Pillar of Yita

The two skill plugin sets were chosen by him personally, so he felt somewhat assured. However, the four hundred and seventy points of Block Value on Pride of the Lonely King were completely obtained by sheer luck; perhaps some design configuration or material had an effect.

Nonetheless, four hundred and seventy points of Block Value are relatively high attributes for Reinforced Gloves. Facing attacks from opponents of the same Level, blocking one or two hits is more than sufficient. Additionally, the ’Silver Fire’ gloves given by Queen Nether provide some Block Value, allowing Fang Hong to finally claim that he is no longer as fragile as paper.

Though his self-made Magic Guided Reactor still lacked any Shield attributes, with Block Value at the front and Evasion at the back, he could also be considered a dual-class enthusiast.

In comparison to ordinary Supreme Ones of the same Level, these attributes were entirely reasonable.

Fang Hong carefully examined the Legendary Gloves, nodding satisfactorily afterward.

He then put away the replaced ’Magic Omnidirectional Instrument,’ not intending to casually discard it—after all, it was the gloves given to him by Luo Yu, having accompanied him from Dolifen and Fenris Isle through countless dangers. Although it was now insufficient for use, it at least held commemorative value.

Then Fang Hong lifted his head—theoretically, passing through the faintly glowing Door before him should lead to the path towards the Eternal Courtyard. In the past two months in this world, he had walked this path countless times and considered himself already familiar with the place.

But this time, after passing through the Light Gate, he found himself not in the imagined place of rest.

Beyond the Door, there was emptiness.

The emptiness here was not like the previously vast hall nor an empty plaza, but instead an endless white world.

Fang Hong looked around somewhat bewildered, seeing nothing but the white Horizon extending to the edge of Vision in all directions. Beyond the Door, there was nothing; even the monotonous, neutral prompt tone did not sound again.

The room contained only one person, waiting ahead—the Tower Guard.

Anluose stood alone at the center of this white wilderness.

Fang Hong was slightly stunned, unable to resist turning back for a glance. He remembered that the Tower Guard had been following him, but somehow now stood ahead. Upon turning back, he saw the glowing Door had gradually closed behind him, eventually fading into invisibility.

Behind him lay the same scene, an endless white field.

Fang Hong refocused his attention ahead, but no matter the view behind the Door, it hardly surprised him. He only wondered if this was the eighth trial, and what it would test.

From the basics to the four major branches of Combat Artisan, from Fairy Master to Calculative Power testing, and even to Magic Guided Conductor creation, the essence of the Alchemist, he couldn’t fathom what the eighth trial would entail.

Fang Hong waited for quite a while, aside from the Tower Guard quietly gazing at the same white space.

No further prompts—

Then Fang Hong looked around, finally speaking up:

”Tower Guard, sir, what is this?”

”This should have been the final trial in the Hall of Thousand Doors.”

”Should have been?”

”Due to damage to the heart of the Divine Artifact, it has become like this.”

”The heart of the Divine Artifact?”

”As you see, the Hall of Thousand Doors is the effect of a Divine Artifact,” the Tower Guard said calmly while looking at the place, ”It is here, everything you perceive is part of it, it is one of the masterpieces of the Numelin Elves, the result of their exploration into the secrets of time and space—”

Fang Hong wasn’t surprised by this answer.

He looked up at the vast space—actually, he had a suspicion long before where the Hall of Thousand Doors lay outside. Time and space belong to the Domain of Deities, and besides Deities, only a Divine Artifact could create such effects.

”I guess,” Fang Hong replied, ”it’s not the only one here, right?”

He had long wanted to ask this question; the Hall of Thousand Doors couldn’t exist solely for Colin Ishurian. It was incredibly important to Alchemists, and countries would undoubtedly fight fiercely for an entrance.

While not many Alchemists could enter the Gateway in the domestic zone, not necessarily finding a suitable one in a year, it’s a different story on the world stage, with Europe and America’s traditional powerhouses.

Especially the profession of Combat Artisans, which is particularly popular in the American Competition Zone; the rise of King of Grey FOX was no accident.

Nonetheless, he had never heard of any competition OR rivalry involving access to the Hall of Thousand Doors between Guilds. This could only imply that the contest here wasn’t as intense as imagined.

The Tower Guard listened to his question and merely nodded gently. ”This Divine Artifact of time and space connects various Trial Towers throughout this world... The Winter Solstice Tower in Osh, the Tower of Autumn Dusk in Rotao, the Dawn Tower in Giant Tree Hill, and here, being the Summer’s End Tower.”

He looked at Fang Hong: ”Every tower has a Tower Guard, and I am the Tower Guard here.”

Fang Hong gazed at this white wilderness, silent for a long while.

Then he asked: ”So is this trial finished, Tower Guard?”

The fact that the Hall of Thousand Doors had only over eight hundred doors didn’t surprise Fang Hong too much. As Odin had mentioned to him, the Thousand Doors were only a virtual count; how many doors were behind it, nobody truly knew.
