Chapter 1056: Chapter 460: The Depressed Lake Fairy (2)

If Surya were present, the female knight would definitely notice that this symbol is exactly the same as the spirit rune on her lower abdomen.

”No doubt about it, Laine, my brother, you are Demon Pattern Macado’s final gift to Father, for this symbol is exactly Macado’s Demon Pattern Mark!” Lorgar’s face revealed an expression of unsurprise: ”Clearly, Macado used some secret technique to create the last genetic primarch, and that genetic primarch is you.”

After speaking, Lorgar paused and whispered, ”And the creation of the genetic primarch was the result of a deal between Father and the Chaos Four Gods. Without a doubt, Macado witnessed the entire process. He most likely gained the knowledge and enough power on how to create a genetic primarch. Perhaps it began when the genetic primarch was swept away by the subspace storm, or perhaps it began when Horus was about to land on Terra. Macado completed his work and ultimately sacrificed everything he had; that led to your existence, Laine Macado.”

”Perhaps that’s the case, but you haven’t told me why Abaddon’s strength is inferior to Horus.” A certain warning arose in Laine’s heart, as if this discussion shouldn’t continue.

”Abaddon is the divine chosen of the Four Gods, but he is not a genetic primarch, and thus his ceiling is destined to be lower than Horus’s. Moreover, although Abaddon and Horus are both divine chosen of the Chaos Four Gods, he doesn’t have the blessings of the Chaos Four Gods.” At this moment, Lorgar appeared like a kind and wise priest, seemingly accustomed to playing a role of listening and providing clarity, which he enjoyed immensely.

”The blessings of the Four Gods are very important; they were Horus’s greatest capital to face Father directly.” Angerong also agreed: ”Horus was already the strongest primarch himself and gained the blessings of the Four Gods. Only this could push Father, who had already been sitting on the Golden Throne for years and was in a weakened state, into a desperate situation.”

”Then, prepare yourself, brother.” Laine suddenly smiled: ”The Moment of Destruction is in the near future, and our opponent will also be a Chaos Eternal Divine Chosen blessed by the Four Gods.”

”I look forward to it.” Angerong swung his axe twice, and behind him, a tree tens of meters tall toppled with a thundering crash.

......

After the hunting activity ended, Laine returned to the second floor of the villa in the woods. When he opened the door, the scene before him made the Lake Fairy’s Divine Chosen Champion smile knowingly.

The Lake Fairy was lying on the bed in the room, utterly dejected. The goddess, who always seemed to have everything under control, was now in a very bad state. Surya was sitting by the bedside comforting the Lake Fairy. Seeing Laine enter, the female knight quickly stood up: ”Laine, you’re back?”

”Yes, I’m back.” Laine brushed off the snow on him and hung his coat on the coat rack. He first hugged Surya and gently kissed her soft lips, then sat at the bedside with a smile: ”My lady?”

The Lake Fairy’s silky golden hair spread across the white bed sheets. Upon hearing Laine’s voice, her body trembled slightly, but she did not react further.

”My lady, I think you need a hug.” Laine gently extended his arms and embraced the Lake Fairy. The goddess’s beautiful face finally had to be revealed to Laine, wearing a deep expression of dejection. She couldn’t come to terms with being rejected after pleading humbly in her goddess status: ”Such humiliation to me, does it make you happy, my champion? Am I so lowly that I can’t even catch the eye of your father?”

”No, my lady, it’s not so.” Laine smiled, letting the Lake Fairy rest against his chest, lightly stroking her back through his clothes: ”Father is the Master of Humans. He just dislikes other races. Father has never considered himself a god, so he hates other deities as well. There aren’t eighty if not a hundred gods who died at his hand. My lady, him not laying a hand on you actually signifies his acknowledgment of your status, but...”

”What exactly is your father? He summoned me, and with just a wave of his hand, sealed all my divine power. The strength I took pride in was blown apart like dust by him.” The Lake Fairy extended her arms to hug Laine tightly, murmuring as she nestled in his embrace: ”Don’t forget, I am the Lake Fairy, the High Elf goddess of the moon, dreams, and wealth, Lilith. I am also the Mist Goddess of the wood elves, Radlia! Bearing the power of three gods, my strength equals that of the Hunting God Kunos and the Phoenix Lord Asuyan! But your father, what is he? That Radiance as brilliant as a fixed star, capable of illuminating the entire Star Domain? And you are his offspring?”

”Hmm-hmm~” Laine nodded with a smile, angering the Lake Fairy, who pounded his chest with her little fists several times.

The goddess knew she had no way out. She deeply understood that the only reason Laine’s father did not completely deal with her was because of Laine himself. If she dared to betray, that would truly be the end of days: ”Damn it! Laine, if I had known you were the progeny of such a being, I never would have chosen you as my future partner! But now I have no choice!”

”Yes, my lady.” Laine’s smile was as wide as a hound dog’s grin: ”You can’t escape now.”

Being a noble goddess, the Lake Fairy recovered rather quickly from her dejection. She gently pushed Laine away, sitting at the edge of the bed and signaling Surya to come over, speaking with a tinge of bitterness: ”So, should I call her Lady Surya from now on?”
