Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 1917: Chapter 1918: At Ease

”Mom...” An Jing found out so soon, and Feng Feiyan felt a bit shy, her face slightly flushed.

”Jing’er said you’re pregnant, so your dad and I came to see you. Baobei said she also wanted to come, Jing’er is dressing her now, they should be back soon.” An Jing said with a smile as she helped Feng Feiyan sit down in the room.

Feng Feiyan just smiled shyly.

An Jing looked at Feng Feiyan’s belly and exclaimed with a smile, ”I didn’t expect your dad and I to become grandparents so soon.”

Feng Feiyan was stunned, ”Soon?” She thought she got pregnant very late after so many years.

”It is quite soon, both your dad and I are only in our forties.”

”Mom, I’m... I’m already twenty-one...” She was only two months younger than Su Yi Jing, her husband. Her mom had her when she was about fourteen or fifteen, and she was already twenty-one before getting pregnant, which was really late for her.

It was only then that An Jing realized, she was so happy that she forgot about the early marriage and childbirth norms here, and she laughed awkwardly, ”Your dad and I must be getting younger, that’s why it feels so soon.”

With filial son and daughter-in-law, an especially adorable daughter, nothing worrisome, and happiness every day, neither she nor her husband had any more grey hair, it was as black as ever. Last time Ye Zhi came, she even praised them for looking a few years younger.

As An Jing finished speaking, Su Yi Jing came in with An Baobei on his back. As soon as An Baobei was put down, she ran to Feng Feiyan’s side, her eyes sparkling as she looked at Feng Feiyan’s belly.

”Big sister-in-law, is there really a baby inside this belly?”

Feng Feiyan patted An Baobei’s little head with a smile and nodded, ”Yes.”

”That’s wonderful!” An Baobei clapped her tiny hands happily. Then, curiously asked, ”When will the baby come out?”

”Baobei,” An Jing smiled as she pulled An Baobei into her arms, ”Babies take ten months to develop, so it will probably take eight or nine more months for this baby to come out.”

”That’s a long time, can’t it come out sooner?”

”You can’t say things like that.” An Jing quickly covered An Baobei’s little mouth. ”If the baby comes out too early, it won’t be developed properly and won’t be healthy.”

”I see,” An Baobei was startled, ”Then I won’t say it anymore!” She said, using her own hand to cover her mouth instead of needing An Jing to do it.

”Our Baobei is so good.” An Jing praised An Baobei, then went back to talking with Feng Feiyan. Because Feng Feiyan was pregnant, An Jing wanted her to rest early, so she didn’t talk to Feng Feiyan for long. After a while, she left with Xiao Changyi and An Baobei.

After An Jing and the others left, Feng Feiyan touched her belly and smiled happily at Su Yi Jing, ”Mom and Dad really don’t seem to care when I got pregnant, they even thought I got pregnant quickly. But now that I’m pregnant, I can relax.”

After five years of being together, she still hadn’t conceived. In truth, she was really worried before, afraid she wouldn’t be able to bear a child.

”You just like overthinking.” Su Yi Jing sat next to her, wrapped an arm around her, and she leaned into his embrace. ”But like you said, now that you’re pregnant, you can relax.” So she wouldn’t overthink anymore.

”Yes.” She was truly relieved, genuinely happy, with her mouth curling up uncontrollably.

...

Because Feng Feiyan was pregnant, Su Yi Jing didn’t let her do anything anymore, he took care of everything inside and outside the house.
