Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 481: Chapter 337 Miserable Treasure Chest Monster_3

The treasure chest suspended in mid-air had just reached its highest point when several vines lashed down swiftly from above, striking the chest fiercely!

Immediately, the struck treasure chest plummeted to the ground at an incredible speed, landing with a ”thud!” that caused the entire chest to deform momentarily!

And the Silver King and Lou Fei’Er were already waiting below.

The Silver King lunged forward, sinking its wolfish mouth into the opening seam of the chest lid, its massive wolf teeth deeply embedded, preventing the chest from opening again.

Meanwhile, Lou Fei’Er wielded a purple-grade dagger, her movements swift as lightning. With a ”szzla” sound, she flashed past, leaving a deep gash on the back of the chest! Much deeper than the marks left by Mimi!

The attack power of the strongest purple-grade dagger is no joke!

Following this, Mimi’s cat claws joined in, launching into a frenzied scratching spree!

Everything happened in an instant.

”Alright, everyone stop!”

Xu Xin did not attack again and called off the other assaults.

Because he did not want to kill or destroy this treasure chest monster.

The inside of this treasure chest monster definitely holds an immense space, and just now, its vitality...

Perhaps, it could be used and kept under control?

The multiple beasts and Lou Fei’Er halted their actions immediately, with the Silver King releasing its grip and retreating two steps, the vines freezing in mid-air, and Lou Fei’Er withdrawing to Xu Xin’s side.

However, they still eyed the treasure chest menacingly.

”Little Coco?” Keke’s small head peeked out from the tree house window, scanning around.

It was startled awake by the dangers and noises outside.

Because Xu Xin and the others were below the tree house, Keke couldn’t see when looking out the window, so it clutched its little head, confused about what was happening, nearly tumbling from the window edge.

”Ying ying ying!” Keke swiftly retreated into the tree house.

The treasure chest monster was already down on the ground, and Xu Xin could see the entire chest trembling slightly.

It was clearly frightened.

Then, under the wary gazes of the people and beasts, the chest lying face-up slowly began to open, revealing a gap.

Mimi immediately let out a threatening hiss towards the treasure chest monster, frightening it into closing again.

”Don’t make a move.” Xu Xin stopped their actions.

This treasure chest monster seemed to have no intention of continuing the attack.

Mimi let out another hiss of warning towards the chest monster before stepping back two steps.

Li Wenxi stepped forward at this moment, standing beside Xu Xin, looking towards the treasure chest monster.

Xu Xin didn’t make her step back either; it should be safe now.

After waiting another ten seconds, the treasure chest monster, sensing no danger, once again slowly opened its lid, revealing a small gap.

Then, a little object was spat out, and it quickly closed its lid again.

The object dropped right in front of Xu Xin.

Xu Xin bent down and picked it up, inspecting it closely.

”Is this... a key? A key?” Li Wenxi curiously examined the key in Xu Xin’s hand, which emitted a bronze glow.

Xu Xin’s lips curved into a smile.

[Treasure Chest Monster Key (Purple): Every treasure chest monster has a matching key. The fortunate one who obtains the key becomes the master of the treasure chest monster, able to control it while acquiring all the treasure the monster has consumed but couldn’t digest!]
