Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 1933: Chapter 1934: We Really Do Value Our Pride!

Upon hearing this, the three of them had a very bad premonition.

Sure enough, An Yiqing continued, ”I’m going to smack your palms.”

”No way!” The three immediately rushed toward An Yiqing, knelt on the ground, and hugged An Yiqing’s legs, begging for mercy. ”Third Brother, we have our pride. Even our parents have never smacked our palms. If you do, we’ll be so humiliated.”

They were already fifteen, young men indeed, and being smacked on the palms like little kids was a punishment they sincerely couldn’t accept, and truly felt it was embarrassing.

”Pfft hahaha...” Gong Le couldn’t hold it in and burst out laughing, ”A Qi, Ah Lin, A Zhi, you’re actually going to get your palms smacked, hahaha... I’ve been in school for so many years, super dumb even, and never got my palms smacked. But you guys are... hahaha...”

The three of them, both furious and anxious, pointed at the roaring Gong Le and shouted, ”Third Brother, look, Lele is laughing at us. If this gets out, so many people will laugh at us!”

An Yiqing remained unmoved, ”Only by smacking your palms and embarrassing you will you remember not to act without thinking of the consequences in the future.”

”Third Brother, how can you be so cruel...” The three of them looked at An Yiqing in disbelief.

An Yiqing had a ’that’s just how I am’ look on his face.

An Yiqi said, ”I don’t want to stay in the Imperial City anymore. I want to go back and find our parents. I’ve grown up never being smacked on the palms. I absolutely won’t let you smack mine.”

”Right, we shouldn’t stay in the Imperial City any longer,” An Yilin agreed.

An Yizhi said, ”Then let’s go find our parents now!”

”Okay!”

They were just planning to stop pleading with An Yiqing and intended to go and hide away with their parents. They didn’t want to be this embarrassed. But before they could get up and leave, the study door was locked from the outside by Shadow One.

”Third Brother...” The three were even more incredulous, quite desperate.

An Yiqing took out a ruler, ”You can go find our parents, but you must let me smack your palms first.”

”Third Brother, you really can’t be so cruel. We do care about our dignity...”

As An Yiqing took a step towards them, they took a step back until finally, they had nowhere left to retreat.

”Stretch out your hands,” An Yiqing was not polite at all, ”I won’t hit you too much, just ten slaps each.”

”Third Brother, you’re trampling our dignity...” The three were on the verge of tears, ”We, we... we’ll fight you...”

An Yiqing raised an eyebrow, ”Oh, you want to fight me?”

The three quickly said, ”How could we! You’re our brother, how could we ever fight you!”

An Yiqing nodded with satisfaction, ”Seeing as you won’t fight me, I’ll be kind and only give you eight slaps each.”

”Can’t we just skip it...” The three clutched their hands tightly behind them, not extending them at all.

”If you try to bargain again, I’ll just have to give you ten slaps each instead.”

The three: ”...”

Gong Le ran over, particularly excited, and said, ”A Qi, Ah Lin, A Zhi, quickly stretch out your hands. I want to watch you get your palms smacked. Then I’ll tell my dad and mom, and they’ll be really happy too.”

The three: ”...Lele, we’re getting our palms smacked, and whose fault is that?!”

Gong Le immediately asked, ”Whose fault?” Clearly, she was too pleased about them getting their palms smacked and had completely forgotten it was because of her.

”You!” The three gritted their teeth and spat out the word.
