Pillar of Yita

However, when Fang Hong arrived here, he probably realized that he might have created a record—he didn’t know where Loofah and the others had gone. But if someone had been here before, Odin’s answer at that time might not have been so ambiguous, but rather given him a definite answer.

The end of the Hall of Thousand Doors is right here.

Fang Hong felt a little regret in his heart for a moment.

Although he stayed longer and longer in the world behind this door, starting from the third level, almost every level made him stay longer—except for the test of the Fairy Master, which was especially managed by Miss Tata for him, this rule was almost never broken.

In the previous level, he was stuck for two months, although it was only two months in this world, the time outside certainly wouldn’t stop—it must have been several weeks.

Fang Hong vaguely estimated that, including the time consumed at the previous six doors, about a month should have passed outside. He thought that Odin and a group of big shots would not wait for him in Nevade for a month. No matter how idle the Invoker, it would be impossible to waste a month arbitrarily in some place.

Not to mention these top Invokers.

Fang Hong thought that these great figures might have left weeks ago.

Since that’s the case, he was not in a hurry to leave anyway, and having come to this place, he naturally wanted to see the scenery behind. Although Fang Hong knew that this last level might be very difficult, even that he might not be able to pass—regardless of whether he was an Invoker or an Alchemist, he ultimately aimed to climb higher peaks.

Otherwise, wouldn’t he be standing still in the shadow of his predecessors?

Even though he knew he was just a beginner, and his experience and knowledge acquisition were far from sufficient to take a further step, he still had to try in order to understand the gap.

The huge gap might make some people feel afraid, or even halt them, but for Fang Hong, it might only become his goal and motivation to move forward.

However, Anluose, after listening to him, turned around and quietly gazed at him with silver eyes.

”Do you want to give up?”

”Not really, but...”

Anluose calmly interrupted him: ”Having arrived at this place, you have passed the test of the Hall of Thousand Doors, because as for the last level, even I haven’t witnessed it myself. It is, after all, merely a product of legend.”

”But after passing the previous level,” he continued: ”Having witnessed the essence of Alchemy, wouldn’t you feel curious about it?”

”Curious?”

Fang Hong was slightly startled.

Indeed, he had that kind of feeling in his heart.

When he forged ’Pride of the Lonely King’, a sudden enlightenment arose within him—this is the path pursued by Alchemists—a creator’s path.

What they created was not something from nothing, but the light of civilization belonging to this era forged by their hands. In generations of Alchemists’ push in Eteliria, today’s path formed. But ultimately, what is creation:

Is it the legendary Magic Guided Conductor in his hand?

Or is it the Magic Guided Reactor and various crystals of the era transformed by Ade and Hain Famm.

What truth are the Alchemists pursuing?

These questions may be too distant for someone like him from the Otherworld, but at the moment ’Pride of the Lonely King’ was forged, he truly felt a sense of fulfillment. This sense of fulfillment surpassed the step-by-step progress he made as a Combat Artisan.

A Combat Artisan might bring glory to the Invoker for the moment.

But the creations left by Alchemists would be remembered by people hundreds of years later.

Anluose didn’t know what Fang Hong was thinking—nor did he intend to know, he simply turned around completely and asked again: ”Have you created other legendary works?”

Fang Hong nodded, if ’Dawn’ counts.

”I guess you didn’t use Legendary Inspiration that time.” Anluose replied.

Fang Hong was slightly stunned. Indeed, when he helped Elisa make the dagger, he didn’t use any Legendary Inspiration—back then, he didn’t even know what Legendary Inspiration was. Seeing his expression, Anluose already knew the answer and further queried:

”So, do you have any other Legendary Inspiration?”

Fang Hong nodded again.

Indeed, he had another inspiration, derived from the fragments of the Dragon Slaying Sword.

”Why did you choose such an inspiration then,” Anluose slightly smiled—Fang Hong was stunned by what he saw, this was probably the only time he witnessed the Elf smile, and regardless of handsome or beautiful, it was enough to mesmerize, ”Let me guess,” he said: ”It was not a spontaneous decision, was it?”

Fang Hong was completely dumbfounded, he didn’t understand how the counterpart guessed it.

The truth was, he chose the inspiration of solitude, not on a whim. It was because he discovered he could not obtain any response from another inspiration.

”Inspiration is also divided into levels,” Anluose finally replied: ”Actually, in the Numelin Era, it was the basic knowledge of craftsmen on how to utilize and acquire inspiration. But later, this knowledge gradually lost its inheritance, do you know why?”

Fang Hong shook his head.

How would he know, Miss Tata also never told him.

And only then did Anluose raise his hand, and beneath Fang Hong’s watchful gaze, a piece of silvery metal appeared in his hand. It was Mithril, Fang Hong recognized it at once—in Eteliria, Alchemists could neither create something from nothing nor turn stones into gold, so this Mithril must have been transported here.
