Pillar of Yita

She was even more petite in person than seen in the video, especially since the merchant who was also a Swordsman Miss had a Great Sword trailing behind her that was taller than her, which made her seem even more like a little girl.

She was also shorter than Fang Hong, and when she saw Fang Hong, she generously extended her hand, ”I’m sorry, I used a little trick during the trade, Mr. Ade must be quite bothered, right?”

Fang Hong hadn’t expected her to say that and was taken aback. He looked back at the others, but the three ”wise” ladies showed no reaction.

He had no choice but to turn back and, somewhat reluctantly, nodded his head.

But Miss Yugudola seemed to read his mind and said with a smile, ”Actually, I didn’t mean to deceive Mr. Ade intentionally. It was merely to meet some of the Lord Goddess’s quarterly task targets—”

She smiled apologetically, brushed a golden lock from her ear, and showed an extremely troubled expression: ”The Lord Goddess is very capricious, and we, as Elect, really have no choice. Moreover, Red Leaf holds Mr. Ade in high regard. I also happened to have learned a bit about Mr. Ade’s abilities, hence I resorted to such a plan.”

Listening to her, Fang Hong’s heart skipped a beat. This ’Lady Grey’ specifically mentioned that she knew about his abilities, what did she mean by that?

But as he looked at her, he saw Miss Yugudola wink at him, a gesture that said, ”you know that I know.” Fang Hong realized at once that she had guessed the relationship between him and Xiaya.

But he didn’t know whether it was Red Leaf who had leaked the information about him or if she had guessed it all by herself. Yet just this alone was enough to make him wary.

”Miss Yugudola...” he involuntarily started to ask.

But she shook her head, ”It has nothing to do with Red Leaf. I guessed it myself. After all, you used that identity at Traveler’s Rest. Strangely enough, this news is known by very few, and I only understood it after investigating at the Traveler’s Rest myself.”

She even chuckled lightly, ”But I haven’t told anyone, not even others in the Guild. So, Mr. Ade, you should not be mad at me now, right?”

Fang Hong gave a wry smile. It wasn’t so easy not to be angry, and of course, he understood that she said this also to win him over. But he shook his head and replied, ”Miss Yugudola, I understand your point—but I only wish there could be more honesty between us. After all, I have fought alongside the Tabopolis Knights Order. Miss Yugudola, there really is no need for these maneuvers.”

He continued, ”As you said, Gita and Luo Yu also originated from Tabopolis. Whether or not they retain their Tabopolis identities in the future, it’s impossible for them to completely disregard the Guild of their origins. Miss Yugudola, you must understand this, right?”

Miss Yugudola nodded lightly.

But she frowned, secretly not believing the young man’s words. The news from Red Leaf suggested that the young man was deeply mistrustful of the Grand Guild. She wouldn’t have thought of a plan if she believed she could keep him without one.

Ever since she learned that he and the brilliant young prodigy from Fenris Isle were the same person, she had decided, no matter what the higher-ups in the Guild thought, she must find a way to connect him with Tabopolis.

And in fact, Zi Feiyu had stated that the Guild’s senior management had already decided on Luo Yu and Gita’s whereabouts, but it was not that simple. Until today, they had not even been aware of this matter. Even if the news had reached them this quickly, the senior management wouldn’t have been able to make an immediate decision.

This was actually her instructing him to respond this way, solely to make Fang Hong let down his guard.

However, her actions of committing first and reporting afterward, including allowing two core trainees of the Guild to join another team, were finalized in the fashion of the Goddess’s contract and were not to change under any circumstance.

Yet, once she returned, she would inevitably have to report to the senior management. She might even face penalties, and just thinking about possibly being fined made Miss Yugudola frown deeply.

”Ah, who asks me to be devoted to the Guild?”

The ’little girl’ on the outside sighed in exasperation and helplessly spread her hands.

Yet the negotiations between Tabopolis and Fang Hong’s Adventure Group thus came to a pause. After exchanging the documents, they formally bade each other farewell. Miss Yugudola wasn’t one to drag things out; she first secured the identity privileges of a Chosen for Gita and Luo Yu, and assured she would resolve the issue with the Starlight Equipment materials within a week.

Fang Hong wasn’t worried about this aspect, after all, the contract was guaranteed by the Goddess—and with the privileges unlocked, Gita and Luo Yu had already shed their Tourist status. This process involved unlocking the cap on their Level and War Profession restrictions.

The preparations for the Starlight Equipment were actually about resynchronizing with the Glow Material, which was to erase their data records from the Tourist period. This was represented in the system as both deletion and reassignment of all experiences from the first five Levels.

This experience wasn’t obtained from thin air, nor was it converted from the original Levels, but involved Stargate Port recalling all information from the first five Levels and providing new information to complete these Levels’ experiences.
