Chapter 1945: Chapter 1946: You’re Good Just the Way You Are

Upon seeing An Yiyun’s pale face, extremely weak and lying on the bed, Gong Le rushed to the bedside with great concern: ”Brother Yun, what illness did you catch? Just yesterday, you seemed perfectly fine.”

An Yiyun weakly smiled and reassured Gong Le: ”Lele, don’t worry. Brother Yun is alright. Brother Yun just stayed up late dealing with state affairs last night and caught a cold. A couple of days’ rest and I’ll be fine. Cough, cough, cough...” As he spoke, An Yiyun started coughing violently.

Gong Le, witnessing this, became even more worried: ”When I caught a cold last time, it wasn’t as severe as yours, Brother Yun.”

An Yiyun weakly smiled again: ”Brother Yun’s health can’t be compared to yours. Brother Yun is just a useless person.”

”An Yiyun!” An Yiqing immediately shouted angrily, calling his fourth brother by name. The warning in his voice was very obvious. He really disliked his brother calling himself a useless person.

An Yiyun quickly reassured: ”Brother, I won’t say it anymore. Isn’t that enough? Don’t be angry.”

An Yiqing said blandly: ”I’ve already written to second brother, asking him to come and take a look at you again.”

”It’s just a cold. The Imperial Physician has already seen it. There’s no need for second brother. Besides, my body is like this, prone to illnesses. There’s not much use in having second brother come.”

An Yiqing pursed his lips slightly before saying: ”Can’t you just not be the Prime Minister?”

An Yiyun smiled bitterly: ”Brother, it’s the only thing I have left of value in life, and you want to take it away from me?”

”I’m just concerned about your health.”

”Rest assured, I know my limits. Our parents are still around. How could I possibly let them lose their child before their own passing?”

Hearing this, An Yiqing could only sigh.

An Yiyun actually felt uncomfortable inside, but he did not show it on his face. Instead, he smiled and looked at Gong Le: ”Lele, Brother Yun has been busy and hasn’t had a good chat with you. Today we can talk properly.”

”Brother Yun, you should sleep a little more. Whatever you want to say, it can wait. It’s not urgent.”

”Our Lele is grown up now, already thinking about Brother Yun.” An Yiyun was very gratified.

Gong Le said: ”But my parents said I’m not mature at all, and that I’m a child who won’t grow up.”

”It’s good not to grow up.” An Yiyun laughed. ”I think you’re fine the way you are, happy every day, without worries.”

Gong Le grinned: ”I think I’m fine too.” Pausing a moment, ”Brother Yun, you must get better soon. I don’t like seeing you sick like this; it makes me feel really bad.”

Hearing Gong Le say he felt bad, An Yiyun hurriedly reassured: ”Lele, don’t feel bad. Brother Yun should be well by tomorrow, and Lele should stay happy. Maybe Brother Yun will get better today.”

Gong Le immediately nodded: ”Okay! I’ll be happy, and I hope Brother Yun gets better today!”

An Yiyun’s face instantly filled with joy.

...

Two days later, although An Yiyun’s cold wasn’t completely healed, he resumed attending to state affairs.

He was the Prime Minister, and indeed had many things to do.

...

On November 12th, Su Yixing and Huo Qingyi arrived in the Imperial City.

Seeing Su Yixing, An Yiqing was very surprised: ”Second brother, how did you arrive so quickly? I only wrote to you a few days ago.”

Su Yixing said: ”You wrote to me?”

Upon hearing this, An Yiqing realized that Su Yixing hadn’t received the letter, ”Yes, I wrote to you on the seventh. That day, fourth brother was sick, as if he was about to be buried from just a cold. I felt bad, so I wrote asking you to come take a look at fourth brother’s health.”
