Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 2244: Chapter 2245: Ning Zihan Disagrees

”The doctor said it’s a good thing my brother sent me to the hospital in time, otherwise I might have been burned into a fool. And it’s also thanks to my brother that he rescued me from my mother’s hands.”

”Even though my brother dislikes women, he’s really good to me as his sister, although he doesn’t treat me as a woman. But he’s truly responsible.”

”My dad wasn’t even that protective of me, but my brother shielded me entirely. You could say I grew up under my brother’s protection.”

”Even though dad is my biological dad, in my heart, he doesn’t compare to my brother.”

”I can ignore anyone’s feelings, but I just can’t ignore my brother’s.”

Ning Wenxian chuckled softly at this, then asked, ”You understand now why I need my brother’s consent, right?”

Su Chengyu immediately replied, ”I get it, but I feel it’s too much. He’s good to you and changed your life, letting you grow up healthy under his protection, but you can’t let him control your life. Who you date and marry should follow your own will; it’s your life to live, not his.”

Ning Wenxian laughed and said, ”He didn’t control my life, I just don’t want him to be unhappy. So I want to hear his thoughts. If he doesn’t oppose us, we can try dating. If he opposes us, then... I’ll just have to say sorry to you.”

Ning Wenxian’s stubbornness left Su Chengyu speechless. But since he really liked Ning Wenxian, Su Chengyu could only say, ”Then ask your brother and see what his attitude is.”

”Okay.”

As soon as she hung up Su Chengyu’s call, Ning Wenxian called her brother Ning Zihan. Her brother Ning Zihan rarely stayed at home, and today he wasn’t staying at home but at his villa outside.

Ning Zihan had just returned home, hadn’t even taken off his tie, when he received Ning Wenxian’s call. He asked rather flatly, ”What’s up?”

Ning Wenxian was already used to Ning Zihan being like this, not caring at all, and gently smiled, ”Brother, Su Chengyu has been pursuing me for two and a half months, I want to try dating him, what do you think?”

Thinking about how An Baobei decided to cut ties with him, and he planned to do the same with An Baobei, if his sister were to be with Su Chengyu, how would he continue with that decision?

With these thoughts, Ning Zihan asked, ”Do you like him?”

”Not exactly like, I just find him very sunny, and I’m quite happy being with him.” Ning Wenxian spoke honestly.

Ning Zihan initially thought that if his sister liked Su Chengyu, spoiling things would break her heart, but hearing his sister say she didn’t exactly like Su Chengyu, he had no scruples and immediately said, ”In that case, don’t be with him. I don’t like him.”

Ning Wenxian was a bit disappointed but still smiled and agreed, ”Since you don’t like him, let’s leave it. I don’t want my boyfriend to get along poorly with my brother.”

”Okay.” Pausing, ”Anything else?”

”No.”

”Then I’ll hang up.” After speaking, Ning Zihan indeed hung up the phone.

Looking at the phone, Ning Wenxian felt a bit stifled. Moments ago, she felt she didn’t exactly like Su Chengyu, but now thinking about having to tell Su Chengyu she couldn’t date him, her mood worsened. Had she already fallen for Su Chengyu?

But she had already promised her brother she wouldn’t be with Su Chengyu...
