Chapter 1939: Chapter 1940: She Makes Delicious Tea

Anyway, he had already made up his mind, he was going to stick it out with her.

He just didn’t believe it, he, a full-grown man, with her following him every day like this, could she really always see him as just her master and feel no romantic affection for him at all.

...

On the day Su Yixing and Huo Qingyi set out for the Imperial City, it happened to be the first day of November.

And on this day, An Yiqing was playing the zither in the back garden pavilion of the royal palace. As for Gong Le, she was on the side brewing tea while watching An Yiqing play the zither.

The sound of the zither was very melodious, and Gong Le praised, ”Big Brother Qing, your zither playing is really beautiful.”

”...Don’t talk.” An Yiqing felt that the atmosphere, which was originally quite good, was completely ruined by Gong Le.

”Oh, oh.”

Once the tea was ready, Gong Le poured a cup for An Yiqing and placed it where he could easily reach it, then poured another cup for herself.

Then, holding her tea, she sat beside the zither table, appreciating An Yiqing’s zither playing from a closer distance.

As she appreciated, she couldn’t help but exclaim again, ”Big Brother Qing, you look really handsome.”

An Yiqing, caught up in his music, heard Gong Le’s voice and felt the atmosphere was once again completely spoiled by her, so he simply stopped playing the zither. He could maintain a cultured demeanor, but Gong Le... she simply couldn’t.

As punishment, he flicked Gong Le on the forehead with his fingertip, then picked up the cup of tea, smelled it, and laughed, ”All you’re good at is brewing tea.”

Yes, that’s right, the tea brewed by Gong Le was exceptionally delicious.

He always found it odd, clearly Gong Le couldn’t sit still and wasn’t refined at all, yet the tea she brewed was particularly aromatic and delicious.

”Big Brother Qing, are you complimenting me?” Gong Le asked, utterly delighted, leaning even closer to An Yiqing.

Instead of answering her right away, An Yiqing took a sip of tea first, then slowly said with a smile, ”It’s kind of a compliment, and kind of not. Because, besides brewing tea, you’re not good at anything else.”

Gong Le giggled, ”Then I’ll just take it all as a compliment.”

An Yiqing just smiled and shook his head. To him, she would always only hear the good things.

After drinking the tea in her cup, Gong Le put it back and then, cupping her face, looked at An Yiqing and cheerfully asked, ”Big Brother Qing, why don’t you go out to play? You used to go out and play often, but now, it’s been many days since I saw you leave the royal palace.”

”Didn’t I promise to take you wherever I go? If I go out to play and you go with me, what if you pick up bad habits?” If he let Gong Le pick up bad habits from him, her Uncle Gong and Aunt Ye would definitely have his hide. Gong’s uncle and Aunt Ye only had this one precious treasure.

”How would I pick up bad habits?” Gong Le was quite puzzled, ”Big Brother Qing used to play every day, and I never saw you become bad.”

An Yiqing laughed, ”I’m not bad?”

”Not bad at all, Big Brother Qing is just fine.”

Looking at Gong Le’s silly smile, An Yiqing said, ”Silly.” He didn’t think he was good at all, he sincerely didn’t know why she’d think he was good. Of course, he didn’t think he was bad, either.

”Why do you keep calling me silly?! I’ve told you so many times, I’m clumsy, not silly!”

An Yiqing smiled and pinched her pouting cheek, ”Yes, you’re clumsy, not silly, a silly person couldn’t brew such delicious tea.”

Saying that, he poured her another cup of tea and even personally handed it to her.

Gong Le immediately lit up with happiness, holding the tea in both hands, looking at him with a grin, ”Thank you, Big Brother Qing.”

An Yiqing just smiled. She really was someone who could become happy so easily.
