Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1702: Chapter 279: Aesces’s Calamity of Fate

Hill hesitantly asked, ”Do you not know who Rose is?”

”I do know!” Aesces quickly replied, ”But, if I hadn’t ignored those elves, I wouldn’t have...”

”Who implanted such strange ideas in you?” Hill said helplessly, ”Coron and Rose have fought across countless worlds, with innumerable successful ambushes. What do they expect from you?

Isn’t it normal for you to ignore creatures from worlds not your own?

If it’s something he should be dealing with and he doesn’t do it, why are you even thinking about it?”

Aesces hesitated, ”But without my acknowledgment, those Mutated Silk Spiders wouldn’t become a real race.”

”In Teraxil, more than half the humans want to kill Coron’s son, and if possible, even the Human Gods wouldn’t hesitate to strike hard, including William,” Hill calmly said, ”Coron knows this himself, yet he collaborates well with William.

The Father of Elves indeed has his own issues, but he doesn’t easily hold a grudge unless you’re secretly planning to trap him.”

”I’ve seen him,” Aesces suddenly said, ”in my inherited memories.”

Hill tilted his head in confusion, ”Hmm?”

”He was fighting with Gewoosh, his face twisted with ferocity,” Aesces quietly said, ”The Chief Orc God is also terrifying, but his appearance makes any wicked deed seem normal.

But Coron, you see... the contrast between his image and style was so striking that even just seeing him in memory left me trembling.

Moreover, he seemed to have a peculiar ability; even though I watched them fight within my own memory, he noticed me.

That glare, it was terrifying!”

”When did you see it? Right after birth?” Hill said dismissively.

”How do you know?”

”Ah, I... You really are like a lineage of... ah...” Hill, who had somewhat guessed his origin, couldn’t help but sigh, ”Who shows such things to their newborn child?

Remember, when you pass down that memory, make sure it’s only viewable after maturity... Even if you’re a born World Master, wait until your Divinity surpasses a medium level before watching such powerful Divine Power battle scenes!

Is he fierce?

It’s his battle will leaking and affecting your emotions... Your spiritual resistance isn’t strong, which is why you find him so frightening.

You haven’t figured this out yet?”

”But I’ve seen many others too!

Didn’t have this feeling!” Aesces said defiantly.

”Nonsense, it’s not the World Tree in my family, but your own ancestor; they are older than most deities in the Universe, how could they not control their leaking spiritual influences?” Hill couldn’t help but feel like scolding him, ”Coron and Gewoosh, they were just born at that time!

Control it for whom?

Who is weaker than Coron?”

Then he took a breath and said lightly, ”For a powerful deity like Coron, being seen in the river of memory, he will undoubtedly notice.

If he notices, he’ll surely track it, knowing you have seen it is perfectly normal.

But he may not remember who you are... You’re not his enemy, and countless deities from various systems have seen his birth; he surely focuses more on foes and allies.

Don’t scare yourself; he won’t mind you.

Especially concerning Rose... Medicare shouldn’t be a liability to him; it’s enough not to have a guilty conscience, as the Spider Queen owes it all to his efforts.”

Aesces pondered for a long time and finally realized, ”Yeah! If it weren’t for those elves attracting Rose, my world wouldn’t have these spiders in the first place!

Uh... Why do I vaguely feel like I owe him?”

”Because without the Mutated Silk Spiders, you wouldn’t have attracted the Undead Tribe... And then, when Ismael brings their whole family into the Heavenly Realm, you can enjoy what surprise truly means,” Hill understood and couldn’t help but coldly laugh, ”I say, do you truly understand, if you really owe anyone, it’s just me.”

Such a stubborn existence like Aesces, rather than explaining the full causality, Hill opted to simply divert his attention towards himself.

After all, if he truly doesn’t want to owe anyone anything, no matter how he repays it, Hill can take it.

He deserves it.

After traversing several worlds, Hill had never made such a significant contribution to any world.

However, Aesces seemed much more relaxed when facing Hill: ”That’s right, the key to everything is you.

If it wasn’t for you coming, it would take me ages to deal with the Mutated Silk Spiders plus whatever Gaia thing!

So that’s good, that’s good.”

”What exactly are you worried about?” Hill felt his behavior was a bit strange.

”I! As long as I still have the ability to control the world, I’ll never welcome elves back into this world again,” Aesces quickly confessed, ”Owing you is nothing, I believe I can always repay it clearly.

You have such good fortune, even if you don’t become deities, you’ll definitely have the qualification to enter the Earth’s Home.

”Furthermore, if you really run into bad luck and I have to figure out a way to rescue your soul and find a chance for you to be reborn, I’d do it willingly!”

”The words that follow are no different from farting,” Hill said coldly.

William hesitated for a few seconds, slowly swallowing back the words he was about to say... He wanted to add that if Hill was truly so unfortunate that even those of them who were closely tied to the Styx couldn’t save him, he could still repay his debts to Teraxil.

The bit of earthly light in Hill’s soul couldn’t be seen by other deities, but those of the same Earth Deity System could recognize it at a glance.

That’s clearly Teraxil!

Although the separated soul is no longer what it used to be, the merits between Hill and Teraxil can still be mutually granted.

No death can be considered an absolute death.

But judging by Hill’s demeanor, he seemed not to like this idea much?

William, after undergoing storm-like training at ’Snow Cloud Peak’ for so many days, finally gained some insight... though he might still anger others, at least not to the extent of turning friends into strangers and then into mortal enemies.

Hill didn’t know why William fell silent, but he had no intention of letting the guy continue... He couldn’t really fall out with William over some unpleasant words, could he?

So he bluntly asked, ”Are you planning to leave all these tasks to Mr. Snow Cloud Peak?

Isn’t that a bit too much?”

”Given the current situation, there’s actually very little I can do,” William said with a hint of bewilderment, ”I suddenly have a feeling that no matter what decision I make, it seems to be wrong.

On the other hand, the Undead Tribe is not affected at all.”

Hill blinked and instantly understood the true meaning behind William’s words: this time, it was like a predestined calamity for William.

Any decision or struggle he makes seems to lead to another trouble.

In contrast, the issues handled by the Undead Tribe are truly resolved.

The unknown entity troubling William finds it challenging to react to the Undead Tribe’s way of conduct.

This can only prove that it’s the intangible fate that’s toying with William.

Hill slightly frowned, knowing that each world indeed undergoes various tests during ascension, and the total magnitude of the tests doesn’t change.

Teraxil had a stroke of bad luck shortly after its birth... The totality of tests it underwent could hardly compare to this single misfortune, ensuring that their world could confidently ascend to a high-level world.

This means that all gods in Teraxil could ascend to powerful Divine Power, as long as they possess the strength.

Hill couldn’t help but ask the still troubled World Master: ”William, are you a naturally powerful Divine Power?”

”Yes~” William asked in confusion, ”Isn’t that normal?

Isn’t Teraxil?

Isn’t she also a child of the World Tree?”

”The World Tree... would not resort to such forceful measures,” Hill pressed his forehead, ”He hopes his children have a growth process, advancing step by step.”

But Teraxil directly encountered a huge misfortune... Hill once saw in some of his inherited memories Teraxil’s bewilderment, she sincerely wondered if, when the World Tree cast her into this universe, it had offended the Star Spirit that created it.

Although the Star Spirit creates the blueprint of the universe, it merely sketches an outline in the vast emptiness.

Like a carpenter building a house, after finishing, he glances at it and, dissatisfied, simply leaves to build a new world.

They are too powerful, making self-satisfaction difficult.

Beings like the World Tree, due to their overly biased nature, enjoy placing their offspring into these forsaken new worlds.

If they create something themselves, it would just be a so-called green planet, with very few animals besides plants... not to mention letting their daughter mutate into an Earth Deity System.

But when a Star Spirit abandons, it utterly abandons, never looking back to settle old scores.

Who could have known that as soon as Teraxil began consolidating its world, it would face such a great calamity!

And it happened because a newly born Star Spirit was ambushed by the Demon Prince... Dimogogan truly dared, if the Star Spirit that created the Teraxil world was nearby, it could have easily crushed him to death.

But if he truly succeeded in sacrificing the Star Spirit to the Bottomless Abyss, then... even with all its schemes, the Bottomless Abyss could only acknowledge the Double-headed Baboon as the true Lord of the Abyss.

But that’s utterly impossible.

Even Coron and the Gray Dwarves knew what he intended, so how could he succeed!

Forget it, there’s no point dwelling on these thoughts.

In any case, Teraxil World faces a smooth path ahead, without such serial calamities for at least hundreds of thousands of years.

However, William seems to be facing a calamity of fate.

This guy, is he on the verge of surpassing powerful Divine Power?
