Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 489: Chapter 341: The World’s Shock - Climbing Strategy_2

Xu Xin saw their words and thought for a moment.

Hmm, Wen Guixin’s experiences are similar to his, while Zhao Xiaochuan, like Ji Chaoyang, discovered an underground labyrinth in Xue Feng.

It seems that each Xue Feng should be similar, with basically the same dangers encountered.

Wait, they all seem to have not mentioned the scenes on top of Xue Feng?

Xu Xin immediately asked, ”What’s the situation at the top of your Xue Feng?”

Wen Guixin: ”Top of Xue Feng? There’s a Transmission Array in the center that requires three people to activate.”

Ji Chaoyang: ”Is it just the Transmission Array?”

Zhao Xiaochuan: ”Isn’t there anything else? I’ve met with Wen Guixin now, we’re both at the top of Xue Feng, there’s nothing else, it’s completely empty.”

Qi Xuefei: ”There are no stone statues?”

Zhao Xiaochuan: ”What stone statues, there aren’t any?”

Xu Xin and Li Wenxi exchanged a glance, and Li Wenxi couldn’t help but ask softly: ”Those beast stone statues and the extraordinarily large pterosaur stone statue, they really don’t have those over there?”

”...Maybe, it’s only on our side.” Xu Xin squinted his eyes and said softly.

He’s increasingly certain now that the stone statue group on this giant peak is greatly related to the Chang Yin Family.

Otherwise, why would only his side have a group of stone statues while the other similarly-functioning Xue Feng doesn’t?

This matter needs to be discussed with Ji Chaoyang, who knows Xu Xin has encountered Stone Giants in the underground city, but Xu Xin hasn’t told him yet that he took Chang Yin out.

Also, Lou Fei’Er needs to be cautious.

The stone statue group isn’t part of this event, so no one knows what consequences it might bring.

Back then, Xu Xin couldn’t do anything against just one Stone Giant, and now there’s an entire group at the peak, which is too dangerous.

Of course, he couldn’t cause any harm to Chang Yin back then because the Chang Yin Family’s stone bodies were all blue-level, and he didn’t have any weapons exceeding blue-level. Chang Yin clearly told him that weapons below purple-level couldn’t harm him.

Now, he has purple-level weapons and armor, so perhaps he might be able to fight them.

But with so many enemies, it’s best to avoid fighting as a wise strategy.

Zhao Xiaochuan: ”What about Brother Chaoyang and Brother Xin? What did you encounter?”

Wang Lei: ”You can see it by scrolling up the chat records. They’ve already told us. Since we know the situation at each stage, why don’t I start climbing now? Anyway, with the red berries, there’s no difference between day and night.”

Xu Xin: ”It’s best not to. The temperature at night is much lower than during the day, making it very difficult to pass that low-temperature section. You should choose a suitable time to go, like ten o’clock chosen by Wen Guixin and Zhao Xiaochuan, which is great for both the low-temperature and high-temperature sections.”

Ji Chaoyang: ”Xu Xin is saying exactly what I wanted to say. Start climbing at ten in the morning. When you climb to the low-temperature section, it will be close to noon, which is the hottest time of the day, and the temperature will increase. Now it’s completely dark by four in the afternoon, and the temperature will drop, so you can enter the clouds at that time, and the environmental temperature will also decrease a bit.”

That’s right, this is exactly what Xu Xin thought.

Compared to Wen Guixin and Zhao Xiaochuan, his climbing this time is practically against the odds.

Before sunrise is the coldest time of the day, and even at sunrise, it doesn’t get much warmer. He chose to climb the coldest section during this time, enduring temperatures of minus fifty degrees or even lower.

And when he climbed into the clouds, it was already afternoon, and in the hottest part of the day, he entered the steaming clouds, enduring temperatures higher than a sauna.

Unbelievable.

However, the role of pioneers is reflected here, providing experience for those who come later, so they don’t make the same mistakes.

Since he has already tested each stage’s trials in the entire Xue Feng, others can choose the most suitable time to climb, easily reducing the difficulty.

Lou Fei’Er: ”That sounds reasonable, so let’s go at ten tomorrow morning! On our side, I’ll be the third person.”

Wang Lei: ”Awesome, having a powerhouse providing strategies! But if it’s ten tomorrow... won’t the names on the leaderboard be a bit embarrassing? Isn’t it fine to go early?”

Wang Lei is still concerned about getting a good ranking on the leaderboard since the other four are so strong. He doesn’t want to embarrass zone 188.

Wen Guixin: ”Today, who knows how many people climbed the snow mountains, but only five have made it onto the leaderboard so far. Zhao Xiaochuan and my timing was perfect, both completing it an hour before the time limit. Do you think climbing is that easy? Compared to the leaderboard, focus on how to keep yourself alive!”

Wang Lei: ”...Indeed... Brother Xin and Brother Chaoyang were so fast, I was almost misled...”

Wen Guixin: ”Moreover, Zhao Xiaochuan is speed-oriented, and I’m pretty agile too. What about you? You’re strength-oriented, thinking about pointless things here, and worrying about the leaderboard?”

Wang Lei: ”I, I, I... I was wrong...”

Zhao Xiaochuan: ”That’s why I said, don’t get distracted by exploration on the way, just keep climbing. Your speed is basically impossible to be faster than mine.”

That’s indeed the case.

Xu Xin and Ji Chaoyang were so fast mainly because their arm strength greatly increased their climbing speed, which can’t be used as a reference.

Normal climbing wouldn’t be as fast as them, even Wen Guixin and Zhao Xiaochuan just barely made it in the last hour. With such high difficulty, only five people completed the climb today.

It’s likely that most of those climbing today didn’t complete the activity and ”left this beautiful world.”

For others, survival is the priority.

However, speaking of the leaderboard, Xu Xin has a minor concern.

If Lou Fei’Er makes it onto the leaderboard, which zone will she be representing?

Is it zone 187, zone 188, or perhaps both?

”Wow, Sister Gui Xin seems a bit angry...” Li Wenxi whispered to Xu Xin, leaning close to his ear.

She’s afraid her voice will be recorded.

Xu Xin’s ear was tickled, so he pinched her little behind, turned off the watch projection, and suddenly flipped over, pressing her beneath him.

”You, you, you... what are you doing! How come you... no... ah! You pressed on my hair!”

...
