Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 459: Chapter 326: Eagle Sauce, Why Is It You Again?

Xu Xin quickly stood up and looked outside the cave.

Outside the cave entrance, the previously still mist began to churn. Three giant eagles, each with a wingspan exceeding four meters, were flapping their wings in the mist. Their sharp, hooked beaks and talons gleamed with a cold light!

Their bodies were covered with blood-red patterns, looking very powerful, yet frightening.

The bright yellow beaks and claws were strikingly conspicuous in the cool-toned high altitude!

One of the giant eagles was particularly enormous.

Its bright yellow, downward-curving, sharp beak opened, releasing a somewhat strange cry, its piercing eyes fixedly staring at the cave entrance where Xu Xin stood.

Its incredibly sharp talons relaxed, and a few fragments of rock it had crushed fell through the gaps of its enormously exaggerated talons, as its massive wings beat, surprisingly able to hover in the air!

This was the one that had suddenly attacked Xu Xin from behind, and after he dodged, it directly clawed a pit into the rock wall, shattering it!

”This...”

Looking at the three giant eagles in front of him, Xu Xin was not afraid but rather dumbfounded, while his eyes sparkled.

These giant eagles look somewhat familiar...

If you ignore the blood-red patterns on their bodies, these birds with white heads, black bodies, and yellow beaks and claws, he had encountered once before in this world...

Isn’t this... a bald eagle?!

Eagle Realm, is it you again?!

How can you be in such a cold place, and yet grow to be so enormous!

The bald eagle, commonly known as the bald eagle, usually inhabits riverbanks, lakes, or sea coasts, preying on fish, water birds, and small mammals.

The last time Xu Xin encountered such a bird, it was during the first phase of the hunting activity.

His automatic crossbow shot a low-flying bald eagle, pinning it directly to the tree trunk.

That eagle contributed several kilograms of eagle meat and dozens of feathers to him.

Little did he expect to see bald eagles in this birdless, extremely cold high altitude.

And mutated bald eagles, no less!

Bald eagles are not afraid of the cold, whether in scorching heat or severe winter, they can soar swiftly in the sky. Their feathers are inherently hollow, providing good insulation, and each feather’s root is covered with fine down, further enhancing warmth.

As they say, but... the temperature here is just too low!

Minus fifty degrees, and still able to soar?

What can I say, truly worthy of being a mutant creature...

Among these three bald eagles, the largest one has particularly exaggerated claws, its massive and sharp talons capable of shattering even hard rocks directly!

This is the mark of a mid-level mutant creature, with its attacking parts enlarged. Clearly, this one is already a mid-level mutant, and judging from its appearance, stronger than an average mid-level mutant.

Fortunately, although the other two are not small, they do not have any distinctive mutations, indicating they are still low-level mutants.

Xu Xin looked at the map.

Unfortunately, there was no display on the map.

There were red dots, but they only showed creatures on the ground. Around him, there was still nothing.

... This map is utterly useless, unable to show anything underground, and here in the high altitude, it can’t show anything either...

At this moment, the largest mid-level mutant bald eagle suddenly let out a sharp cry and charged towards Xu Xin!

Xu Xin immediately retreated deeper into the cave.

The bald eagle was very large, with its wings spread out, it couldn’t fly into the cave, and could only let out a strange cry and wave its sharp talons at the edge of the cave.

”Crack!”

The sound of stones cracking rang out, and a stone over ten centimeters in size was directly clawed down with one casual swipe, rolling down the uneven rock wall.

Xu Xin listened to the sound of stones colliding and rolling down the rock wall, nervously watching the three bald eagles blocking the cave entrance.

Where did they come from? Could they also have been brought up from underground by this giant peak?

Why would there be flying mutant creatures underground?

Wait a minute...

This giant peak rises over a thousand meters...

At depths over a thousand meters, it reaches the underground world, right?!

The underground world teeming with giant monsters is probably just below a thousand meters underground, right?!

The three massive mutant bald eagles saw Xu Xin retreating and couldn’t attack him, so they could only issue piercing cries at the entrance of the cave.

Although they were issuing piercing cries, Xu Xin couldn’t help but want to laugh.

Despite their fierce appearance, unlike their imposing demeanor, the cries of bald eagles are very feeble. If you didn’t see their appearance, just heard the sound, you would only think it’s a bunch of small birds chirping.

In various movies, the long, sharp, sky-piercing, and cloud-shaking cries of bald eagles aren’t their own sounds but are actually the calls of the famous vocal actor in the Eagle Realm, the red-tailed hawk.

Because their own sounds really do not match their appearance, to maintain their image, they have to find a voice actor.

In this regard, the bald eagle is somewhat similar to Mimi, the cheetah, one is the whimpering monster of the beasts, and the other is the whimpering monster of the birds of prey.

”Crack! Crack!”

Seeing that Xu Xin did not come out of the cave, the few bald eagles began to take turns attacking the cave entrance, their sharp talons striking at the entrance again and again, continuously shattering the rock wall, and the entrance was gradually widened from the original one meter width.
