Chapter 2248: Chapter 2249: Not Holding Back at All

Su Chengyu was at a loss for words, he felt that Ning Zihan should see a psychologist, he truly thought Ning Zihan had psychological issues.

But what he felt was just his opinion, since her brother and father didn’t even persuade him to see a psychologist, what was the point of him saying it?

So, Su Chengyu couldn’t be bothered to care whether Ning Zihan had psychological issues and focused back on his own problem: ”It looks like your brother is determined not to let us be together. Are you really going to listen to him and end things with me just like that? We haven’t even been in a relationship yet.”

Ning Wenxian was silent for quite a while before earnestly saying, ”I’m always quite happy when I’m with you, and I sincerely want to give this a try, but I really can’t disregard my brother’s feelings. We... let’s just leave it at that.”

Su Chengyu looked hurt, ”You’re hurting me for your brother’s sake, and you don’t seem to be holding back at all.”

”Chengyu, I...” Ning Wenxian was also feeling quite upset inside, ”I actually like you a bit, I really want to be in a relationship with you, but my brother... he is my brother, Miss An is your niece, I won’t sever ties with my brother, and you won’t sever ties with your niece. If we’re together, my brother and your niece will definitely run into each other again, and my brother really dislikes your niece... I’m sorry... I’m sorry...”

”Stop talking.” Su Chengyu cut her off. ”Maybe what you’re doing is right.”

After a pause, Su Chengyu said, ”Although Baobei isn’t my biological niece, from the moment she walked into our home, I’ve treated her as if she were my real niece; she’s a part of our family, I truly won’t sever ties with her. If I were with you, your brother and she would indeed get involved again... Alright, let’s just end this.”

His Baobei didn’t do anything wrong, and he couldn’t give up his relative Baobei just to fulfill his love.

Having made the decision, Su Chengyu managed to smile, ”Good thing you only like me a little, you’ll soon be able to forget me. You like sunny guys, right? There are many sunny guys in this world, not just me; you’ll easily find another one, no worries.”

”Chengyu...” Ning Wenxian felt even worse, her voice choked up.

”These two months have been a disturbance, let’s leave it at that.” With that, Su Chengyu let out a deep breath, appearing much more at ease. ”I’m leaving.”

After finishing, he really turned and left.

”Cheng...” Ning Wenxian wanted to call out to Su Chengyu, but as soon as she started, she realized that even if she did, there wouldn’t be anything more to say, so she let it go.

When Su Chengyu arrived at E City airport, he took a flight back to S City. It was only eleven in the morning by the time he got home.

The company wasn’t too busy now, so it didn’t require the president’s constant presence. As a result, Su Changyi wasn’t at work but was instead at home wholeheartedly taking care of the pregnant An Jing, who was heavily pregnant.

However, at the moment, Su Changyi and An Jing weren’t in the living room but upstairs, because An Jing, who was over seven months pregnant, felt uncomfortable whether sitting or standing. She had to lie back on the bed after a short while, while Su Changyi sat by the bed, keeping An Jing company so she wouldn’t feel bored.

Meanwhile, Su Haoyu and An Baobei were in the living room talking and laughing; the grandfather and granddaughter pair had a very good relationship.

As soon as An Baobei saw Su Chengyu return, she immediately smiled and asked, ”Second Uncle, you’re back so soon, does that mean Ning Zihan has agreed to let you be with his sister?”
