Pillar of Yita

The Nightingale is actually the second-tier title for the first-tier profession of Night Thieves, but people usually don’t like to use the latter, disagreeable title. The second-tier Nightingales and Shadow Dancers are the two main streams of differentiation among Night Thieves—those skilled in scouting with keen perception are ’Nightingales,’ while those adept in infiltration, nearly imperceptible, are ’Shadow Dancers.’

One tends towards reconnaissance while the other towards combat. Working together, they are virtually adaptable to any environment under all conditions. The way Lonely White Field planned the development directions for the pair was clearly with the future of the brigade in mind.

However, at this moment, it proved to be advantageous for Fang Hong’s team.

Now that Elisa had joined their little team, according to her, if she could remain in Eteliria after her sister’s matter was resolved, she might also join their team.

But Fang Hong’s thinking, after all, differed from that of Lonely White Field. He suggested that Elisa should enhance her own mobility, since their team already had him to assist in scouting methods; there was no need to place all the pressure on the twin sisters.

With their increased mobility, they could concentrate their tactics on harassing the enemy’s rear ranks.

While several people discussed their respective professions, Tianlan unusually had no comment on the side. Fang Hong, seeing this, naturally understood why, but he did not speak up; his mind harbored its own ideas.

It was only then that he suddenly remembered—aside from Reed and Bakins who were left behind, he hadn’t seen Gita or Luo Yu—although the latter stayed to maintain the platform, it should not have taken too much time.

Thinking of this, he couldn’t help but ask, ”Tianlan, wasn’t Gita with you, and where is Luo Yu?”

Tianlan shrugged and pointed in a direction. Fang Hong was startled, then turned around, just in time to see Luo Yu and Gita walking toward them from the other side of the differential engine, accompanied by a young man.

When Fang Hong got a clear look at the young man’s face, he was surprised to find he recognized him—

It was the Magus from the Council of Steel whom he had a brief encounter with at the Angina Temple not long ago.

The other man seemed to have noticed him too, nodding at him from a distance.

As the three approached, Luo Yu had yet to speak when Gita, already looking uneasy and blushing, quietly said to him, ”Mr. Ade, this is my brother—”

”Zi Feiyu,” the young Magic Guided Conductor extended his hand, a glint of surprise flashing in his silver eyes, ”You can call me Feiyu. I’ve heard about you from Gita for quite some time, and Red Leaf has also mentioned some of your affairs—”

”However,” his silver gaze turned cold again, ”I heard you’re planning to have Gita, as well as Luo Yu, leave our Knight Order?”

In that instant, Fang Hong understood the other’s identity.

The Tabopolis Oak Knights, in fact, are comprised of two appellations—the Oak Knights is actually the name of Tabopolis’s core brigade, but because this brigade is so well-known, it is referred to collectively with the Guild.

Though Tabopolis lacks a second world’s overall association, the Oak Knights outshine both the Silver Shadow of the Silver Forest Spear and the Death Crow of the Jiefulite Red Cloak Team in the Rainbow Bay Area. Its formidable combat achievements come entirely from the personal strength of each member within the brigade.

The Magic Guided Conductor from the Council of Steel, he should have realized this sooner—the man standing before him was the Chief Magus of the Oak Knights.

But could he actually be Gita’s brother?

Fang Hong broke out in a cold sweat. Gita had never mentioned this to him, and here he was, contemplating taking the sister of a future Natural Historian of Tabopolis away from the Knight Order—
