Pillar of Yita

Sir Roban, now approaching middle age as a human, watched time leave not a single mark on the Elf Princess. Their reunion must have been filled with stories—Fang Hong was very curious about the gossip among the heroes of the Battle of Bain, but unfortunately, Princess Briana was not planning on including him.

On the other hand, Atira, Luo Yu, and Reed were tasked with leading Mr. Greyrock to the beast pens within the fortress and finding a suitable inn nearby, while Tianlan and Gita, having nothing else to do, decided to go shopping together.

Meanwhile, Fang Hong had arranged to meet with Xiangzi and Parker to learn skills separately and then gather at the Adventurers’ Guild.

”Then I’ll go with Miss Atira to order an airbag first, Captain.” Elisa descended from the ship, giving Fang Hong a slight bow—a gesture of etiquette from an Eteliria member to their leader, during their time at the ’Seagull of the Dew Sea’, everyone had eventually agreed to let this elder twin sister join their small group.

Atira’s intention was simple, Elisa’s tailoring skill was not high, merely a level or two just for the sake of complementing the Shadow Dancer class, but it was enough for patching up airbags for the time being.

The team would eventually need a dedicated Nightingale, and her arrival was more about filling the gap created by Parker switching to the role of Crossbow Shooter, a win-win situation, so Fang Hong had nothing much to say.

He only asked about her sister; he thought Elisa would go to Sidewind Port to wait for the results of Alice’s investigation, but the elder twin sister mentioned that it would take at least another three or four months. She had stayed mainly to repay a favor as he had saved her and Alice’s lives before.

For this reason, she even insisted on not receiving a personal salary, Fang Hong could not persuade her otherwise, so he had to accept this fact, but subconsciously, he had already considered her as a core member. Thus, whether there was a salary or not didn’t make much of a difference.

Regarding Elisa’s purpose, Fang Hong just nodded. The elder twin sister was not low in level. Being chosen by the Rain Listener to lead the Storm into the Dragon’s Trial proved she was at least Level 15.

According to her own words, although she had withdrawn from the mission midway, the experience gained earlier was enough to bring her up to Level 16, temporarily making her the fourth strongest in combat ability in the team. She only lacked some practical combat experience compared to Mr. Bakins, who was a native and had fallen from a higher level.

”Be careful on the way.”

Atira still admonished the three, Tianlan and Gita were trainees, and nothing much could happen in Golande, but she was most worried about Fang Hong, Parker, and Xiangzi, although Fang Hong always felt it would be more prudent to say these words to Xiangzi and Parker.

But in the eyes of others, he was a troublemaker, from the Traveler’s Rest to Elpaxin, then from Dolifen to here, this journey of just a month or two had been more prolonged than others’ half a year of travel.

The credit for more than half of this goes to the newly promoted ’Lord Captain.’

Unaware, Fang Hong, and Atira frowned at him: ”Ade—”

”Huh?”

”Mind less of others’ business, this is Colin Ishurian’s Royal Capital, and since Miss Hilveld is with you, you must promise me to ensure her safety—I promised Princess Briana.”

Fang Hong scratched his head, feeling a bit embarrassed as he glanced at Miss Hilveld beside him.

Miss Ship’s Officer stood by, only offering a slight smile. She had now changed into a different outfit, dyed her hair silver, and donned a black veil, completely altering her demeanor from before, almost to the point where Fang Hong barely recognized her.

But standing there looking charming with a lady’s handbag, she did indeed look like a touring Noble Lady, only that her deliberately poised and serene demeanor made Fang Hong felt a premonition of unease.

”I guess... I’ll take good care of Miss Hilveld, right...?” Fang Hong answered Atira’s concern with some lack of confidence.

It’s not that he was unwilling, but even he didn’t quite believe his own words, considering Miss Hilveld’s thorough nature, it was still uncertain who would take care of whom.

Nonetheless, Hilveld simply smiled and did not respond.

Atira sighed, but knowing that Fang Hong meant what he said, as long as nothing unexpected happened, there shouldn’t be any serious issues. Then she grabbed Parker—no, Lady Papamo, and Xiangzi by the ears, giving them a good admonition to ensure they wouldn’t vanish, possibly ending up as guests in Golande’s ’Thorn Prison’.

After everyone said their goodbyes, they each set off on their paths.

To investigate Kid’s matter, Hilveld naturally went with Fang Hong, leaving Bakins behind to help Atira look after their ’belongings’, for, as Sir Mawei’s former right-hand man, he also had substantial goals.

Only Miss Xiesta, serving as a maid, followed closely behind the two—though the Miss Maid kept a stern face, presenting a standoffish demeanor.

Fang Hong glanced back and couldn’t help but shiver: ”Should we ask Miss Xiesta to relax a bit?”

”Did you hear that, Xiesta, you should relax a bit,” Hilveld smoothly responded, turning back to instruct.

The maid rolled her eyes.

Only then did Hilveld smile and say, ”No help for it, she’s just used to it. It’s said she’s been like this since she was little.”
