Chapter 1669: Chapter 1670: Selfishness, Wanting to Say Yes

”Indeed,” An Jing nodded, ”I am the Queen of Xiyun. Dongfang Tianyang is despicable and shameless, setting a trap to kidnap me here. If my husband knew I was here, he would certainly clash with you all militarily.”

After a pause, An Jing continued, ”I didn’t know you, Third Prince, initially, but my husband mentioned you before, so I just guessed, and unexpectedly, my guess was correct.”

Dongfang Tianchong was still very shocked. He never imagined that the person his Emperor brother had kidnapped was actually Su Changyi’s queen.

At this moment, Dongfang Tianchong also began to understand why his Emperor brother was unwilling to say more earlier. So that’s how it is.

After hesitating for a moment, Dongfang Tianchong still sat at the same table with An Jing.

An Jing rarely poured a cup of tea for Dongfang Tianchong. Although this Dongfang Tianchong was exceedingly ugly, compared to Dongfang Tianyang, she was still more willing to talk to Dongfang Tianchong.

Her husband had mentioned some interesting things about this Dongfang Tianchong, suggesting that Dongfang Tianchong might be an interesting person.

”I dare not, I dare not,” Dongfang Tianchong politely accepted the tea poured by An Jing, maintaining the dignity of a Prince of Dongqing.

An Jing did not speak, continuing to drink her tea nonchalantly.

Dongfang Tianchong was silent for a while, then took a sip of tea before speaking, ”I did not know the Queen was here. I heard that the Emperor conferred a girl of unknown origin as Concubine Intention, whom the Emperor claims is his beloved. So, I came to see what Concubine Intention looked like, to have captured the Emperor’s heart, yet never thought it was actually you, Queen.”

An Jing smiled and asked, ”So now that you know, will you let me go back?”

Dongfang Tianchong was initially stunned, not expecting An Jing to ask such a question. Then, feeling ashamed, he replied, ”You are a married woman, and the Emperor’s act of kidnapping you is somewhat inappropriate, but the mistake is already made, and I cannot let you go back.”

He is a martial arts enthusiast, but that doesn’t mean he’s foolish.

An Jing holds the identity of the Queen of Xiyun; the Queen being kidnapped by the Emperor of Dongqing, coupled with the inevitable war between Xiyun and Dongqing, An Jing cannot be casually released.

An Jing was not surprised by Dongfang Tianchong’s answer. As long as someone is not foolish, they wouldn’t let her go. She only said slowly, ”I heard that you, Prince, are a martial arts enthusiast and have always wanted to spar with my husband again. If I promise that as long as you let me return to my husband, he will spar with you once every year, what do you think?”

Dongfang Tianchong’s eyes lit up instantly, extremely tempted.

Seeing Dongfang Tianchong like this, An Jing felt it was amusing. Truly a martial arts enthusiast, not one bit off.

Dongfang Tianchong was really tempted by An Jing’s proposal. Right now, there was no one in Dongqing who could match him. He really wanted to have a good duel with Xiao Changyi, who had defeated him before. But as a Prince of Dongqing, for Dongqing, for his Emperor brother, he could not agree to this proposal.

Once An Jing was released, Xiao Changyi would definitely lead troops to attack Dongqing immediately.

Right now, Xiao Changyi did not know An Jing was here. They in Dongqing could still be safe, but if Xiao Changyi found out, Dongqing might not remain safe. He had already experienced Xiao Changyi’s prowess.

Xiao Changyi was not only skilled in combat but also a prodigy in commanding troops.

After a lengthy internal struggle, Dongfang Tianchong finally sighed and said, ”Selfishly, I wanted to agree with the Queen, but as Tianchong is a prince of Dongqing and the Emperor’s brother, Tianchong will not do something that betrays Xiyun or the Emperor.”
