Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Capítulo 1691: Chapter 268: Ambori Finds Her Old Friend

‘Lu Huayu’ indeed knows about this Wanderers’ Alliance of the sea and sky… Though the outside world knows more about one part of it, the loose alliance of Ocean and Sky Dreamers.

The composition of its personnel alone shows how unreliable this alliance is… Like Deep Sea · Saixila who was publicly tail-swiped by a dolphin wife.

This Lord of the Sea Elves is even one of the leading figures.

However, they actually have a not-so-publicly-discussed big alliance… Many Sea Gods and Sky Gods of the Evil Faction, as long as they are willing to abide by certain rules, can join… The outsiders don’t understand how this rule is determined, but the grand ocean dubbed the Paradise Realm of Love, ensures the existence of their rules, and indeed those evil pantheons follow them.

However, ‘Lu Huayu’ knows another point: After joining the Destroyer Pantheon, Ambori was secretly kicked out from that alliance.

The Sea of Love no longer accepts her entry.

After all, while the ocean indeed has a nature of destruction, it cannot be devoid of life.

Talos’s true attribute is unknown, but his apparent destructive nature is enough to make the Sea of Life reject Ambori, this Lesser God, from entering again.

Though Ambori can endure and adapt, willing to give up anything to preserve her life, she actually has her pride.

And she never gets entangled with those dirty and humiliating pasts, nor does she regret them.

Therefore, although Winter Maiden Olypher is easier to communicate with in terms of style, ‘Lu Huayu’ prefers Ambori.

No matter the matter, Ambori can throw it into the trash can, never to be recalled… Though speaking of it, the indestructible cockroach is negligible, even making many disgusted when mentioned, yet ‘Lu Huayu’ feels that if one cannot live glamorously, being like a cockroach is also a way of life.

Such an Ambori, even if feeling regret, she will not easily bow down to rekindle old relationships… Even if she doesn’t contact them, she won’t die, right?

However, whether it’s because helping ‘Lu Huayu’ check relationships gave her courage and confidence, or she really got an exceptionally good luck, Ambori actually encountered the most ethereal being in the Wanderers’ Alliance, ‘Song of Silence’, in her terms, the Singer.

Although this being belongs to the Kind Alignment of the Sky Gods, in reality, he ignores everyone.

Moreover, every time he appears, it actually causes those within the radius of his song to hear a heartbreaking and beautiful polyphonic chorus.

Many deities are affected by him, unable to control their sorrow, even getting frozen like humans, so very few deities seek him out for a chat.

‘Lu Huayu’ can even imagine how lonely and bored Ambori must be to always appear near that golden Light Ord and listen to him sing… If that thing wished, its song would be indistinct from Fear Magic to the Evil Faction!

But in the later stages, for Ambori to hear the stories she wants, probably that Light Ord has confirmed this Evil Goddess’s attribute… Although she’s bad, she’s unable to create harm scarier than the Kind Alignment, right?

No matter for what reason, that ‘Song of Silence’ is willing to accept Ambori again, no matter Ambori’s confidence, she indeed took a bit of risk for ‘Lu Huayu’.

For someone well-aware of how selfish and indifferent the Evil Faction is like ‘Lu Huayu’, he cannot help but feel this sincerity.

So he gently smiled: “Ambori, you must be pleased to meet your old friend… It’s okay, I have other friends too!

Friends come in many types, some close, some distant, and some, only when meeting face-to-face, count as friends.

But reuniting with old acquaintances is always a joy of life.

As long as, the only confidant is me, that’s good.”

Ambori earnestly looked at ‘Lu Huayu’s’ expression, immediately becoming happy. She nodded and spoke with a bit of a provocative tone: “So, those who only know how to stay at home watching others play, what can they possibly know?”

‘Lu Huayu’ helplessly let out a bitter smile; sometimes, Ambori really can’t control her provocative nature.

Fortunately, Shaer, having confirmed Ambori has no harm beyond her mouth and instead can help William’s subordinates, doesn’t bother with her.

Yet again, benefits are all poured into her man’s arms, what counts as hearing some acid words?

Hadn’t she been scolded less before?

It’s just that she hadn’t heard it so clearly before.

He could only smile and change the subject: “Then, did your Singer ever say where his news comes from?

I recall he never stays.”

“A Greek God who likewise loved music told him this story.” Ambori said seriously, “I asked for his name, and the Singer said he is Hermes, used to be a Greek Deity who also visited Toril.

“He is also a rare deity who can listen to the Song of Silence without weeping in his heart!”

The one from Greece, who is very skilled at weighing pros and cons, never risking his own life, the god of gossip!

‘Lu Huayu’ could completely understand why Hermes would hide until the results were out before considering whether or not to enter the Heavenly Mountain… As long as he showed a little willingness to guard the rear or to monitor certain distant confidants of Zeus, Zeus would definitely not think he had any other ideas.

Such a person, while unable to gain the greatest benefit, certainly wouldn’t be too unfortunate either.

Furthermore, he originally was a being full of curiosity and also loves to travel… the multiverse truly suits him.

‘Lu Huayu’ used to quite like him, so he could also understand why Hermes would go chat with the singer of the sorrowfully beautiful ‘Song of Silence’… Listening to those sorrowful songs, which made the deities reminisce about the past, it was impossible for Hermes not to be moved.

He used to be very loyal to his father Zeus, otherwise he could not have served as Zeus’s messenger.

However, in the later stages, he often wandered outside and was unwilling to return to Mount Olympia to do his actual job.

Listening to those songs, he would inevitably be lost in memories, and to chat with that golden light ord, which never pauses nor often interacts with others, about the past stories seemed quite normal.

The second-hand news that Ambori received would already have been organized by the ‘Song of Silence’ to be sung in melody… Hermes also greatly admired Prometheus, even though he didn’t participate in this war, he must have watched it unfold from beginning to end.

‘Lu Huayu’ fished out his tablet, summarized the cause and effect a bit, and sent it over.

Ambori’s words could still make ‘Snow Cloud Peak’ a bit skeptical, but if these words came from an original Greek deity… even though Hermes is very good at deception, the greatest skill of Song of Silence is that no one can lie within its halo, including the Lord of Hell… So indeed, they could turn their gaze towards Medusa and Hades’s direction.

‘Snow Cloud Peak’ pondered for a few seconds, then after receiving the news, confirmed it again; with the help of Aesces, who gloomily returned, he carefully observed the shape of the dagger in the cupboard… the defense established by the Master of Runes could not block the eyes of the World Master.

So they didn’t really need to go to Stelter Castle to determine what this thing actually looked like.

Even if needed, if Aesces wanted to take it, he could have taken it, because according to the official saying, this thing had already turned to ashes with that great fire and judgment.

So, ‘Snow Cloud Peak’ seriously asked Aesces: “Can this dagger be placed at Triton Temple? As close to his statue as possible.”

“What… do you mean?”

“If it’s Medusa’s item, encountering Poseidon’s bloodline~” ‘Snow Cloud Peak’ grinned teasingly, “If it doesn’t cause some big trouble, it wouldn’t be worthy of her crazy curses over the years.”

Aesces barely understood his meaning… almost did as he said.

Fortunately, he was wise for once and went to ask Hill again.

After hearing the cause and effect, Hill could only wipe his face helplessly, and said with a bitter smile: “Since Medusa and the Poseidon Pantheon are irreconcilable, then, as long as Triton senses that dagger, he’ll know whose it is, won’t he?

You are also a deity, have you forgotten even that?

Who wouldn’t know the strength attribute of their mortal enemy!”

But Hill could only shake his head with a bitter smile, and even Aesces, who almost fell for it, didn’t have much reaction, just disappeared silently, probably going to find Triton, with whom he currently had a fairly peaceful relationship.

There’s nothing to be done, the occasional prankster spirit of the Undead Tribe, even Toril’s mighty divine power sometimes falls for it.

They never delay serious matters, but… how to say this, they give you a little surprise in passing, add some amusement for bystanders, that’s all daily.

The existence that can live in the Little Fairy Kingdom with relish, even holding slight advantage in social interactions, what attribute could it possibly lack understanding of the deities?

The Undead Tribe is useful, but also not easy to use, which is a consensus for everyone.

It can only be said, the sequelae are something any deity can endure… and those who cannot endure it, in fact, the Undead Tribe wouldn’t help them either.

Despite the good interactions between Shaer’s followers and the Undead Tribe, being part of the Evil Faction, they also struggled a lot to suppress that vindictive, even wanting to repay double nature.

So, Shaer’s followers had long since re-divided their control areas… Those unable to accept the Undead Tribe’s style of doing things had already moved to the Underdark or those realms where the Undead Tribe rarely appeared.

This automatic and voluntary rotation, even Shaer, who’s always strict with follower constraint, didn’t object.

Triton didn’t put on airs with Aesces’ invitation… Should Medusa come by, who should fear her the most but him?

Although repaying the father’s debt by the son is quite normal, for Poseidon’s matter, Triton would rather smile at Aesces than help his own father carry this debt!
