Chapter 2217: Chapter 2218: A Chance Encounter with Ning Zihan? (Part 8)

Before Su Changyi could speak, An Jing said, ”It’s pretty boring at home, I’m happier with your dad. Besides, when I go to the office, I’m still with your dad, not working, it’s fine.”

Su Haoyu happened to come down from upstairs and heard this, then laughed, ”Baobei, you should just go along with your parents. They can’t be without each other anyway. If you make your mom stay at home, your dad will definitely stay home too. But Uncle Lu told me that the company is very busy now, and your dad can’t stay at home. It’s best for him to be at the office every day. After these two months, everything should calm down. Then your dad can stay at home for half a year, and the company won’t have any problems.”

An Baobei no longer persuaded An Jing not to go to the company, but still couldn’t help but remind, ”Mom, you have to be careful.”

An Jing felt very gratified by her daughter’s concern, ”Even if your dad is working, he will still take care of me. Your dad’s office also has a dedicated rest room. I will be fine, don’t worry.”

Only then did An Baobei stop saying anything more.

Although Su Changyi didn’t express his opinion, he had made up his mind to take time off to fully care for his wife once this busy period was over. Honestly, every time he took his wife to the company, he was always on edge, afraid that his wife might have an accident.

His wife was already five months pregnant, and with twins, her belly was much bigger than with just one.

An Jing was quite confident and calm about herself, as she was well taken care of by her husband. She was also careful and attentive, making regular prenatal checkups. All she did was go out once a day, she was truly at ease.

After lunch and a nap for an hour, Su Changyi took An Jing to the company.

As soon as they entered his office, Lu Yimi followed in to report, ”Mr. Ye from Ye’s Enterprise came in the morning, saying he wanted to discuss the investment in their company’s research project with you. I saw that you weren’t in the office this morning, so I asked him to come at 2:30 in the afternoon. He should be arriving soon.”

”Ask him to come in when he arrives,” Su Changyi said calmly as he helped An Jing to the sofa in the guest area.

”Okay, President.”

After Lu Yimi left, An Jing smiled and asked, ”You’re going to discuss business with someone, should I avoid it?”

Su Changyi found it funny and poured An Jing a glass of water, saying, ”Are you deliberately trying to annoy me?”

”I am trying to annoy you. So, are you annoyed?”

”No, I know you are doing it on purpose. If you’re tired, you can rest in the lounge, no need to listen to my business talks.”

”I’m not tired now, I’ve had an hour’s nap at home, plus, I like watching you talk business with others, you look so handsome~”

Su Changyi was very happy to hear this, the corners of his mouth naturally curved up. After exchanging a gentle kiss with An Jing, he couldn’t help but remind, ”If you feel tired during the meeting, make sure to tell me.”

”Mm. I won’t worry about interrupting your business, rest assured,” she replied with a smile.

Su Changyi was very pleased with An Jing like this.

An Jing took a sip of water and curiously asked, ”Is Ye’s Enterprise very big?”

Su Changyi said, ”Not at all, it’s quite small. However, Ye’s Enterprise is in trouble. If no one invests in their research project, it’s estimated that Ye’s Enterprise will go bankrupt.”

”That serious...?”

”This is also why their president personally came all this way to find me.”
