Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 477: Chapter 336: The Appearance of the 3rd Person on the Ranking

There’s no other way. Since the path back has already been blocked, he can only navigate forward in the maze.

It seems to be due to the presence of the fleeing furry mutant creature, the number of mutant creatures he encountered in the maze far exceeded his expectations, and each one attacked him recklessly, even if injured, they wouldn’t flee!

In this situation, he couldn’t follow the injured escaping mutant creatures like last time in the underground city maze to find the exit of the maze.

Because the passage was narrow, weapons were less effective, and the mutant creatures were attacking recklessly, he was even injured several times.

He spent a long time navigating the maze before finally squeezing out, at the exit, he was still in the middle part of a massive stone column peak.

”From this point on, is an experience similar to yours. Crossing through the high-temperature clouds and the last two hundred meters without any danger, you know what happened next.” Ji Chaoyang glanced at Xu Xin and said, on the way back, Xu Xin had already recounted his experiences.

The maze underground city...

Another thing that should only appear underground.

This further convinced Xu Xin that his previous speculation, that the massive stone column peak emerging might have brought underground matters to the surface, might really be correct.

Since it’s a maze underground city, Ji Chaoyang certainly got something within the maze.

However, since he didn’t say, Xu Xin wouldn’t ask more.

He himself hadn’t told others about the giant egg and treasure chest creature, mainly because he didn’t know what they were, and, frankly, couldn’t be bothered to explain.

However...

Xu Xin slightly frowned, ”Didn’t you find anything else in that outside area, apart from the maze entrance?”

”No,” Ji Chaoyang shook his head firmly, ”After circling around, confirming there was nothing else, I wanted to enter and take a look. Who knew the retreat would be directly sealed, leaving me only the option to explore the maze.”

Xu Xin nodded, pondering.

Judging by the time, he did explore the cave with the giant egg a bit, not constantly climbing upwards.

So, even without the vultures hindering him, Ji Chaoyang should have entered this area ahead of him.

Perhaps the appearing vultures and treasure chest creature were due to Ji Chaoyang’s entrance to the maze, and closing the entrance, that they appeared on the platform.

... This matter might very well be related to that mutant human.

Perhaps it didn’t want other survivors climbing up, so upon discovering Ji Chaoyang, it released treasure chest creatures and a vulture flock to hinder other survivors from climbing.

Although the two of them couldn’t affect each other, the environment should have been the same, as evident from the avalanche Xu Xin caused that affected Ji Chaoyang as well.

And after the vulture flock collectively disappeared, and Xu Xin climbed to this concave area, Ji Chaoyang was still trapped in the maze, so he did not find any maze entrance because both entrance and exit were closed at the time.

After he had been gone with the treasure chest creature for a long time, Ji Chaoyang finally conquered the entire maze, came out, and continued to climb upwards.

The general timeline should be roughly like this.

The mutant human... might be a key.

What else is there in this snow mountain? Why does the furry mutant human feel just like...

A worker in the underground city?

”So, it seems when climbing, the area that can be somewhat threatening to me is the middle area?” Lou Fei’Er, who had been listening for a long time, sitting in a chair, somewhat understood.

”Although I haven’t experienced it, I feel I shouldn’t be afraid of extreme cold or heat. Tomorrow, I’ll try my best to leave that area quickly. Or, do I need to go to the middle area to find the mutant human inside? Don’t look at me like this, my perception of mutant creatures is quite strong.” She looked at Xu Xin and asked.

Xu Xin and Ji Chaoyang exchanged a glance, both of them shook their heads slightly.

Even if she could indeed enter the maze again, as someone entirely unfamiliar with the maze interior, she’d basically never be able to find that mutant human, instead wasting a lot of time.

Moreover, she indeed enhanced her speed after mutation, but couldn’t possibly be faster than Xu Xin and Ji Chaoyang, who possessed arm strength enhancement. The time spent climbing would certainly be longer than theirs.

”Tomorrow, climb as fast as possible, don’t add extra complications.” Xu Xin shook his head and said. Let the matter of the mutant human wait until the great array truly opens.

There’s still a pile of bizarre stone statues on the summit yet to be resolved.

Lou Fei’Er sat upright, nodded docilely, ”Got it.”

Li Wenxi and Qi Xuefei looked at each other, not knowing what to say.

This matter, it seems, has nothing to do with them; sitting here doesn’t really give them anything to say.

Ji Chaoyang simultaneously shared his experience in the explorer.

Over on the other side, those three already knew the snow peak still needed another person to climb, they were discussing who might be the most suitable, and their experiences could give them some suggestions.

While over on Xu Xin’s side, after a round of discussion, no conclusion was reached.

Eventually, Ji Chaoyang and Qi Xuefei left, leaving behind Li Wenxi, who intended to stay for dinner, and Lou Fei’Er, who could cook.

Lou Fei’Er went to prepare dinner, while Li Wenxi stood by the window looking out.
