Pillar of Yita

However, the ”Emerald Bird Workshop” in Colin Ishurian was indeed long-famed; Fang Hong’s ”Emerald Bird αAE” Magic Guided Reactor, although insufficient for his increased level, had not malfunctioned once in two months, and its quality was widely acclaimed.

The airbags produced by the ”Emerald Bird Workshop” were priced about ten percent higher than similar products, but quality was more important after all. If both sets of airbags failed during the journey, they had no choice but to abandon the platform.

The loss in such a case would obviously far exceed the cost of two sets of airbags.

Of course, as ship equipment, airbags were naturally not cheap. The main cost of the airbag was the Guy Gas generation device, along with the shield generator that protected the airbags. The smallest set cost over fifty thousand Lycel, and a set of four could total up to two hundred thousand Lycel.

If not for the gains from the trip to Fenris Isle, their small adventure group would have had to bankrupt themselves to afford these two sets of floating airbags.

Although expensive, these items were worth the price. Each set of four airbags could generate a lifting force roughly equivalent to forty thousand units of buoyancy, about three times the carrying capacity of Mr. Greyrock—although it would not make Mr. Greyrock fly, it was more than enough to lift the platform.

And although airbags were fragile, this was mainly in the context of sea battles facing cannons, magic-guided crossbows, and Dragon Knight rigging among other heavy weapons—since the airbags themselves were also protected by shields, at their combat level, they were actually much sturdier than the platform itself.

After all, before fortification, the platform was just a somewhat protected wooden frame.

As Elisa listened to the performance data of these ship-use equipment and Fang Hong and Hilveld’s ideas for platform modification, she found herself surprised beyond measure.

Having the talent to join the Rain Listener’s adventure group, she and her sister, a pair of fairly attractive twins, naturally held inherent commercial value to the Grand Guild.

The Jiefulite Red Cloak Team had previously extended an olive branch to her and Alice. At that time, when everyone’s future was uncertain, she had considered this pathway for herself and her sister—after all, the Jiefulite Red Cloak Team was far more famous than both the Rain Listeners and the Blood Oath Alliance.

But in the end, she chose to join this small team.

Partly to repay Fang Hong for saving Alice’s life, and partly because she saw potential in this young man’s future.

But as for how good the conditions of this small team could be? She hadn’t thought much about it and was even prepared for a tough struggle, but only after she truly joined did she realize that things were not as she had imagined.

What average adventure group could have this setup?

What average person could have Fang Hong’s fortuitous coincidence to obtain such a large sum of money at this level? Whether it was beasts of burden, platforms, or large equipment for modification, these were things ordinary people at this stage could only dream of.

In Elisa’s view, even the Rain Listeners, putting all their effort in, couldn’t afford such a luxurious adventure team.

After all, the guild still had to consider the expenses of ordinary members—

The expensive scale of these large ”possessions” had in fact far exceeded the affordability of a few people; based on Elisa’s understanding, with this team’s setup—it would at least have to be the configuration of a top-tier second-level team from a first-world guild.

Whether it was the potential of the personnel or the richness of the equipment.

She calculated briefly in her mind and realized that joining this team at this time, she had not only made a profit, but had made a huge one. Assuming they wouldn’t encounter too many troubles later, this team would surely grow into a towering tree.

Even entering the second world was not impossible.

And the latter was something she once dared not even think about.

The others were already accustomed to this, perhaps when Fang Hong had just joined the team, whether it was Tianlan, Luo Yu, or Gita, even the Papalarians were somewhat excited about the changes in the team’s funds and equipment condition.

But over time, they too had gotten used to it.

As for Xiangzi, this guy seemed to be carefree.

While everyone was discussing future plans, Xiangzi had advanced a few levels but had not yet reached the second tier; he was still learning some Magic Guided Conductor and Roaming Swordsman skills. Fang Hong couldn’t give him much advice on this path and just let him develop freely.

Parker had obtained a title called ”Sniper,” which was not one of the two common ”advanced” paths for Crossbow Shooters—Dragon Hunter and Artillerist. Fang Hong guessed this was related to his investment in Nightingale, though for a ranged role, having certain concealment abilities was very advantageous, but usually that was the direction of Rangers, not of Crossbows.

However, in a team with excellent scouting capabilities, Fang Hong felt that Parker’s developmental direction might be very suitable for their team’s style, so he suggested that the Papalarians simply strengthen this direction further in the future.

Parker strongly agreed, stating how his choice was ”genius” and his decision was ”long-planned,” although everyone else doubted whether he had made any related career plans before this.

Seeing Xiangzi also integrate well into the team, Elisa felt a bit envious and couldn’t help but gather the courage to share her own plans with the others. Naturally, she was different from Parker; she and her sister had long agreed on their career directions—Nightingale and Shadow Dance.
