Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 467: Chapter 330: Breaking through the clouds, reaching the summit, activity completed!

He first continued to replenish all the blue-grade fruit buffs, then looked up.

The rock wall above, about four meters high from him, was impossible to climb bare-handed, but using a grappling hook made it easy.

Anyone without a grappling hook might be stopped here.

”Click!” The grappling hook pierced the rock wall and opened up, bringing Xu Xin to the edge of the four-meter-high rock face. He reached out to grab the rough wall, retrieved the grappling hook, and with a forceful push of his arms, climbed another two or three meters, once again hanging onto the rock wall.

Above, the thick white cloud layer was less than a hundred meters away from him.

Continuing to climb upwards.

This time, he encountered no danger and climbed very easily all the way up.

Because he was close to the cloud layer, the surrounding humidity started to get heavy.

What shocked him the most was that, as he climbed, the surrounding temperature began gradually rising.

By now, it was already afternoon, essentially the warmest time of the day. The temperature in the jungle below should have risen to about minus ten degrees. Most survivors could go out with the green-grade snow outfits sold for 100 points in the points mall.

But the temperature around Xu Xin now was unusually high.

Although it was near a thousand meters altitude, the temperature had already risen above zero!

Indeed, it was even above freezing!

After climbing tens of meters more, Xu Xin fully entered the cloud layer, his whole body enveloped by it.

The cloud layer, which from the outside seemed like a cotton candy, was actually quite dense fog.

When flying through clouds on a plane, it is easy to observe their insides through the window, so Xu Xin was not surprised.

After entering the cloud, Xu Xin took off the snow fox scarf from his neck and put it in his backpack.

Because now, wearing the scarf made him start sweating. The temperature here was surprisingly over twenty degrees!

This cloud, this dense fog, was actually warm!

Absurd, wasn’t this supposed to be a thousand meters high? Below it was at least minus ten degrees, how could it be so warm above!

Indeed, ordinary logic couldn’t apply here.

The cloud was incredibly thick, and the fog was very dense. As soon as he was enveloped by the cloud layer, Xu Xin felt his body instantly soaked, and even breathing became a little difficult.

The humidity was extremely high, even more than the prolonged rainy days in a small town in Jiangnan!

Luckily, the dense fog did not affect climbing. With the help of the snow goggles, although the fog was very thick, he could still see about ten meters around him.

The only downside was that the lens would get covered with moisture, making things gradually distorted and blurry.

He tried to remove the goggles, but the fog was so dense that he couldn’t see a meter in front of him. He had no choice but to put the goggles back on, wiping them every ten seconds while continuing to ascend.

His body was completely drenched by the fog, thoroughly soaked.

The surrounding temperature was still slowly rising, gradually reaching over thirty degrees, and continuing to increase.

Although Xu Xin’s arm movements climbing did not stop, his expression turned rather unpleasant.

Having just experienced extreme cold, is he going to face extreme heat now?

Xu Xin preferred to freeze rather than burn.

Compared to cold, heat was much harder for him to tolerate.

Though thirty degrees wasn’t excessively high. When he first arrived in this world, the temperature in the scorching jungle was also around thirty degrees.

But it’s different if the surroundings are full of moisture.

This unbearable humid heat, combined with each breath filled with hot vapor, was maddening.

Xu Xin quickened his pace; he needed to get out of this cloud layer quickly.

Continuing to climb another fifty meters, Xu Xin felt even more humid and hot.

Could it be? Would the temperature keep rising?

If it continued to rise, wouldn’t it be like a sauna!

He definitely didn’t want to be rock climbing in a sauna! That would surely lead to heat exhaustion!

Sweat or condensed fog water was running down all over his body, and his breathing gradually became heavy.

At this height, the humidity had soared, but the air seemed thin now, completely unlike the feeling of being at a thousand meters height. If he hadn’t climbed up all the way himself, he might have thought he had reached the height of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau!

Fortunately, his status was complete. The blue-grade orange’s spiritual power boost and the blue-grade strawberry’s ability to eliminate negative effects kept his mind clear, and he didn’t feel dizzy despite the thin oxygen.

With his climbing, the surrounding heat intensified, and it seemed the temperature had reached fifty degrees!

Goodness, he had just experienced minus fifty degrees below!

Just a few hundred meters difference, and the temperature variation reached fifty degrees!

Luckily, what was warm was the cloud, this fog enveloping him, not the rock in front of him.

The rock’s temperature was still normal. Because the cloud and fog were thick, no sunlight reached it, making the touch of the stone rather comfortable.

If the rock was over fifty degrees, it would have been real torture.

...It might as well be a sauna!

Xu Xin gritted his teeth and continued climbing upward.

The temperature kept rising; he was really climbing in a sauna at fifty or sixty degrees.

Though his mind remained clear because of the blue-grade fruits, he also clearly felt his body was starting to show signs of fatigue.
