Pillar of Yita

Fang Hong was completely stunned.

He had never considered this aspect of the problem, but upon reflection, wasn’t it actually true? The guild identities of Gita and Luo Yu didn’t seem to conflict with their roles in the Adventure Group.

They were currently trainees of Tabopolis, and Tianlan was also a trainee of the Twelve-Colored Iris, but that didn’t hinder their positions within the Adventure Group, did it?

However, he still vaguely felt that there was something problematic about the other party’s words; the allegiances of Gita and Luo Yu didn’t lie with the Adventure Group, and at the end of the day, there would still be some conflicts, although an alliance Adventure Group would minimize these contradictions.

But it was inevitable that a situation might arise where they could be ordered to leave the team by the other party.

It seemed that Yugudola had sensed his concerns and answered, ”We can add restrictions in the contract. If such a situation arises, it could be considered a breach of contract initiated by Tabopolis.”

With that, the problem didn’t seem too significant.

Still, Fang Hong always felt that the other party wasn’t so altruistic. Sure enough, Yugudola then put forward a condition, ”However, the Invoker status of Gita and Luo Yu is also a relatively important one, so sometimes they must also obey the interests of the guild, right?”

”For example?”

”I hope that when the guild is aiming to break through to the second-tier status, Luo Yu and Gita can temporarily return to the guild, or perhaps, Ade, you would also be willing to assist us with Luo Yu and Miss Gita? In that case, we could allow them to stay in your team during that time.”

”And as an alliance Adventure Group, there are some obligations to bear, right?”

Fang Hong thought for a moment. Naturally, an alliance Adventure Group wasn’t without restrictions—a mere formality. Each year the Adventure Group had to undertake a mission for the allied Guild. Of course, this task was generally agreed upon by both parties, reasonable, and within the capabilities of the Adventure Group.

Therefore, he nodded.

”Then that’s settled,” Yugudola said with a slight smile: ”It seems our first negotiation went smoothly, which shows that our interests align. After all, Tabopolis is akin to a maternal home for Gita and Luo Yu.”

”So, we’ll agree on that. The rental fee for Gita and Luo Yu will be offset by the high-quality Magic Guided Conductors produced by Mr. Ade, as per the previous suggestion. We have no objections to this, but we still need to discuss the specifics of the pricing.”

”As for the alliance Adventure Group, Tabopolis will grant Miss Gita and Mr. Luo Yu the status of Official Summoners, and Mr. Ade’s Adventure Group only needs to sign a contract for the alliance Adventure Group.”

As Yugudola spoke, her baby-faced smile became adorable, and she reached out her hand in the video: ”Pleasure doing business.”

Fang Hong paused, carefully considered the other party’s terms, and found them acceptable. In a somewhat dazed state, he also reached out his hand, and they clasped hands in the virtual space, signifying an agreement.

Sometime later, Yugudola sent over an official document which was several pages thick, seemingly well-prepared in advance. While Fang Hong had intended to show it to Miss Atira and Tianlan, the latter insisted on overseeing, so he had no choice but to bite the bullet and read it himself.

The entire document was clear and understandable, with no ambiguities, and was essentially the terms they had discussed earlier, though more detailed. The price offered by the Tabopolis side, contrary to their previous haggling—was very generous and reasonable.

After giving it some thought, Fang Hong felt there were no issues. The contract also featured the Goddess’s Heraldry and doctrines, proving that it was likewise bound by the Divine Strength of the Goddess Roman.

Since there was no mistake, both he and Zi Feiyu, the representative from Tabopolis, pressed their handprints.

But after pressing the handprint, Fang Hong seemed to realize something was off. Yugudola might sound reasonable, but he felt that something just didn’t sit right. On closer thought, it appeared the other party hadn’t really offered anything - they talked about a lease, but Luo Yu and Gita still retained their identities as members of the Tabopolis Knights Order.

And as for providing a spot for an Official Summoner - wasn’t that supposed to come from their own people? Shouldn’t they be the ones providing a spot for the Invoker?

Yet, somehow he had blindly signed a bizarre alliance contract with Tabopolis, becoming an unpaid laborer for the Tabopolis Knights Order, doing what Red Leaf had struggled and failed to achieve with much effort. This ’Lady Grey’ had lured him into the trap with just a few words.

Fang Hong looked up, ready to argue with the other party, but Yugudola was no longer talkative this time, only smilingly shaking the contract in her hand, ”Guaranteed by the Goddess—”

”Besides, I am an Elect of the Lord Goddess.”

Fang Hong’s head felt as big as a bucket.

Nevertheless, Miss Grey, the lady from Tabopolis, spoke up soothingly: ”Anyway, both parties got the outcome they wanted, didn’t they? And it’s not too far off.”

”I’ve heard from Red Leaf that Mr. Ade doesn’t care much about guild membership. So, whether Luo Yu and Gita belong to that doesn’t really matter, does it?”

”What’s important is where they are.”

These words made Fang Hong look back—in that direction, Tianlan had already received definite news from her buddy and was rushing towards them with a face full of surprise, tightly hugging Gita with joy, shouting and leaping excitedly.

In her arms, Gita also blinked forcefully, her eyes clearly wet with tears. This was the most worrisome matter for her over the past one or two months, which had now been solved. The others came forward to congratulate them, and among all, only Atira offered Fang Hong an encouraging look.

Then there was Luo Yu’s grateful gaze. This somewhat dull boy wasn’t very good at expressing his emotions, but the sudden relaxation in his expression was evident.

A sense of relief suddenly washed over Fang Hong; indeed, Luo Yu and Gita stayed because they preferred to complete this journey with everyone else.

But in the end, they didn’t dislike their identity with the Oak Knights, did they...

Thinking of Red Leaf, he understood what kind of guild it was. Perhaps only such a guild could nurture excellent Summoners and Trainees like her, Gita, and Luo Yu.

Maybe all of this was truly worth it.

Because from this moment on, Luo Yu and Gita not only had an official status within the Adventure Group,

but their Trainee evaluations had naturally come to an early end—

At the moment when the sun rises above the horizon tomorrow, Eteliria will have two new Invokers.
