Pillar of Yita

That is the element.

In Eteliria, elements are like the fundamental particles of their universe, the cornerstone of this world. Everything in this world is built from trillions of elements, which ultimately form their presence in the macroscopic world.

Therefore, it’s reasonable to say that a combination of Starlight and elements constructs the world beyond the Stargate, because they only exhibit such forms in this world.

In fact, scientists from Earth have already discovered that when high-dimensional information—Starlight—is carried out of the Stargate, it reverts to its original form after separating from the Ether that only exists in ’Eteliria’.

Thus, we see the Glow Material and the high-dimensional information hidden within it.

Elemental Affinity is another concept that, strictly speaking, is unrelated to Starlight. It refers to the Elemental Attribute inherent to Ether itself. In fact, among all things including living beings, composed of Starlight with different elemental attributes, some possess Elemental Adaptability.

These are the Element Adaptors.

Generally speaking, these people and objects are more sensitive to similar elements. Those without Elemental Adaptability can only accept the lowest level of Non-Attribute Magic Power.

As he pondered this, he couldn’t help but rub his forehead. This was precisely the problem. ’Elemental Filtration’ requires the learner to perceive a type of attribute—not referring to Attribute Magic Power, but to Attribute Starlight.

Which is the element itself.

If it were just Attribute Magic Power, he might find a way through the Magic Guided Reactor, because those with different Elemental Affinity can use different Elemental Magic Power—converted through the Main Core Crystal. Just like a Water System Elementalist can use some Fire System Magic, although the power and proficiency are far from their expertise in Water System Spells.

Moreover, the Zero-Type and Type-One Crystal left by Hain Famm are fundamentally meant to solve this problem.

But ’Elemental Filtration’ actually requires the learner to use magic to manipulate different elemental substances to achieve the ability to ’create’ with elements, which is the core of Numelin Elf Alchemists who source materials out of thin air—directly utilizing elements to build common materials from the ground up.

Due to the eternal existence of elements, their consumption is merely some Magic Power.

However, if he fails to even sense them, then there’s no talk of ’filtration’. Consequently, his Non-Attribute Magic Power becomes useless. After all, the Main Crystal left by Hain Famm only solved the existence issue, without fundamentally changing his Elemental Affinity.

He had tried various methods before, all ended in failure.

In fact, this was why Miss Tata couldn’t help him—because as a Fairy Dragon Soul, she must also be a Non-Attribute Dragon Soul.

As the two stared at each other, Miss Tata suddenly spoke: ”Perhaps I can think of a way, Mr. Knight.”

”What?” Fang Hong was taken aback.

”Just that this method might be somewhat dangerous.”

”Dangerous?”

”I mean,” Tata whispered: ”Although I don’t possess Elemental Attribute, most Dragon Souls do actually possess an Elemental Attribute.”

Fang Hong scratched his head: ”Sure, I know that, but one, a person without Elemental Affinity can’t sign a contract with an Attribute Dragon Soul, and two, where do we find a Dragon Soul here?” He paused suddenly, looking at his Miss Dragon Soul in surprise.

”Miss Tata, you’re not saying...”

Miss Fairy nodded earnestly.

Only then did Fang Hong understand what the danger referred to. Tata meant for him to actively contact the Dragon Soul still gestating in his spirit world. Though neither knew its attribute, generally speaking, most Dragon Souls undoubtedly possess attributes.

Only Fairy Dragon Souls, tailored for Combat Artisans, seem to be exceptions.

More crucially, this Dragon Soul, due to some serendipitous reason, was meant to sign a contract with him naturally.

However, the danger is naturally unstated: after all, it absorbed the powers of Nikopolas, Toragotos, and the Lizardman Dark Deities, forming something that no one knows what kind of Dragon Soul it will be. It might even be the seed of a Dark Giant Dragon or Lizardman Deity planted in his spirit world.

Once its divinity awakens, he would be in big trouble.

Fang Hong couldn’t help but stand up, pacing back and forth. This method was undoubtedly too dangerous. But as Miss Tata said, it was probably his only way to solve this problem.

But is it worth the risk?

This question didn’t linger long in Fang Hong’s mind.

Because while he hesitated, suddenly a flash of light appeared not far away, and a Light Gate opened there. Then Fang Hong saw the Tower Guard stepping out, Anluose turned back, glancing at him with silver eyes, and asked:

”How is it?”

”Mr. Tower Guard,” Fang Hong was slightly embarrassed: ”Isn’t it yet a month...”

He originally thought it was because his quick learning completion each time led to a habitual reaction, the guard came to find him early. But unexpectedly, this time Anluose merely shook his head calmly and said: ”It’s okay; this time ends here.”

”Ends here?” Fang Hong was surprised: ”But the time hasn’t come yet.”

Although he hadn’t surpassed the ’Elemental Filtration’ threshold, he finally had a hint of a solution. Whether he’ll use it or not wasn’t decided yet, but at least he had hope.

Plus, several skills remained unlearned; why suddenly leave the Hall of Thousand Doors.

Only then did he think of a possibility: ”What happened, Mr. Anluose, did something happen outside?”

To this question, Anluose merely nodded: ”Someone has intruded.”
