Pillar of Yita

On the community site, her fans often say that if she had entered the Hall of Thousand Doors, perhaps she would not be so far off from FOX compared to the King of Grey. Although Nether generously has never expressed her opinion, in her heart, has she never had such a thought.

It is precisely because of this, she does not wish for her life’s regret to reenact once more upon the newcomer she holds in regard.

However, of course, ’Her Majesty the Queen’ would not know that at this moment, not only is there not a hint of tension in Fang Hong’s heart, but there is even a slight excitement.

After all, six months have passed since that event.

Although there are still many debts to settle with the Descendants of Flo— the scars of Morning Dawn Star have gradually healed, especially after reconnecting with Miss Sicape and her group, he finally let go of the last bit of grudge.

And in the dead of night, when Fang Hong once again thinks of this matter, he no longer tosses and turns, unable to sleep.

Just having the chance to once more fight side by side with Morning Dawn Star, even if only within a dream, he is willing.

Moreover, he is no longer the same as he was before.

Fang Hong was just taking the backpack from ’Miss Sicape’s’ hands, glanced beyond the Great Shield, and prepared to rush out. At that moment, history seemed to repeat itself, as if he subconsciously recalled his actions at the time, but looking back, he couldn’t help but sweat a bit for his then bravery.

It is a very magical feeling, like reviewing oneself from another angle; just like in this scene, at the same time, two of him appear, one still naive and fearless, but one already calm and rational.

He stepped out, stepping onto the same footprints as before. Fang Hong couldn’t help but pause, as if he saw interwoven shadows, his past self waiting there, simply handing his backpack back to him:

”This time it’s on you.”

Fang Hong almost thought he misheard his own voice.

But paused, realizing it was a conversation of others.

He suddenly felt a premonition warning flash within, a whistling sound tearing through the air approaching quickly from afar, weak at first but then huge, coming straight at him. Fang Hong instinctively flashed to the side – he was no longer a rookie on the battlefield, hearing this piercing sound he understood:

There’s an ambush by high-level Rangers—

He dodged, a gust of wind swept by, then a loud bang behind him, seeing an Iron Guard retreating step by step with his Great Shield, a crack opened in the shield, an arrow in his chest causing him to fall from the high wall.

”Owl!” Sicape shouted.

Everything seemed vivid.

Fang Hong frowned, staring at the trembling tail feathers.

The arrow tail feathers are snow white with fine down, a Pegasus Feather. Even turned to ash, he recognized this arrow—it’s the arrow of Qin Zhi, the high-level Ranger of Silver Shadow.

But what is this situation, this scene didn’t occur at that time, how did Qin Zhi appear here? This thought flashed in his mind, but he roughly realized this is where the test lies in this scene.

”Be careful, there’s a high-level Ranger!” Kroid gruffly warned.

”It’s someone from Silver Shadow,” Sicape recognized instantly as back then: ”We can’t stay on this wall, everyone must go down and find cover, don’t care about those Gunslingers, move immediately.”

One must admit, the imitation in the dream of the two was uncanny, likely due to Fang Hong’s understanding of them. They were quick to react, not a fraction slower than Fang Hong.

Just as everyone came to the wall edge, suddenly someone spoke in a muffled voice: ”Wait, there’s a problem.” The Iron Guard held his shield, turned to look at others. As did the people of Morning Dawn Star, stopping at the wall edge.

From afar, more firelight, fortunately, at this distance, the Gunslingers weren’t much of a threat.

But at this time, Qin Zhi shot another arrow carrying away a life.

Fang Hong then reacted, immediately pulling Little Elsa over to protect behind— though in the dream, he didn’t want the same scene to reenact—besides, Little Elsa was the only healer in their team. The little girl paused, raised her head with some curiosity looking at him, for she never saw him being so calm in combat.

While Sicape glanced in that direction, asked: ”What’s going on.”

”The backpack,” the person replied: ”The Glider Wing backpack has problems, someone tampered with it.”

While speaking, he unfastened the backpack, threw it to the ground. Fang Hong then saw the magical construct components on the backpack almost scatter with a ’whistle.’ Knowing it’s the ’task’ preset in this scene, but he still couldn’t help but be amazed.

This is nearly falling apart, not just a problem, he wondered how they managed to bring the backpack here all along.

The preset scene behind the door, doesn’t make any logical sense.

But he quickly realized the problem was not just a single backpack, but two-thirds of the people had backpack issues.

”It’s Modis,” someone said: ”That guy was responsible for keeping the backpacks.”

Kroid’s face changed, looking around.

”Has anyone seen him?” Sicape asked sternly.

Everyone shook their heads.

”I saw he didn’t seem to keep up earlier.” Only one person stammered answering.

But Fang Hong listened with amusement, he never heard of anyone named Modis, yet everyone seemed to really go along with the scene, this world behind the door seemed a bit whimsical to him.

But apparently, the world behind the door didn’t like his view, for another arrow pierced through air—

Fang Hong startled, instinctively reached to grab the Clockwork Fairy on his belt, only caught empty air, remembering he couldn’t use flexible construct here.

Luckily, Qin Zhi’s arrow missed.

Seems like this world’s Qin Zhi is far inferior to the real Qin Zhi.

But Sicape glanced at the arrow stuck in the wall, tail feathers still shaking, immediately decided: ”Don’t discuss this, think of other ways to leave this place, here we’re just taking a beating...”

”Give me the backpack.”

Everyone stopped.

Including Kroid and Sicape, people turned surprised eyes towards the young man behind them—Fang Hong.

”Little brat, don’t make trouble, now is not the time for jokes,” Sicape frowned: ”Your backpack has no issue, hurry down, lest we have to worry about you too.” She reached out to grab Fang Hong.

But Fang Hong stepped back, quietly repeated:

”Miss Sicape, trust me.”

”Give me all your backpacks.”

Sicape was stunned, puzzled looking at him: ”What are you planning?”

”I’ll fix them.”

”Fix them, now?”

Fang Hong nodded, answered solemnly: ”Quickly, there’s still time.”

Sicape opened her mouth, about to say something, but Kroid’s gruff voice from behind her: ”Give him the backpacks.”

Sicape turned angrily: ”You’re crazy!?”

”Trust him.”

Kroid threw his backpack over: ”How long do you need?”

”Not long.”

Fang Hong pulled down the Wind Goggles, answering thus.

He thought, if it were a long time ago, to repair so many Glider Wing backpacks in a short time, he really couldn’t do it.

But at this moment, he also is no longer his past self.

He picked up the backpack, gently took a breath—that familiar feeling of repairing equipment on the battlefield, seemed to return to him at this moment.
