Pillar of Yita

And Fang Hong still expounded on his thoughts, ”Miss Hilveld’s point is valid too, it looks like our plan needs some changes.”

The reason for the change of plan was naturally because of this potential undercurrent. If they continued to delve deeper through the Adventurers’ Guild, they’d likely enter the other party’s vision sooner than expected.

Fortunately, as he said, in losing one opportunity, they could gain another. While the other party was erasing ’traces,’ they also exposed another clue—the undercurrent left in the Adventurers’ Guild.

Starting from investigating this ’undercurrent,’ they no longer needed to rely on the Adventurers’ Guild since the information about the senior officials of the Adventurers’ Guild was publicly known.

Moreover, not every official had the authority to manipulate or erase records.

Excluding these people significantly narrowed the circle.

Of those remaining, not every person was in Golande during the time the records were accessed, or had the opportunity; eliminating these individuals further reduced the number.

By repeatedly applying the process of elimination, they could concentrate suspicion on just a few individuals. There might be mistakes, but they could start over. At least the remaining people would not be as overwhelming to investigate.

Thus, the plan became feasible.

In fact, even if the ’undercurrent’ had already vanished and mysteriously disappeared, Fang Hong wasn’t particularly worried.

Because ’clues’ are often hard to eliminate. Those methods that erase ’clues’ would ultimately become a new ’clue.’ As long as one is determined, they will eventually find the ultimate answer.

This was something ’R’ had once told him, to teach him how to analyze the mission line of Eteliria’s information world. He had also applied the same approach to analyzing a series of events in Dolifen and Fenris Isle—

It’s just that Fang Hong felt, at this moment, that this statement could also generate effects in a wider field.

He spoke eloquently and cleared his own mind, while Luo Yu, Tianlan, and the others listening to him arrange the tasks also felt as if their thought process was becoming clearer, and after gaining confidence, they even started raising some questions.

And refining the plan.

Only Atira, unusually, did not join them. The elf girl silently watched everyone involved in the discussion; it seemed like everyone in this small team inevitably took her matters to heart as their own.

Even Xiangzi couldn’t help but interject a few words, although what he said was nothing nutritive beyond uttering that those behind the scenes were doomed and that they must seek justice for Miss Atira.

But the small forces among people coming together seemed to be forming a gentle stream that one day would grow into a force that could change everything.

This filled the elf girl’s heart with an indescribable emotion, one that contained a power she had never felt before in the Holy Tree Forest of Ameya.

She thought, this might just be the ’friendship’ the Goddess had told her about more than once. Elves and other short-lived races rarely become true friends, as their lifespans, though not as long as a Giant Dragon’s, were on a scale unattainable to humans.

She had lived through one hundred and sixty-seven years, which for an elf was just reaching adulthood, but for Colin Ishurian, and most among the Invokers, it was nearly two lifetimes.

And the era she was born in did not even have its first Invoker—

It was because of life’s length that emotions could seem deep and profoundly heart-touching, since she had always been taking care of everyone in the team, yet also cautiously maintaining her distance from others.

Until after that young man appeared.

With a face so similar to her brother, she immediately lost her usual composure. From thence, she became increasingly closely connected with everyone in this small team, too difficult to change—

This point, whether she admitted it or not.

Atira sighed softly, at least at the moment, her heart felt content and full of longing for the beauty of life.

However, it seemed someone behind her spoke, ”Miss Atira, what are you thinking about?”

The elf girl turned around, just in time to meet Hilveld’s gaze.

Miss Ship’s Officer also looked at the young men among the group, Xiesta stood silently behind her, but unusually, her gaze was clear, yet seemed to be tinged with some memories, ”Does it feel somewhat special?”

Atira just looked at her.

Without turning her head, Hilveld said, ”People say my father was a natural leader, a Great Explorer, but in everyday life, he was quite careless, no different from ordinary people.”

”However, at crucial moments, in the face of those Void Storms that would make mortals pale, he always stood up and gave people confidence. Perhaps this is why the sailors so believed in and loved him.”

”Bakins told me, my father was a great Captain—”

She looked at Fang Hong, with a double meaning, ”I believe such a person would not easily fall, he must still be somewhere in the second world, he might even have reached the New World.”
