Peaceful Farm Life

Chapter 1916: Chapter 1917: What’s Wrong with Him...?

Upon hearing Su Yi Jing say she might be pregnant, Feng Feiyan was first delighted, then returned to her normal mood, saying, ”You better not be teasing me, or I’ll be happy for nothing.”

”We’ll see if I’m teasing you once my second brother comes to take your pulse, he wrote last month saying he’d come home for the New Year’s celebration, if I calculate correctly, he should arrive in the next few days.” Today is already December 18th.

Feng Feiyan didn’t want An Jing and the others to be happy for nothing either, so she said, ”At that time, let your second brother secretly take my pulse, don’t tell our parents yet. If I really am pregnant, then we’ll inform them.”

”Alright.” Su Yi Jing had no objections.

...

Two days later, on December 20th, Su Yi Xing brought Huo Qingyi along.

On the night Su Yi Xing arrived, Su Yi Jing brought Feng Feiyan to Su Yi Xing’s room to have him take her pulse.

”Big sister-in-law, what’s wrong?” Su Yi Xing asked immediately.

Feng Feiyan felt a bit embarrassed, but still honestly said, ”I’ve missed my period for several days, and wanted you to check.”

Su Yi Xing understood and didn’t ask further. He smiled, placed the brocade handkerchief on Feng Feiyan’s wrist to start taking her pulse. Once he confirmed it was indeed a pregnancy pulse, Su Yi Xing said, ”Congratulations, big sister-in-law, you are indeed pregnant, it’s about a month along.”

Before Feng Feiyan could express her happiness, she saw Su Yi Jing suddenly rush out, leaving her confused: ”Your big brother, he...” What’s happening?

Su Yi Xing was also a bit stunned by Su Yi Jing’s actions, but then laughed, ”He’s probably too happy and went out to calm down.”

Feng Feiyan finally smiled, feeling a bit shy, but her hand reached towards her still-flat belly.

She was finally pregnant.

Su Yi Jing didn’t go to calm down; instead, he ran directly to his parents’ room, ”Dad, Mom, Qingqing is pregnant!”

”Really?!” An Jing was overjoyed. She quickly put on some clothes, then headed with Xiao Changyi to see Feng Feiyan.

Inside An Jing and Xiao Changyi’s room, there was a large screen that partitioned a small room for An Baobei.

An Baobei would soon be six years old in two months, and a year ago, she had stopped sleeping in the same bed with An Jing and Xiao Changyi. But because she was afraid of the dark, An Jing and Xiao Changyi had partitioned a small room within their own bedroom for An Baobei.

An Baobei was already lying in bed, and upon hearing Su Yi Jing say Feng Feiyan was pregnant, she eagerly said, ”Big brother, big brother, quickly come and dress Baobei, Baobei wants to see big sister-in-law too.”

Su Yi Jing hurried around the screen to help An Baobei, who had climbed out of bed and was standing there, get dressed.

”Big brother, is sister-in-law really having a baby?” An Baobei asked with sparkling eyes as she let Su Yi Jing dress her.

”Yes.”

”Does that mean Baobei will be an aunt?”

”Yes.”

”Baobei is so happy!” An Baobei happily hugged Su Yi Jing’s neck.

Once Su Yi Jing finished dressing An Baobei, he lovingly ruffled her little nose before planning to carry An Baobei to see Feng Feiyan.

But An Baobei wouldn’t let him carry her: ”Big brother, piggyback! Baobei wants a piggyback ride.”

Su Yi Jing couldn’t refuse, hearing that An Baobei wanted a piggyback ride, he turned around, his back facing An Baobei, who immediately climbed on joyfully.

Feng Feiyan had already come out of Su Yi Xing’s room, but hadn’t returned to her own room yet, when she saw An Jing and Xiao Changyi coming towards her.

”Qingqing, you’re already with child, why are you standing outside in the cold? Hurry inside.” An Jing, smiling broadly, supported Feng Feiyan back to the room.
