mountain Range

The two-legged flying dragon is generally considered one of the scourges of the Old World. This creature, several meters long, lives in dark caves, nests on high mountains, and is frenzied and irrational. It will attack any enemy entering its territory, often including formidable opponents like griffins and horned eagle beasts in its attack range. This causes many two-legged flying dragons to die at the hands of those noble animals; however, quite a few manage to win those incredible battles. Their combat-driven personality and passion are very similar to the green skins, so many two-legged flying dragons choose to become mounts for green-skinned warlords, a collaboration that requires no reason.

Expedition Knight Kaled furrowed his brow, the gray-green silhouette, the sharp horns on its head, the barbed tail, and its awkward wing flaps in the air — no doubt, that must be a two-legged flying dragon.

Especially a two-legged flying dragon out hunting due to hunger in winter.

”Take cover! Prepare to fire!” Belgar’s shout snapped everyone to attention. Under Belgar’s command, people looked for shelter in the wild fields, dwarfs crouched on the spot, and Bertrand yelled loudly: ”Get down! Hide!”

The beast’s roar echoed across the wilderness. In this hungry winter, it was forced out of the mountain caves to find food. Although the two-legged flying dragon knew its actions were extremely dangerous, it had to fill its belly!

This made it more ferocious. It clumsily used its wings to glide from high above, spewing deep red flames from its mouth. The stench of the beast spread through the air, causing nausea.

Almost all the peasants felt fear, screaming as they fled, the dwarfs scattered and avoided the dragon, and at this moment, the low intelligence of the two-legged flying dragon became apparent.

It sprayed fire too early, causing the peasants, after evading, to realize that the flames of the two-legged flying dragon were at least thirty to forty meters away, so after their panicked escape, under Bertrand’s loud orders, the peasants regrouped, raising their longbows and crossbows towards the two-legged flying dragon.

”Open fire!” A wave of scattered, dense arrows streaked across the sky toward the two-legged flying dragon. Seeing this, Kaled just calmly shook his head. If the two-legged flying dragon were so easy to deal with, it wouldn’t have become one of the most infamous beasts ever.

Sure enough, the dense rain of arrows merely touched the body of the two-legged flying dragon. Its hardened scales made ordinary arrows unable to harm it. Instead, it let out a mocking howl, its wings knocking, the dense rain of arrows fell consecutively, the two-legged flying dragon proudly howled, ready to glide from the sky for a dive assault.

Similarly, the dwarfs also displayed cold smiles. Angland Clan’s Chief Engineer Harharaver the Gold Digger raised the dwarf hand cannon in his hand.

”Boom!” A deep hand cannon roar overwhelmed the battle sounds, a sharp explosive bullet tore through the two-legged flying dragon’s flesh from the side, spraying a stream of dark red blood in the air, subsequently, the bullet deeply embedded in the flesh exploded.

Meat splattered, a charred blood hole blasted open on the beast’s back. It shrieked, falling from the sky into the distant wilderness.

”Explosive bullets are truly excellent, yet sadly, they are produced very little. We must rely on that Light Fire Witch and her apprentice to make them, reportedly only fifty are produced a month.” Belgar said to his chief engineer: ”If possible, I really hope all our clan’s Thunderbolt Gunners are equipped with these.”

”Good things are always scarce,” Harharaver the Gold Digger muttered, ”We also have bursting bullets; we might also try their power this time in bandit suppression.”

”Yes.”

Seeing the two-legged flying dragon fallen not far away, Kaled furrowed his brow.

In Kaled’s view, dwarfs using ranged weapons was a behavior devoid of honor, and it undermined Kaled’s expectations — he had hoped to offer this prey as a Winter Festival sacrifice to the Lake Fairy.

However, Kaled knew he couldn’t hold dwarfs to the standards of the knightly path, so the knight dismounted and walked towards the fallen two-legged flying dragon.

Even with its injuries, the two-legged flying dragon maintained its fierce nature, or perhaps due to its wounds, it was even crazier than before.

”Lady, please continue to bless me with victory; my heart, my soul, belong entirely to you.” Kaled murmured, raising the Divine Sword Durandal in his hand, ready to fight.

Whenever he grips the sharp sword, Kaled always felt Jules hasn’t left, that amiable Holy Grail Knight Commander was fighting alongside him, that legacy bond interwoven with knight spirit. Every time a strong enemy fell before him, he always felt himself a step closer to the Holy Grail.

The injured two-legged flying dragon roared angrily, making a dragon vehicle charge, mouth wide open, lunging forward.

Kaled quickly sidestepped with a slide, filled with infinite power, and during his long battle career, Kaled had mastered all his martial skills thoroughly. He never felt his body move so instinctively, never felt his strength so mighty. The two-legged flying dragon’s bloody mouth and forked tongue bit only air, Kaled’s arm muscles tightened, Durandal drew a circle in the air, then pierced into the two-legged flying dragon’s throat.
