Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 2185: Chapter 2186: An Jing and Su Changyi’s Modern Wedding (11)

Seeing Su Haoyu complaining again, Su Chengyu was also annoyed: ”Dad, just listen, Brother is doing this for your own good.”

”Yeah, Dad, your health is important.” An Jing also agreed.

An Baobei nodded repeatedly: ”Grandpa, you really need to listen, otherwise we’ll all be worried about you.”

”Alright, alright, I’ll listen, okay? Besides, I didn’t say I wouldn’t listen. I clearly said I won’t drink anymore, so what? Can’t I complain a bit?” Su Haoyu leaned back against the headboard, eyeing them.

Su Changyi didn’t say anything more, but handed the porridge over to Su Haoyu, letting him eat.

In that life in Xiyun, Su Haoyu had stomach problems. In this life, although Su Haoyu didn’t have stomach issues, he was still worried that one day Su Haoyu might end up with stomach problems again.

And in that life in Xiyun, Su Haoyu died in his fifties while saving his eldest son, Su Yi Jing, from the poisoned sword of an assassin. Although he later leveled Chilin and offered the head of the Emperor of Chilin to honor Su Haoyu, he still felt a huge regret in his heart.

He didn’t serve Su Haoyu until he naturally died of old age.

In this life, he must ensure Su Haoyu is healthy, and he’ll do his best to make sure Su Haoyu lives to be a hundred years old.

Su Haoyu had once promised him that he would live to be a hundred...

The current Su Haoyu doesn’t have the memories from that life in Xiyun, so how would he know what he promised Su Changyi? He only saw Su Changyi handing him the porridge, so he obediently ate it.

Although he doesn’t want to admit aging, after all, he’s fifty now, and not as young as the guys, he needs to pay more attention to his health so as not to worry his son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter.

After just two bites, he spoke again: ”What are you all doing here with me? Hurry up and go keep the guests company. There are still so many guests, don’t neglect them. They came to the wedding out of respect for us.”

”If you finish eating and still feel your head hurts, lie down for a while longer.” Su Changyi instructed again out of concern before taking An Jing with him. The wedding was over, but the guests hadn’t left yet, and since they were staying, it was only natural to accompany them.

”Nagging away.” Su Haoyu ate the porridge while smiling contentedly and complaining.

Su Chengyu watched, finding it amusing: ”Dad, just be content. It’s rare for Brother to show his concern so openly.”

”True.” Su Haoyu nodded happily, feeling particularly comforted and stopped complaining.

An Baobei added a pillow behind Su Haoyu’s back to make him more comfortable, then turned to Su Chengyu: ”Second Uncle, you should go help keep those people company, too. I’m here, and I’ll take care of Grandpa.”

Su Haoyu laughed: ”I don’t need you to take care of me; just keep me company and chat.”

Su Chengyu couldn’t help but remind Su Haoyu a couple more times not to get out of bed if his head hurt before going to help An Jing and Su Changyi entertain the guests who hadn’t left yet.

After finishing a bowl of porridge, Su Haoyu didn’t want to eat anymore. His head still hurt a bit, so he lay down to nap again and didn’t really chat with An Baobei. Seeing Su Haoyu fall asleep, An Baobei left his room to help entertain the guests who hadn’t left.

After a day of fun on the island and once all the wedding guests had left, Su Changyi, An Jing, Su Chengyu, Su Haoyu, and An Baobei left the island and went home as well.
