Chapter 1685: Chapter 1686: Put the Greater Good First

He wouldn’t believe it, that Su Changyi could still fight against an army of a hundred thousand.

Dongfang Tianyang thought so.

”Yes.” The attendant immediately turned around intending to go to the General’s Mansion to deliver the decree, but before leaving the Imperial Study Room, he bumped into the Third Prince Dongfang Tianchong.

Dongfang Tianchong, however, paid no mind to the attendant, pushed him aside, and anxiously asked Dongfang Tianyang, ”Emperor, what do you mean by saying Su Changyi’s head should roll? I seemed to have just heard you mention this.”

As soon as Dongfang Tianyang saw Dongfang Tianchong, he smiled and said, ”Elder brother, you came at the right time. I have good news to share with you. Su Changyi has arrived at the Imperial City of Dongqing and is now at the Come Full Inn. I plan to order General Chen to lead an army of a hundred thousand to kill him.”

Dongfang Tianchong was very surprised, ”He found us this quickly.” Immediately, he said excitedly, ”Emperor, don’t let General Chen lead the troops, let me lead instead. I’ve always particularly wanted to meet Su Changyi again.”

Dongfang Tianyang said seriously, ”Elder brother, I know you’ve always wanted to compete with him again, but now is not the time for you to test your skills against him. It’s crucial to kill him first. The overall situation is important, elder brother! Furthermore, if you cannot defeat him again, he will surely hurt you. Better to send General Chen instead.”

Dongfang Tianchong said, ”Emperor, I know you care for me, and I know to prioritize the overall situation. Rest assured, I will first see if I can fight him. If I can’t win, I will naturally let the army eliminate him immediately, without spoiling your plan.”

Though he said this, in his heart, Dongfang Tianchong thought, after finally meeting Su Changyi, he must have a good fight with him.

This moment, he had been waiting for so long.

Seeing that his elder brother Dongfang Tianchong assured him, Dongfang Tianyang thought that with an army of a hundred thousand going to eliminate Xiao Changyi, his elder brother should not encounter any issues, so he agreed, ”Then elder brother, I will agree to let you lead the troops to kill him, but you must remember, prioritize the overall situation, do not spoil the significant matter.”

”Yes, yes, I remember.” Dongfang Tianchong agreed particularly cheerfully, his hands itching badly, really wanting to immediately fight Su Changyi. ”Then I will go lead the troops to surround the Come Full Inn now.”

”Go ahead.” After pausing for a moment, ”Elder brother, be careful.”

”Emperor, rest assured, this is our territory, nothing will happen to me.” Saying this, Dongfang Tianchong turned and left.

Dongfang Tianyang also instructed the military officer to take some men and keep an eye on the Come Full Inn before the army of a hundred thousand surrounded it.

After that officer left on assignment, only did Dongfang Tianyang sit back on the Dragon Chair, taking a small sip of the tea handed to him respectfully by the eunuch, a smile appearing once again on Dongfang Tianyang’s face without restraint.

”Su Changyi, no matter how skilled you are, you cannot escape the fate of being wiped out by my army of a hundred thousand.”

Dongfang Tianyang took another sip of tea, feeling satisfied, put down the cup, initially wanting to continue reviewing the memorials, but he was too excited about the forthcoming killing of Xiao Changyi and could not focus on the memorials for the time being, thus he simply did not look at them.

After closing the memorials, he stood up and went to the Quiet Heart Garden.

He wanted to tell his beloved An Jing this good news.

At this moment, in the Quiet Heart Garden, An Jing was arranging flowers. Seeing Dongfang Tianyang coming, she did not even bother to look at him.

But Dongfang Tianyang was not angry at all, instead, he happily said, ”Jing Er, I have good news to tell you.”
