Chapter 1068: Chapter 465: Brother vs. Brother-in-law Part 3

He needs to make preparations for the Holy Grail Expedition, and challenging Lorgar to a duel is just the beginning.

After the duel ended, everyone dispersed. Amelia held Laine’s arm and whispered, ”It was indeed a thrilling duel. We might have missed the most exciting part.”

The little maid’s leather boots clicked crisply on the cobblestone streets of the town.

”Being able to fight like this exceeded my expectations in many ways.” Laine joked, running a hand through his bangs. ”I really didn’t expect...”

”Didn’t expect what?” Amelia asked curiously. ”By the way, aren’t your brothers all demigods?”

”Exactly, Lorgar, a demigod, was surprisingly able to go against Julius, a legendary middle-tier expedition knight, like that... I truly didn’t expect it.” Laine said with a pained expression. ”You know? Amelia, I’m already at the Holy Sanctuary Initial Tier and under normal duel conditions, I’d take down either of them in less than ten rounds.”

”Oh, stop it~ Laine, you always find ways to praise how formidable you are.” Amelia said, but her lovely face was filled with pride. ”If you weren’t strong enough, why would I fancy you?”

The two walked into the ”Holy Grail Praise” tavern, where Laine intended to sit in the main hall, but Amelia proactively said to the waiter, ”A private room on the second floor, please.”

Laine didn’t object, and they settled into a private room on the second floor. Soon, the waiter brought in a sumptuous feast and the finest wine. Amelia evidently enjoyed the private time with Laine, looking down at the bustling crowd below and excitable saying, ”Look! Look! Laine, what are they all playing?”

”Card games, and strategic battle figurines. Those ridiculously expensive metal figures.”

”Card games? Can you teach me?” Amelia was clearly more interested in the card games that people were playing.

”Sure.”

......I’m the separator for card games......

Meanwhile, in the Old World, the Southern Realm, Tiriel, Miraglino City State.

Miraglino is the largest city in Tiriel, with a population of about a hundred thousand. As a world-famous city, a cultural capital, it’s renowned for its architecture, fashion, arts, painting, and opera.

Angron, the World-Devourer Primarch, walked down the street, leading his mount, the horned eagle beast ”Nukelion,” purchasing various items on his list: ”Hmm~ Premium Tiriel Cat Poop Coffee~ along with the finest sparkling wine and Penny Cheese, father and Kiliman would like these.”

Angron procured various goods, and since he wasn’t fond of haggling and was making grand purchases, the merchants hovered around him. A diminutive half-elf with a flattering smile led the way cautiously, ”Mr. Angron, the cat poop coffee you want is in the shop ahead, how much would you like?”

”I’ve got plenty of money, but I must inspect the goods first!” Angron replied impatiently.

”Of course~ of course~ hehehe.” The half-elf fawned. ”For such a generous and hearty customer like Mr. Angron, our Kunisberry Commerce Association will surely provide the best service!”

At this moment, something ahead caught Angron’s attention: ”Wait... what are they doing over there?”

A huge tent had been erected on the street ahead, filled with well-equipped mercenaries. These mercenaries were dressed lavishly, flaunting wealth, and what felt familiar to Angron was the emblem on their banner, depicting an eagle claw reborn from ashes.

”...Fugen,” Angron murmured.

The leading mercenary shouted to the ardent crowd below.

”Wealth, fame, power! Ladies and gentlemen! Want these treasures? Want to gain ultimate status and glory?”

Crates upon crates were opened, revealing gold, silver, gemstones, and sounds of gulping filled the square.

”If you want them, join the Expeditionary Army; all treasures lie there! Right at the end of that great sea route, in Lustria!”

”Citizens! The Expeditionary Army needs you!”
