Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 2249: Chapter 2250: Leaving This Family

Su Chengyu walked over to the sofa with his head hanging low and sat down, looking very disheartened, ”No, he refused.”

An Baobei and Su Haoyu immediately exchanged glances, then An Baobei asked in confusion, ”Why did he refuse? Didn’t you go to reconcile with him?”

Yesterday when Su Chengyu went to E City, he mentioned to them the purpose of his trip, so An Baobei and the others were well aware of this.

Thinking about the reason Ning Zihan refused, Su Chengyu got angry again and cursed loudly, ”Ning Zihan must have psychological issues! He thinks that if Wen Xian and I get together, it will involve you again, and he doesn’t want that, so he won’t agree to me and Wen Xian! Wen Xian too, just listens to her brother!”

An Baobei hadn’t thought that Ning Zihan refused because he didn’t want to get involved with her. After a moment of astonishment, she said softly, ”So it also involves me...”

Su Chengyu thought An Baobei misunderstood, so he hurriedly explained, ”Baobei, I don’t mean to blame you. Please don’t overthink it. It’s Ning Zihan who’s got psychological problems, always worried about getting entangled with you as if you would cling to him. But when have you ever clung to him? He’s truly got issues! And serious ones at that!”

Su Haoyu was also worried that An Baobei might overthink it, so he quickly added, ”Baobei, your second uncle really doesn’t mean to blame you, don’t get the wrong idea.”

An Baobei smiled and said, ”Grandpa, I didn’t misunderstand. I know my second uncle doesn’t mean to blame me; he’s just mad at Ning Zihan.”

”Yes, I’m just mad at Ning Zihan!” Su Chengyu immediately agreed. ”God knows how absurd his psychological problems are. Wen Xian said that he reacts so negatively towards you because he hates women, and he hates women liking him even more, especially those who want to climb into his bed. He simply loathes them. Anyway, I can’t understand him acting this way, I just think he’s sick!”

Su Haoyu snorted, ”One objects, another listens to her brother, I think, you’ll just stay single.”

Su Chengyu said, ”I think so too.” Then, with a cheeky grin, he said, ”Dad, it’s rare that we agree on something.”

Su Haoyu immediately glared at him.

Su Chengyu still grinned cheekily. Now that he was home, his mood seemed to have improved, showing the influence and importance of family to him.

An Baobei hesitated for a moment and then spoke softly, ”Second uncle, how about this: I’ll move out, since I’m not really your niece. As long as I have nothing to do with this family, then Ning Zihan should agree to your and Wen Xian’s relationship.”

”An Baobei!” Su Chengyu’s eyes turned red with anger. ”I treat you like my own niece, and this is how you treat your second uncle?! Who puts their family aside for love?! What did you do wrong to make you do this?!”

Su Haoyu was also very angry, but not at An Baobei, rather at Su Chengyu: ”Why did you have to fall for Ning Zihan’s sister? From now on, don’t contact Ning Wenxian! She doesn’t even want you, just listens to her brother, why do you care so much about her?! Baobei, don’t talk about moving out. You are a part of this family, and no one can make you leave! If anyone tries, this old man won’t agree first!”

Su Chengyu also felt very hurt that Ning Wenxian listened to her brother and didn’t want to be with him; his heart was very heavy, and his voice choked up a bit, ”Baobei, Ning Wenxian broke your second uncle’s heart, do you want to break his heart too? Your second uncle never thought about breaking ties with you, but you want to break ties with your second uncle. What, is this family not worth your nostalgia, can you just leave so easily?”
