Chapter 2152: Chapter 2153: Surprise (Part 3)

Su Haoyu, on the other hand, was stunned for a moment and said grumpily, ”Yi Er, you’re too outrageous. You and Jingjing are so young, and you already have such a big daughter? Besides, you and Jingjing have only known each other for a little over a year, so how could you possibly have...”

Su Changyi replied, ”I never said she was our biological child.”

An Jing laughed and said, ”It’s like this, Dad. Baobei is my best friend, but once she and I made a bet. The loser had to call the other ’Mom.’ I won, so she started calling me ’Mom’ and kept calling me that. Now that I’m with Changyi, she naturally has to call him ’Dad,’ call you ’Grandpa,’ and call Chengyu ’Uncle.’

”So that’s how it is.” Su Haoyu understood. ”But will her parents agree?”

By parents, he obviously meant An Baobei’s biological parents.

An Jing said, ”She’s an orphan, she’s never known who her parents are.”

”So what are you doing now?” Su Haoyu still didn’t quite understand why they brought An Baobei home.

An Jing had only just entered the Su Family, so it was awkward for her to say, so Su Changyi spoke up: ”Dad, Chengyu, you won’t mind having another family member, right?”

”This...” Su Haoyu was quite hesitant, while Su Chengyu looked very sullen.

Su Changyi continued, ”She’s all alone, and our family can afford to take care of One Person. Jing Er and I have decided that we will raise her as our own daughter.”

Su Haoyu said, ”It’s not a problem to have One Person more in the family. But you and Jingjing are still so young. Won’t you find it strange to have such a big girl calling you Mom and Dad?”

An Baobei immediately said with a cheeky smile, ”Grandpa, Mom and Dad weren’t used to it at first, but they got used to it after a while. It’s all just a form of address anyway.”

Seeing An Baobei’s straightforwardness and seemingly likable personality, Su Haoyu laughed, ”Being suddenly called Grandpa, I’m old, so I don’t find it strange; I’m quite happy about it. But, Yi Er and Jingjing, now that your big daughter is so grown up, when will you think about having One Person of your own?”

Now that he called her their big daughter, it was clear that Su Haoyu accepted An Baobei as his granddaughter.

An Jing was very happy: ”Dad, Changyi and I haven’t had our wedding yet. We’ll consider having children after the wedding.”

Upon hearing this, Su Haoyu was overjoyed: ”Great, great, great. So, when are you planning to get married? Any ideas?”

An Jing looked at Su Changyi.

Su Changyi said, ”We’ve decided—two months from now.” They had found their beloved daughter, and it was time for him and his wife to hold their wedding.

Su Haoyu was even happier: ”Then the wedding preparations should start now!” Seeing Su Chengyu still looking sullen, Su Haoyu nudged him with his elbow: ”What’s wrong? Your brother and sister-in-law are getting married, and you’re not happy?”

”I’m happy,” Su Chengyu said weakly, almost lifeless.

”You’re still acting like this!” Su Haoyu was exasperated enough to want to smack Su Chengyu on the back of his head.

Su Chengyu quickly dodged and asked more sullenly, ”Brother, Sister-in-law, can I date your big daughter on the condition of marriage?”

An Jing: ”...”

Su Changyi: ”...”

Su Haoyu immediately burst into loud, hearty laughter.

An Baobei, however, said earnestly, ”Uncle, you’re my Uncle. We can’t mess up the generational hierarchy, and we can’t date.”

Su Chengyu said, ”It’s not like we’re real relatives.”

An Baobei firmly replied, ”I won’t date someone from the older generation.”
