Pillar of Yita

The entire process was as Yugudola had said, the fees were very expensive. After all, high-dimensional information was the primary hard currency of various countries at the Stargate Port in the era after the Stargate.

However, once the permissions were unlocked, the levels could continue to be upgraded. Moreover, Yugudola also provided a very decent Magic Guided Wand and a letter of recommendation for further studies to Luo Yu, which was from the Golande Elementalist Association. The recipient of the letter was the vice president of the Elementalist Association, which could be considered a top-tier entry item.

Just as Elementists and Alchemists, like Fang Hong was to Kapuka and Rodell’s apprentice, are naturally stamped with the mark of the Lorindale School.

If Luo Yu joined through this recommendation letter, he would be an apprentice in the Precise School of the first elementalist school of Colin-Ishurian — and he might even receive guidance from the vice president and learn some exclusive skills.

This was a privilege not even Fang Hong had enjoyed. Generally, only the geniuses specially nurtured by the Grand Guild received such treatment.

However, Fang Hong found it strange; he originally thought that Luo Yu and Gita were merely two of the many trainees competing for the position of Official Summoner in Tabopolis, but now, seeing the thorough preparations of the other party, it seemed not to be the case.

Yugudola also assured them that Gita’s Magic Guided Book would be delivered soon.

Fang Hong was curious and asked if they would also provide a Magic Guided Book to Gita. Upon hearing this, Zi Feiyu, who was nearby, couldn’t help rolling his eyes and answered, ”Who else?”

Only this sentence made Fang Hong alert.

He faintly felt that what he had taken was not just apprentices from Tabopolis as simple as he imagined—because if Gita was merely one of the many competitors for the Magic Guided Book.

Then, following this transaction, the proper reaction from Tabopolis seemed to be to leave the Magic Guided Book to someone else.

Yugudola cheerfully told him when leaving, ”Luo Yu is indeed regarded as a promising successor by Zi Feiyu; this time you really pulled teeth from a tiger’s mouth. Train him well; that young fellow has a bright future.”

Fang Hong was slightly startled and couldn’t help looking at Luo Yu; no wonder the latter seemed somewhat uneasy in front of Zi Feiyu. There was this layer of relationship.

The magician from the Steel Council was very cold toward him; he had thought it was because he had abducted the other’s sister, but it turned out the problem was with Luo Yu.

The latter seemed to overhear the conversation and embarrassingly averted his gaze.

Fang Hong couldn’t help but shake his head.

After the people from Tabopolis had left, he finally got the chance to question Atira and others about the mysterious employer—before, he had vaguely heard from Tianlan, it seemed that unexpectedly some clues had been found here in the Adventurers’ Guild.

However, previously being busy with Luo Yu and Gita, he had not had time to ask in detail. Now, he just remembered this matter again.

Upon his inquiry, Tianlan also remembered this situation and promptly responded, ”That was found by Sister Xiesta; she’s really incredible, suggesting we check the information about the next task left by Miss Hilveld—”

”Brother Ade, you know that the Adventurers’ Guild records general information for each team’s tasks. After her first adventure, Miss Hilveld and others agreed to launch the next action in about half a year, and at that time, most people also accepted this proposal.”

Upon hearing this, Fang Hong understood that since an agreement was reached, the information must have been recorded at the Adventurers’ Guild—he looked at Miss Atira: ”So there’s a record, right?”

The Elf Girl nodded: ”The Adventurers’ Guild monitors the fulfillment condition of the adventurers’ commitments to their employers, so when someone seeks these people for a new task, they must specify the task’s start and end time—to prevent any breach of contract.”

”But if that person wants to hide their identity, they could completely bypass the Adventurers’ Guild and find these people directly, couldn’t they?” Xiangzi, overhearing, rarely asked with some confusion.

”They can’t bypass it,” Fang Hong understood the reasoning: ”Heading to the depths of Traveler’s Swamp is not a simple task. Wouldn’t it appear suspicious if they bypassed the Adventurers’ Guild? The Guild certainly protects the employers, but isn’t it also safeguarding the legitimate rights of the adventurers?”

”Yes, so if that person proposes this, Miss Atira’s brother would mostly not agree, and others likewise.” Tianlan continued: ”So conversely, because of Miss Hilveld’s agreement, the other party would definitely leave traces at the Adventurers’ Guild.”

Fang Hong looked at his Ship’s Officer Miss.

She always seemed to be this meticulous and cautious, and had it not been for this seemingly redundant agreement initially, their investigation into that mysterious employer would absolutely be in fog now.

Though Tianlan said it was Xiesta’s suggestion, he knew it must have been at Hilveld’s behest.

Indeed, Xiesta directly replied that it was indeed the young lady’s instruction—

The others looked toward the Lady Noble, but Hilveld just smiled gently at them without taking any credit.

”Then who is this person?” Fang Hong finally asked.

But the others shook their heads this time.

”The clue is broken,” Tianlan sighed: ”The staff said there are records of that task, but the records are currently not at the Adventurers’ Guild.”

”What?” Fang Hong was shocked upon hearing this.
