Chapter 2245: Chapter 2246: Good Enough Is Enough!

So what should she do now?

As Ning Wenxian was pondering this question, Su Chengyu couldn’t wait any longer and called her: ”Wenxian, have you asked your brother, what did he say? Did he agree to us?”

As soon as Ning Wenxian answered the phone, she heard Su Chengyu ask her. She didn’t hold back and said directly: ”My brother said he doesn’t like you, told me not to be with you, and I agreed.”

Su Chengyu wasn’t surprised at all that Ning Zihan didn’t like him. Right now, he really didn’t like Ning Zihan either!

Ever since he found out his precious was cheated, anyway, Su Chengyu couldn’t bring himself to like Ning Zihan. Even if Ning Zihan was his beloved’s brother.

But although Su Chengyu wasn’t surprised that Ning Zihan didn’t like him or opposed him being with Ning Wenxian, he still couldn’t accept it and immediately angrily said loudly: ”How can he do this?! What’s it to him that we’re dating? You asked for his opinion, cared about his thoughts, it’s not like you’re letting him ruin you and me!”

Ning Wenxian was silent for a while, then said softly: ”He asked me if I liked you. I said that I didn’t exactly like, just that I was quite happy being with you, and then he told me not to be with you, that he doesn’t like you... This result may be because I didn’t say it well, it’s not my brother’s fault...”

But Su Chengyu didn’t believe it: ”Don’t speak for him! When you said you were going to ask him, I guessed he would oppose us! Every time I see him now, I don’t give him a good look. If he agreed to us, that would be strange! But I didn’t expect that he wouldn’t care about your feelings at all and just disagree like that!”

”Why don’t you believe me...” Ning Wenxian felt powerless, ”It’s really because I said the wrong thing... If I had said I liked you, maybe he wouldn’t have said that. Anyway, no matter what, I agreed not to date you, so... I’m really sorry, Chengyu, for wasting so much of your time chasing me, I didn’t expect it to turn out like this.”

”What do you mean by this?!” Su Chengyu was quite agitated, ”Are we just going to end like this without any conclusion?!”

”But I’ve already promised my brother not to be with you...” Ning Wenxian was very conflicted.

”Can’t you be firm and be with me!” Su Chengyu was extremely exasperated. She was quite firm. But not firm about him, firm about her brother.

Ning Wenxian said again, very softly: ”I don’t want my boyfriend to have a bad relationship with my brother. My brother said he doesn’t like you, and you don’t seem to like him much either. It feels like you two won’t get along, so let’s just forget it.”

”Even if we don’t get along, we can still be together! I’m with you, not with him! As long as my relationship with him is passable, that’s enough!” Then, Su Chengyu softened his tone, ”I understand what you mean, you just don’t want your boyfriend to have a bad relationship with your brother, right? Alright, I’ll go to E City now to mend things with your brother, but I don’t want to lie to you. I’m going to reconcile with him, so that we’re not at each other’s throats, but as for how much I can improve my relationship with him, I can’t guarantee that.”

Ning Wenxian immediately brightened up and said with a laugh: ”Then go ahead and mend it. I know how my brother is, very few people can stand him. If your relationship can become like that of ordinary friends, that’s enough, you don’t have to make it really good with my brother. Of course, if you can truly have a very good relationship with my brother, I would be even happier.”
