Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 2170: Chapter 2171: You’re Ignoring Me (3)

The housekeeper in the villa was in the living room, and upon seeing An Baobei, was quite surprised, while his heart tightened. Why on earth has this troublemaker come again?

Noticing that An Baobei wasn’t holding Longsword, the housekeeper felt somewhat relieved, but not completely, and blocked An Baobei, asking, ”Miss An, why are you here?”

”Where is Ning Zihan? I’m looking for him.”

”The young master is upstairs.”

An Baobei immediately bypassed the housekeeper and rushed upstairs, heading to Ning Zihan’s room to find him.

She knocked on Ning Zihan’s door, but no one answered. She knocked again, but still no response. In her impatience, she kicked the door, which instantly made a loud noise, and from not far behind came Ning Zihan’s restrained voice, ”Do you really dislike the lock on my door so much?”

She’s broken it again!

Luckily, the door wasn’t broken; otherwise, not only the lock but the door itself would need replacing.

Upon hearing this, An Baobei turned around in surprise, ”Eh? Why are you outside? Weren’t you supposed to be...” She spoke with the look of a child who did something wrong, pointing at the room she had kicked open.

Ning Zihan didn’t speak.

The housekeeper, however, following Ning Zihan, said, ”Miss An, you didn’t clarify earlier. I said the young master is upstairs; I didn’t say he’s in the room. He was in the study. I just told him you arrived, and he came over immediately. Who would have thought, you...”

He didn’t finish, but the housekeeper looked sympathetically at the broken door lock.

It was supposed to be the best lock, so why did it get kicked open so easily? How much strength does she have in her foot!

An Baobei could only smile awkwardly. She had knocked earlier but was too impatient to try the handle. Seeing Ning Zihan hadn’t opened the door from inside, she thought he deliberately didn’t open it, so she kicked it, not knowing he wasn’t inside at all.

Ning Zihan was very surprised, albeit a bit happy, at An Baobei’s visit. But seeing her kick his door again, he wasn’t too pleased. However, seeing An Baobei drenched, Ning Zihan softened his expression and said, ”Your room hasn’t been occupied; all your clothes and belongings are still there. Go take a hot shower and change into dry clothes, or you’ll catch a cold.”

An Baobei, realizing she was soaked, couldn’t converse well with Ning Zihan, so obediently went to the room next to Ning Zihan’s to shower and change clothes.

The housekeeper went to find someone to replace the lock.

Ning Zihan entered his room and wasn’t particularly bothered by the sound of the lock being replaced; instead, he stood by the floor-to-ceiling window, lost in thought as he gazed outside.

When An Baobei finished her shower and changed into dry clothes, she toweled her hair while making her way to Ning Zihan’s room.

The door lock had been replaced, but the room door was open, so An Baobei walked through the wide-open door into Ning Zihan’s room.

Seeing Ning Zihan standing by the floor-to-ceiling window, seemingly focused on something, she walked over, glanced out along his line of sight, found nothing interesting outside, and less happily asked, ”You don’t respond to video, nor answer calls; are you mad at me?”

Ning Zihan turned slightly, looking at her with an expressionless face. His calm eyes held undetectable complex emotions, but his tone was calm without any emotional fluctuation, ”Did you come just for this?”

He truly hadn’t expected her to come, especially for this matter.
