Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 2218: Chapter 2219: A Chance Encounter with Ning Zihan? (9)

”A long journey?” She grasped the key point.

”Ye’s Enterprise is in City C.”

Thinking about how far City C is from S city, An Jing nodded, ”It is quite far.”

After taking another sip of water, An Jing was about to speak, but before she could, there was a knock at the door: ”President, Mr. Ye has arrived.”

”Invite him in.”

Just as Su Changyi finished speaking, Lu Yimi opened the door to the president’s office to invite the general manager of Ye’s Enterprise, Ye Shu, in.

”Hello, Boss Su, I’m Ye Shu.” As soon as Ye Shu entered, he smiled somewhat shyly and shook hands with Su Changyi.

After finishing the handshake with Su Changyi, Ye Shu noticed An Jing and immediately smiled shyly again, ”This must be Boss Su’s wife, I’ve heard so much about you.”

An Jing was very surprised. Isn’t this Ye Zhi’s older brother?

She knew Ye Zhi was from City C, but she had never visited Ye Zhi’s home, so she didn’t know Ye Zhi’s family. However, because Ye Zhi’s brother, Ye Shu, had visited Ye Zhi at the army base twice, she happened to be there both times.

Although she hadn’t spoken much with Ye Shu those two times, she still recognized him.

And because she was now Lin Anjing and looked quite different from before, Ye Shu naturally didn’t recognize her.

Seeing Ye Shu greet her, An Jing quickly returned a big smile and invited him to sit down.

Once Ye Shu sat down, he got straight to the point: ”Boss Su is a smart man, so I won’t beat around the bush. My company is currently facing a serious financial crisis, but we have a promising scientific research project. I approached a few companies, but none were interested. I heard that Boss Su has always been interested in scientific research, so I came personally to show you this. This is our research project’s proposal. Please have a look.”

Su Changyi took the proposal and started reviewing it seriously. If the research project is done well, it could indeed make a lot of money. The problem is that he needs to assess whether the project is really as promising as Ye Shu claims.

An Jing often heard Ye Zhi say that her brother Ye Shu was an earnest person, dedicated to research and not good at socializing. Seeing him now, she truly felt that Ye Zhi was right.

Aside from the initial polite formalities, Ye Shu didn’t know how to make small talk at all.

And since she and Ye Zhi are good friends and sisters, and Ye Zhi’s brother is now in trouble, she obviously wanted to help.

Thinking this way, An Jing pretended to yawn and let Su Changyi help her to the lounge to rest.

Su Changyi helped her.

Then, in the lounge, An Jing softly said to Su Changyi, ”Honey, he is Ye Zhi’s older brother. I didn’t know he was in trouble before, but now that I do, we should help him.”

Su Changyi nodded, indicating he would help. Then he said, ”I took a quick look at the research project. If it’s really invested in, it should be profitable, so let’s invest in it under the company’s name.”

If it isn’t profitable, he would invest in it privately to help out, and if there are losses, it won’t affect the company.

An Jing understood and nodded, saying, ”Ye Zhi is currently in Tianyun. If we can help Ye Zhi’s family in the future, let’s help them.”

Because so much time had passed, even though Ye Zhi had told her where her home was when she served in the army, An Jing couldn’t really remember. She only knew Ye Zhi’s family was in City C. She couldn’t recall exactly where, so even if she wanted to visit her family, there was no way to make it happen.
