Chapter 2224: Chapter 2225: Does Ning Zihan Have Someone He Likes? (Part 5)

”It’s not that,” Ning Wenxian struggled to regain her speaking ability, ”it’s just, why do I have to pretend? With just a gesture, wouldn’t many women flock to you? You can casually pick one to be your girlfriend; there’s no need for me to pretend.”

”You know I hate women.”

”...I’m a woman too.”

”I’ve never considered you a woman.”

Ning Wenxian felt both sad and amused, but she still agreed, ”I can pretend to be your girlfriend for a while, but you have to at least tell me why, right?”

”No reason.”

”Brother...” She sincerely felt her brother was messing with her.

”Starting tomorrow.” Leaving those four words, Ning Zihan went back to his room to sleep.

Ning Wenxian: ”...” He hasn’t changed one bit; her brother is still as unlikable as ever!

...

Because she had previously vowed not to contact Ning Zihan, An Baobei decided not to contact him even when she wanted to meet Ning Zihan’s girlfriend. Instead, she secretly tracked him.

Even though she didn’t know who the woman was, since she was Ning Zihan’s girlfriend, Ning Zihan was bound to meet her at some point.

Ning Zihan returned home the night Wen Xian came back to the country and then continued staying at his villa in the Southern suburbs.

Although An Baobei followed him from a considerable distance, she had been trailing him for several days. And since she also talked online with ”One Person” about her plans, he figured out without much effort that An Baobei was following him.

That day, An Baobei again chatted online with ”One Person”: ”I’ve been tracking him for five days now, and he still hasn’t met up with that woman. Could it be she’s not really his girlfriend?”

Ning Zihan snorted lightly before typing back, ”You’ve only been following him; you can’t keep an eye on him twenty-four hours a day. How can you be completely sure he hasn’t met her again?”

”True...” An Baobei nodded, ”Then I’ll keep tracking him tomorrow. I don’t believe that with constant tracking, I won’t bump into that woman at least once!”

The next day, An Baobei continued to drive and follow Ning Zihan.

Ning Zihan glanced at the rearview mirror, noticing An Baobei’s car trailing him. He then snorted softly and drove in a direction away from his company while calling Ning Wenxian.

”Wen Xian, hurry and come out now. Wait for me at the community gate; I’ll come pick you up.”

”Brother, why are you picking me up?” Ning Wenxian was puzzled.

”Did you forget you need to pretend to be my girlfriend? Since you’re my girlfriend, I need to take you out for a stroll.”

Feeling like she’s being treated like a dog, Ning Wenxian: ”...”

She paused for a moment before softly replying, ”Brother, I don’t want to be exposed.” Having such a prominent brother, she’d definitely be caught in photographs wherever she goes if she gets exposed.

”Don’t worry, I won’t let you be exposed, just a little stroll.”

Another stroll...

Ning Wenxian paused again, then gently agreed, ”Alright then, I’ll head to the gate now.”

Shortly after Ning Wenxian arrived at the community gate, Ning Zihan drove up. And to her surprise, Ning Zihan intimately circled his arm around her shoulder, opened the passenger side door, and let her sit in.

Ning Wenxian: ”...” Brother, you’re scaring me a little...

No one had ever sat in the passenger seat of his car before, not even their father...

Ning Zihan ignored his sister’s terrified expression and bent down to buckle Ning Wenxian’s seatbelt.
