Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 1928: Chapter 1929: I Won’t Indulge This Bad Habit of Yours

Also, after a brief pause, An Yiqing asked with an innocent smile, ”So, was it their idea for you to get caught in the rain?”

Gong Le immediately nodded, ”Mm hm.”

The three younger brothers actually teamed up to plot against him, An Yiqing thought coldly: Very good.

But his face still remained smiling, ”Then tell me, what do you want me to agree to?”

Gong Le immediately grinned, ”Just that wherever you go in the future, you take me along, okay?”

An Yiqing laughed as he shoved the medicine bowl into Gong Le’s hands, ”No.”

Gong Le instantly pouted unhappily, ”Why not? I’m the one who got sick because of you.”

”You also said it was you who made yourself sick, not me. Why should I agree to you?”

”Then make me sick.” Gong Le spoke particularly lightly, as if her health didn’t matter at all.

An Yiqing was quite displeased with Gong Le’s attitude. Gong Le could throw a tantrum at him, but why trouble her own body?

And so, An Yiqing felt a bit angry.

”Your body is yours, the medicine is in your hand now, drink it, I’m leaving.” An Yiqing couldn’t be bothered to say more to Gong Le, it was pointless to talk.

Gong Le quickly grabbed him, anxiously shoved the medicine bowl back into his hands, ”If you don’t agree with me, I won’t take the medicine!”

”Heh...” Looking at the medicine bowl forcibly shoved back into his hands, An Yiqing chuckled helplessly. ”I won’t indulge this habit of yours, actually daring to threaten me with your health. Fine, I don’t care if you take it or not, anyway, I’ll leave the medicine here, you figure it out yourself.”

Without saying anything more, An Yiqing placed the medicine bowl on the table beside the bed and turned to leave.

”Big Brother Qing!” Gong Le immediately panicked, wanting to call after An Yiqing, but he didn’t look back.

Having no choice, Gong Le could only yell at An Yiqing’s retreating figure, ”If you don’t agree with me, I really won’t take the medicine! It’s true! No joking! Don’t not believe me!”

Seeing An Yiqing still didn’t look back, Gong Le pouted high, angrily glared at the medicine bowl placed beside the table, then lay back on the bed, with her back turned to the medicine bowl, looking like she really wouldn’t take the medicine.

Although An Yiqing left, upon exiting the room, he instructed the palace maid to go in and persuade Gong Le to take the medicine.

However, Gong Le didn’t listen to the palace maids’ persuasion at all, still lying with her back to the door and the medicine bowl.

...

When An Yiqing returned to his chamber, he undressed, lay in bed, and tried to sleep. However, despite having his eyes closed for quite some time, he couldn’t fall asleep.

In the end, he opened his eyes again.

”There’s still no report, that fool won’t really stubbornly refuse to take the medicine...” An Yiqing muttered.

Unable to let go, he sat up and called out, ”Come here.”

Shadow One was An Yiqing’s close guard and confidant. Upon hearing An Yiqing’s voice from outside the door, he immediately entered, ”Third Prince, what is it?”

An Yiqing first sighed helplessly, then said, ”Go and see if Miss Gong has taken her medicine.”

”Yes!”

Soon, Shadow One returned, respectfully reporting, ”Miss Gong still hasn’t taken her medicine, the medicine has been reheated several times, no matter how people persuade, she still won’t take it.” After a pause, ”Miss Gong coughed.”

”Coughing?!” An Yiqing immediately got out of bed, ”Just now she seemed fine, how come she started coughing so soon?”
