Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 2191: Chapter 2192: Freedom (Part 2)

An Jing and Su Changyi were just waiting for Lin Anrou and the others to make a big deal out of it. As soon as Lin Anrou posted the household registration photo, the public opinion immediately shifted to their side, questioning how Su Changyi, as a son-in-law, could say that his father-in-law, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law were all dead.

Lin Anrou, Lin Jiecheng, and Wu Meifeng were feeling triumphant, thinking they had successfully taken revenge on Su Changyi and An Jing.

Su Changyi, however, did not rush to explain. Instead, he and An Jing, accompanied by a lawyer, went to the court to charge Lin Jiecheng and Wu Meifeng with child abuse, long-term domestic violence, and obstruction of marital freedom, and to charge Lin Anrou with attempted murder.

As soon as the court accepted the case, Su Changyi posted all the evidence and details of the case online. At the same time, An Jing shared a long article describing what kind of life Lin Anjing had led in the Lin family over the years.

The last line of the article read: ”They are still alive, but I would rather they were all dead.”

The evidence included six short videos showing Lin Anjing being brutally beaten by Lin Jiecheng and Wu Meifeng from age five to ten. In some of the videos, Wu Meifeng is seen kicking Lin Anjing harshly.

The videos even show neighbors stepping in to stop it, only to be yelled at by Lin Jiecheng and Wu Meifeng, who told them not to interfere in their family matters, claiming that it was their own daughter they were beating, and it was none of the neighbors’ business.

The evidence also included numerous shocking photos of Lin Anjing’s battered body, which were enough to make one doubt the existence of such scumbags in the world.

There were also recordings from kind neighbors describing the life Lin Anjing had led for years, including incidents where Lin Anrou personally pushed Lin Anjing down the stairs and didn’t even bother sending her to the hospital. Many neighbors agreed to testify in court.

The evidence also included screenshots of Lin Anrou demanding fifty million as a bride price, shocking everyone once again by how low Lin Anrou’s family could stoop. Even after treating Lin Anjing so badly, how could they still have the audacity to demand a bride price?

...and so on.

The evidence was plentiful and conclusive, convincing anyone at a glance of its authenticity.

Lin Anjing’s ordeal immediately sparked public outrage. With leaders and celebrities from various fields reposting it, less than half an hour after the evidence surfaced, the entire internet was united in condemnation of Lin Jiecheng, Wu Meifeng, and Lin Anrou.

The three of them were dumbfounded by all the online criticism, completely unprepared for the existence of so much evidence. Just as they were at a loss for what to do, the police arrived to arrest them on charges of child abuse, domestic violence, and attempted murder.

When An Baobei learned that someone had dared to bully her parents, she took out the Longsword from the safe, ready to deal with Lin Anrou, Lin Jiecheng, and Wu Meifeng, but was stopped by An Jing just in time.

”Mom, don’t stop me! Let me go kill them! In our Tianyun, anyone who dares to treat you like that would have their entire clan executed!”

An Jing took the sword from her and put it back in the safe while saying with a smile, ”This is not Tianyun. This is a society governed by law. I’ve already sued them, and the law will bring them to justice.”

”But just letting them go to prison is too easy on them!” An Baobei said indignantly.

”Since we’re here, we have to abide by the rules here. Alright, don’t be angry anymore. They tried to bully your parents, but it’s not like they succeeded.”

”I’m still angry. I won’t let anyone bully my parents!”
