Chapter 1081: Chapter 470: Farewell, Amelia

Once deployed, their enemies will face a terrifying storm of bullets.

Erstein dressed in full black plate armor, a gleaming helmet and wielded a shiny longsword, with the Iron Cross Skull Badge representing the Empire and the black scale golden lion emblem representing Nuer hanging on his body. He was already a veteran, a few strands of beautiful multi-colored plume fluttered in the air, his red bushy beard and long goatee fully demonstrating his seniority. Contrary to many people’s imagination, he was not born a noble, but an ordinary soldier, rising from soldier to Grand Marshal. Erstein’s story inspires generation after generation of Imperial citizens to eagerly enlist and fight to defend civilization.

Laine thought that indeed only in wealthy and enlightened regions like the Southern Empire would there be such opportunities and possibilities, with none more so than the Imperial Capital Brunswick and the Southern Stronghold Nul. It’s no wonder countless farmers and Free People eagerly squeeze into the cities.

Lady of Nuer rode atop a Purple-Red Dragon, wielding a large scythe, soaring in the sky, as Death Wind surged to and fro. Many wizards from the Nuer Wizard Guild arrived in succession, including Alchemist Mages, Shadow Wizards, Light Mages, Sky Mages, Amber Mages and a total of twenty or thirty wizards.

Grand Judge Theodore Nuer rode atop a wild Half-Griffin named ”Harvester,” the largest Half-Griffin in the Empire. Behind him were representatives from over a dozen Knight Corps of Nuer, including quite a few Chief Masters of the corps, dressed in vibrant armor with various Knight Corps badges hanging.

This elite army in the Old World awaited outside the city, ready to welcome Amelia.

The winery gates opened wide, and Laine’s side also dispatched all its elites. Holy Grail Knight Armand held the Laine family emblem flag, followed by a squad of Kingdom Knights in bright armor, cavalry lances like a forest.

The newly appointed Baron Devon Hex wore a Cross Helmet, leading over two hundred Ranger Knights waiting on the spot.

A large group of Dwarves and the Ranger team ”Emerald Wind” from wood elves also waited here.

Amidst the people’s attention, Amelia walked out from the winery under Laine’s escort. The little maid raised her head, looking at the army here to welcome her, her once pure charm gone, replaced by the majesty and characteristic dignity of a Great Noble. Upon seeing Erstein, Amelia chuckled: ”You’re a Grand Marshal now? Erstein? I remember during the Giant Dragon Forest Campaign, you were just a Legion Commander, yet you survived.”

”Greetings to the Duchess!” Erstein had no doubt upon seeing Amelia, the Grand Marshal of Nuer knelt on one knee: ”Welcome the Duchess back to Nuer!”

”Welcome the Duchess back to Nuer!” Over a thousand elite soldiers almost all knelt on one knee, knights dismounted.

”Please the Duchess of Nuer, His Highness Brescia Prince-Elector, true ruler of Weisen Territory and Duke of Weisen, most legitimate heir of the Bernardino family unsheathe the sword!” Subsequently, leader of the Nuer Iron Armor Army Jule Bafuoke knelt on one knee.

”Please the Duchess of Nuer, His Highness Brescia Prince-Elector, true ruler of Weisen Territory and Duke of Weisen, most legitimate heir of the Bernardino family unsheathe the sword!!!” The Nuer Iron Armor Army shouted a thunderous roar.

Amelia nodded, the little maid finally reached for the longsword at her waist. For certain known reasons, she felt a bit dizzy and nauseous this morning, her chest a bit tight, yet she overcame her physical discomfort, grasping the sword single-handedly.

In the golden flames, the Prince-Elector’s Holy Sword ”Western Fire” was drawn, the sacred glow on the sword’s body illuminating the entire army.

At this moment, her identity was beyond question.

Laine stood not far away, looking at Amelia’s figure, Count himself was overwhelmed with mixed emotions.

Perhaps from today, there would no longer be the little maid Amelia, only Duchess of Nuer, Brescia Prince-Elector, Duchess of Weisen Emmanuelle von Lebewitz-Bernardino.

Goodbye, Amelia.

Hello, Emmanuelle von Lebewitz-Bernardino, Duchess of Nuer and noble Imperial Prince-Elector.
