Pillar of Yita

Although its price was comparable to that of the Clockwork Fairy Type II, if it could be recovered after a battle, it was actually acceptable.

As for the ’Engineering Machine,’ it was essentially a larger version of the Clockwork Fairy. Its appearance and control methods were similar, but it was a size larger than the regular Clockwork Fairy, and its flight level had decreased from the highest ’Perfect’ to ’Agility.’

The ’Engineering Machine’ was the ’Healer’ among Flexible Constructs; naturally, it could only be used to repair other flexible constructs, slowly restoring their durability rating. Since the repair distance could exceed sixty feet without the need for physical contact, Invokers often referred to it as ’Remote Repair.’

This device was actually a type of construct similar to the Fairy Master, with extremely high calculative power usage. The basic model had a rating as high as 150. However, due to its significant effects and after some components were added, it could even be used to remotely accelerate magic charging for other Flexible Constructs or the Invoker’s Main Crystal—thus, it was one of the Flexible Constructs essential to Combat Artisans after reaching a certain level.

For other Invokers, this level generally ranged from 17 to 20, but Fang Hong, relying on his abnormal calculative power and sufficient cognitive experience, simply chose to obtain it earlier.

Beyond these three special types of constructs, he also inquired if the office had ’Shadow Blade’ and ’Military Governor’ constructs, which were also special but rarer.

As expected, the blueprints for both rare types were missing, a chronic problem of the Artisan Association. Some uncommon flexible constructs and their components and schematics were always behind in restocking, with some even being replenished only once every few years.

Colin Ishurian Artisan Association managed to rise above the Commerce Alliance in the Cloud Sea Region and counterbalance it with good reason.

However, there really wasn’t much to complain about since, within the Guild, these schematics were almost free for members. The Commerce Alliance’s products were good, but you get what you pay for. As for the choice between the two, it depended on the individual.

The reason Fang Hong chose to acquire so many special types of construct blueprints was actually because his direct combat ability was already satisfactory.

With the ’Energy Angel’ and ’Fire Giant’ at his disposal, he could easily transition through the levels from 15 to 20. Since there were many subordinate chapters of Silver Weslan and the ’Energy Angel’ was not uncommon in the first world, he could use it with confidence without worrying about attracting too much attention.

As for the ’Fire Giant,’ it indeed needed to be kept hidden and used only at critical moments, or else it had to change its form. Fortunately, he also had a higher-level Fearless One pending a trade with Princess Sophie—an unclaimed variant ’Elven Twin Stars.’

If he could acquire that, then the temporary absence of the ’Fire Giant’ would be acceptable.

With his combat ability sufficient, Fang Hong naturally needed to supplement his control and recovery, as well as some survival methods—especially since he was at a lower level and might face stronger opponents from the Descendants of Flor at any time; survival capabilities became particularly important.

His plan was to maximize survival abilities first. The ’Shadow Blade’ and ’Military Governor’ he chose were actually designed for this purpose. Since these two schematics were not available here, Fang Hong naturally had to turn to the Commerce Alliance next to see if the various alchemy shops distributed in the Port Area had them for sale.

He was also missing a ranged output type of Flexible Construct. However, Fang Hong had not yet found a product he was satisfied with at his level, and his attempt with the Walker Type II ’Fortress’ had failed, so he planned to wait and see.

Besides the schematics for Flexible Constructs, Fang Hong’s second task was naturally to replace the Magic Guided Reactor.

Higher-level Flexible Constructs required the support of a stronger Main Crystal. Although he had already completed the Type-One Crystal beta phase—what he and Miss Tata referred to as the Holy Crystal—his original Emerald Bird αAE Type Magic Guided Reactor no longer had enough output power to support such a powerful crystal.

This time, however, Fang Hong didn’t plan to purchase a ready-made Magical Engine directly. He intended to build one himself, which was also due to his own unique reason of having enormous calculative power, requiring the Magical Engine to have strong magic power output to support his vast army of constructs.

As a result, his options were essentially limited to those special models, which were either hard to obtain or expensive.

The Emerald Bird αAE Magic Guided Reactor was actually a special type, but since it was a lower level, it was affordable for Atira’s team. But at higher levels, fifteen or twenty, the prices of those special varieties of Magical Engines were beyond Fang Hong’s imagination.

Although the team had some money now, he hadn’t forgotten that they needed to build their own ship. Considering this fact, their team’s financial condition was still worrying.

There were many types of craftsmen, and most Combat Artisans did not produce their own Magic Guided Reactors, with one exception. That would be the Crystal Craftsman, whose specialty was the design and manufacture of Magic Guided Reactors.

If Fang Hong wanted to become a Shipbuilder, he also needed to deal with the core components of the Floating Airship: the lift engine and the Magical Engine, which are essentially large types of Magical Reactors. Thus, a Shipbuilder must also be a professional Crystal Craftsman, and he had naturally established his path as an Artisan Master on this premise.
