Pillar of Yita

As Anluose handed it to him, Fang Hong finally saw the attributes of this thing.

This startled him; this amulet, which looked like a piece of art, was actually a piece of Legendary Equipment named ’Wall of Anluose.’ When Fang Hong saw the name, he realized it was indeed the work of the person before him. This amulet had no other attributes, with only a simple description:

’The most resilient and fragile of things is none other than will—’

Anluose looked at the amulet and simply said, ”This amulet is a work I casually made in my early years, perfectly suited to the current situation. It can guard your mind, isolating you from mental attacks and control enchantments. I’ve added a suffix to it now to make it easier for you to use.”

Only then did Fang Hong see that the amulet indeed had an additional attribute: ”Requirement Level -20.”

But even so, it still required a level as high as eighteen, which he couldn’t equip yet. This meant that this amulet, with its simple attributes, originally had a requirement level as high as thirty-eight. Giving away a piece of level thirty-eight Legendary Equipment as if it were nothing.

For a moment, Fang Hong couldn’t help feeling a bit dizzy.

However, even though the Equipment Level was high, its applicable range was narrow, as Eteliria naturally had few mind-related abilities. But it suited him perfectly, as those rare mental control abilities mostly belonged to the cultists, and he could finally avoid feeling like there was a draft through his mind—stopping all sorts of strange voices from seeping in.

He put away the amulet and looked back at Anluose.

However, the master of Nevade didn’t seem intent on asking anything else and showed no interest in his grievances with the Dragon Worshippers or Nikopolas, merely glancing at that Artificial Crystal before speaking: ”Since you have mastered Elemental Filtration, you have passed this trial.”

He paused: ”But I don’t have time to teach you the remaining techniques. Perhaps after you leave Fanric, you could go to the Hall of Thousand Doors in Osh, where someone will continue to teach you the knowledge of the Numelin Elves...”

On hearing this, Fang Hong was a bit dazed, catching the implication of the other’s words: ”Mr. Anluose, are you planning to leave this place?”

Anluose nodded, but did not say what he intended to do. Fang Hong sensed that it might be related to those blight objects summoned by the Dragon Worship Sect’s messenger. He remembered Anluose’s furrowed brow while standing by that pit.

However, as he opened his mouth to speak, Anluose interrupted him: ”Your companion left this place a day before you awoke. But before she left, she mentioned some matters regarding the Continental League. The day after tomorrow, a ship will arrive here, and you can take it to Fanric.”

Only then did Fang Hong realize he was referring to Miss Leia.

It turned out that during his coma, she had already left. But thinking about it, it’s not surprising since Leia had been guarding him here for over two months—surely her guild has been anxious due to a key player’s absence for so long.

He just hadn’t had the chance to thank her.

Recalling this, Fang Hong remembered Odin’s situation. Having stayed in the Hall of Thousand Doors for two months, he ought to inform him after coming out. But when he opened the communicator, he found out that the other was in a non-communicable state.

However, an unexpected person sent him a message during his coma.

”Miss Red Leaf?”

Fang Hong was a bit surprised to see the ID. Ever since she supposedly went to Charter City, she had been unreachable. Later, when his Communication Crystal was damaged, he had to re-add her contact in Yugudola, but they never communicated again.

Now, she was available, probably having returned from completing a mission in Charter City, sending him some strange messages:

”Are you there?”

”Ade?”

”It’s Red Leaf!”

”Why are you pretending to be dead!?”

”I’m so angry; wait for me in Fanric!”

Fang Hong felt a cold sweat, almost imagining the indignant expression of this young lady. He then remembered that after entering the Hall of Thousand Doors, he was apparently in a non-communicable state—but since he rarely used the communicator, he even forgot to change the status.

He instinctively wanted to make amends, but she didn’t answer his calls, possibly because she was truly angry or for some other reason.

Fang Hong had no choice but to try contacting others. He first reported safety to Tianlan and Sicape. Miss Sicape didn’t seem to be around, but Tianlan happily replied, even passing on Hilveld’s regards.

Miss Ship’s Officer appeared cheerful in the video, gently reminding the Lord Captain to stay safe and reunite with everyone in Fanric soon. Fang Hong felt his heart soar, as if he was once again surrounded by familiar faces—Miss Atira, Mr. Greyrock, the Catfolk and Parker, Luo Yu and Gita, Mr. Bakins, and Miss Xiesta.

Especially his Ship’s Officer—Miss Hilveld.

Then Hilveld shared some travel stories during this period. Delice was still accompanying them to the south, though Enan’s departure surprised Fang Hong.

He wasn’t too upset; even though he had escorted the person from Dulun, it was to fulfill his promise to Ye Hua. Everyone has their own choices, and it was natural for the person to care for their father.

However, the Southern Region’s calmness over the last four months surprised him; after the turmoil in Dulun, the Southern Region didn’t descend into chaos but rather fell into tranquility.

That’s because Duke Modkaesar, as promised, supported the Southern Region’s situation single-handedly—not only making the nobles pause, but even silencing the Southern Region Alchemist Alliance for a while, casting the entire Southern Region into an eerie peace.

Now, only the New and Old Southern Alliances had some conflicts, and people’s attention gradually turned to the upcoming Continental League in Fanric.
