Pillar of Yita

After all, this was the only enjoyment they had in this.

However, Soul Fingerprint, having heard their discussion, couldn’t help but frown slightly. She turned back to remind them, ”Gather around, I’ll arrange the tasks ahead. This time, we’re not just here for the competition; we also need to investigate the situation in the South.”

”Lastly,” she paused for a moment before saying, ”although it’s merely an exhibition match, the Colin Ishurian Artisan Association is finalizing the list of participants for the main competition. If you perform well, it’s not impossible for you to be included.”

”Remember, this is a rare opportunity to make a name for yourself.”

Upon hearing this, the crowd finally quieted down.

They were not the top main team of the Guild’s Alchemy Workshop, otherwise, they wouldn’t be participating in such a minor competition. But the exhibition match meant nothing; if they could enter the main tournament of the Alchemy Continental League and reclaim one or two places from Osh.

For a team of their level, it was one of the rare opportunities to showcase themselves.

Especially since they were part of the Ragnarok team, the chances of being chosen by the Colin Ishurian Artisan Association were not insignificant.

Of course, this was just a matter for these young people. As the leader, Soul Fingerprint did not need to stand out in such a minor competition. She had been a professional craftsman in the Guild many years ago, and these juniors naturally had to respectfully address her as Senior Sister when they saw her.

However, being a responsible team leader, she naturally wanted her team to perform better.

She looked at the five young people, intending to say something more, but suddenly someone bumped into her from behind. Since Soul Fingerprint was not in a Combat Profession, the impact almost knocked her to the ground. Fortunately, a hand reached out from the side to steady her.

Thus preventing her from falling.

Soul Fingerprint looked at the person with a bit of annoyance, only to realize it was a somewhat serious-looking middle-aged man. His hair was gray, but he was dignified in appearance—looking into his eyes almost shocked her. They were eyes that seemed to carry the feel of wind and frost, as if bearing too much time and experience.

But in just an instant, the expression in his eyes returned to normal, making her almost suspect she had been mistaken. The middle-aged man had already politely helped her up, apologizing, ”I apologize, miss, this place is too narrow, I didn’t notice you were in front.”

Soul Fingerprint found herself unable to say anything further.

She wasn’t one to be unrelenting when she had the upper hand, and seeing the other party apologize dissipated her anger. Besides, the person was merely a Native; what could she really argue about? Yet Soul Fingerprint couldn’t help but take another glance at this middle-aged man and then realized it was a large cargo, rather than the man, that had bumped into her.

The cargo was about half a person’s length, sixty to seventy centimeters high, tightly nailed with planks, the contents unknown, but seemingly quite heavy. Two mechanical Constructs were moving the wooden box forward, and since the passage was too narrow, they had inadvertently knocked into her.

The cargo seemed odd, but Soul Fingerprint only glanced at it briefly. After all, Fanric was originally an important transshipment port in the Southern Region, so it wasn’t surprising for all sorts of strange goods to arrive there.

It’s just that using an airship to transport goods implied that the cargo was valuable.

Seeing that the Holy Chooser before him, the elderly knight bowed his head in another apology, then had his two antique Constructs carry the cargo toward the freight passage. Meanwhile, Diket inwardly complained a bit about the Southern Region Alchemist Alliance’s stinginess—those old constructs should have been retired long ago.

Though these constructs were mainstream Constructs before he went to Dolifen, having been to Elpaxin, he naturally knew that modern constructs had long been updated and replaced.

He lightly touched the moustache by his lips, thinking to himself that the ideological differences between the Southern Region Alchemist Alliance and the Colin Ishurian Artisan Association seemed to extend beyond mere political issues.

After bidding farewell to the Dwarf Aquitez, he headed straight to the South—others might not know, but he could not be kept in the dark about everything happening on Fenris Isle. After all, having once fought alongside there, he could easily recognize Fang Hong’s identity in the Transmission Crystal.

After obtaining what he wanted from the Artisan Association, he headed south and indeed found Princess Briana in Golande, confirming the information with her and his eldest son. Considering the time, he thought that the youngster should have reached Fanric by now.

Thinking of this, the elderly knight looked back.

He cast a silent glance at the massive wooden box.

The investigation object promised to Fang Hong and the others, although it had taken several months, was not without results. But the information he received was disconcerting; otherwise, he wouldn’t have pressed Aquitez to hand over that item.

This matter had indeed greatly vexed the Old Dwarf—

He lightly patted the box and continued to move forward. Just before entering the freight passage, his attention was drawn to two little girls not far away.

They were tourists.

Diket knew this term—though it was still a novel concept for him; during the Battle of Bain, there was no such term for the Holy Choosers back then. But it’s said that afterward, many such individuals in between the Holy Choosers and non-Holy Choosers began visiting Eteliria.

Before this, he could hardly imagine what such visitors from the intermediate world might be like, though he learned some of this ’common knowledge’ from Aquitez.

However, this was the first time the elderly knight actually saw such individuals—technically not the first since Gita, Luo Yu, and Tianlan also held the status of tourists, and he had already met them.

But Luo Yu and Gita were indeed different from this.

Because the two little girls not far away obviously weren’t dressed in this world’s attire—this was a typical trait of tourists.
