Chapter 2215: Chapter 2216: An Accidental Encounter with Ning Zihan? (Part 6)

Ning Zihan was silent for a moment, but still sent two words to An Baobei: ”Self-torture.”

”I also feel like I’m tormenting myself. He clearly dislikes me, but... sigh... I’ll say it again, I just can’t control myself. If I could control myself, if I didn’t like him, would I be like this?”

Seeing such a long string of words from An Baobei, Ning Zihan didn’t know how to reply, so he simply didn’t. But he still couldn’t focus on listening to the senior management’s report.

Usually, once the senior management finishes reporting, they would ask for instructions. If Ning Zihan had nothing to instruct, another person would report.

Now, after the sales director finished reporting, he asked for Ning Zihan’s instructions, but Ning Zihan didn’t react at all.

”President?” The sales director tentatively called out.

Still no response from Ning Zihan.

The other senior managers began to look at each other, completely surprised that Ning Zihan could be so absent-minded for a day.

Liang Youxu, sitting closest to Ning Zihan, although not understanding why Ning Zihan fell into deep thought after looking at his phone and typing, still dutifully reminded him, ”President, the sales director has finished reporting.”

Only then did Ning Zihan snap out of it, realizing that An Baobei had distracted him, and now he truly had no mind to listen to the report anymore. As he got up and strode out, he said blandly without expression, ”Report again tomorrow at ten in the morning.”

Liang Youxu and the senior managers were taken aback. What’s going on?! Since when did their President become so lax with work?! Their President was the type to never postpone today’s tasks until tomorrow! Even if it meant working overtime, he would finish them! But now?! For what reason?!

As soon as Ning Zihan left the Western restaurant, he drove away in his car. Just two minutes after leaving the restaurant, he received another message from An Baobei on his phone.

He hesitated for a moment, then let out a big sigh before pulling over to focus on chatting with An Baobei.

”One Person, One Person, are you not there? Why aren’t you saying anything?”

”Did I disrupt your work? It’s only Wednesday today, I must have bothered you, right?”

After reading these two messages, Ning Zihan typed and sent: ”I’m not working.”

”You finally replied to me again!” An Baobei exclaimed with delight, this time using voice instead of text. ”But, One Person, let me tell you, it’s not good to ignore people like this. Everyone might think you’re not sociable.”

Ning Zihan still typed, ”I’m not sociable anyway.” Then, he typed three more words: ”Doesn’t matter.”

”Haha,” An Baobei laughed, ”You’re a bit like my dad in that way. Oh, and a bit like the person I like. My dad and the person I like are not very sociable, though my dad seems to have better relationships.”

”Does that mean you have an Oedipus complex?”

”I don’t think so, it’s just that the person I happen to like is a bit like my dad. By the way, we’ve been chatting for so long, do you want to meet up?” They’ve been chatting for half a year, and to be honest, she was quite curious about him.

”Do you understand me? And now you want to meet.”

”You’re right, I barely know anything about you. It’s always been me talking about myself, you’ve never told me about you. Why don’t you tell me something?”

”I won’t.”

But An Baobei laughed, ”You’re really becoming more like my dad and that person, so straightforward.”
