Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1668: Chapter 246: I’m Just a Little Whale~

The Undead Tribe embarked on their predetermined path to dual-sided flowering.

This, however, brought a little trouble to Hill.

He sat atop his Magic Tower, looking at the television screen that could only be set to 120 inches, undecided... Should he follow the Black and White Path to witness the duel between Luciella and Lucimar, watching the plot on this little TV?

Or should he stay here and wait for ’Snow Cloud Peak’ to stir something up, using the TV to see what that young woman really looks like?

In any case, Luciella will inevitably appear on the Undead Tribe’s screen.

As for the comparison between Luciella and ’Cunlü’ on the same plane, whether the First Beauty hailed by the Undead Tribe will lose... To be honest, when artificial beauties are very rare, such beauty created based on human aesthetic intelligence is undeniably unparalleled.

’Cunlü’ grew up in art and fashion, naturally possessing strong aesthetics, so the face she created is considered by the Undead Tribe as an extreme beauty they are crazily eager to ask her for data about.

Natural beauties inevitably have some flaws.

However, when artificial beauties become rampant, natural beauty once again becomes a pursuit.

The exquisitely extreme beauty is an absolute shock to the Aescesians who have never experienced such a feeling.

Moreover, the naturally emanating charm of ’Cunlü’ is the reason she can make people sense timeless allure with just a glance.

However, this doesn’t mean much to Hill.

He’s already numb to the sight of artificial and natural beauties, so where the fun is more interesting is truly valuable to him.

Lucimar meeting Luciella, with a ’Lucy’ by his side, her having his ’brother’ or ’nephew’ by her side, that’s what can make Hill find the situation amusing.

But looking at ’Snow Cloud Peak’ firmly unwilling to leave the seaside, Hill feels a bit hesitant.

How to say... This commander indeed sacrifices some of his interests for the bigger picture, but he’s definitely not one to lose both face and content.

So far, he has thrown away the face: Basia City, the main battlefield.

However, as for the inner workings, the so-called desert commendations are more, Hill has some doubts.

He thinks, either there are more advantages to be gained here, or... the final showdown might still be at sea.

Thus, to go or not to go, is a question.

Although the fun can be seen on TV, the lack of a giant screen that makes everything come alive makes Hill a bit disdainful.

Ah~ Indeed, it’s easy to go from frugality to luxury, and hard from luxury to frugality~

Hill lay back in the rocking chair, a cup of refreshing, icy lemon juice emitting white mist drifting by his face. When he slightly moved his fingers, a string of ice beads floated up, falling into his slightly opened mouth.

”Sir, are you truly hesitating?” Purwell indeed hesitated much; he initially planned to pack his things!

Although the Magic Tower could be taken away as a whole, some scattered small items still needed to be packed first to avoid losses when the Magic Tower was reopened due to some inexplicable shock.

But it seems their master here is only speaking casually due to enjoying the fun too much, not planning to act at all?

Purwell pondered hard on how List could cooperate so perfectly with their master?

This period is really testing Little Whale’s patience!

When will they leave this dreadful place? Little Whale increasingly misses List; he only wants to be a carefree good steed with the helm in the hands of someone who can get things done.

Purwell truly doesn’t understand why the narrative of the Greek Gods so distant across who knows how many miles can make his master enjoy so much?

Though that God System is indeed chaotic to the point where their whale mouths almost crack open, it’s just so~

It’s simply chaotic, not entertaining.

Purwell feels giving that Prince of Lies a little time, he would absolutely craft stories that fill the Multiverse with laughter.

Hill waved his hand: ”I still believe in the choice of this Old Dog.

Besides, what’s fun about the desert? I’ve long had enough of wind and sand.”

Although there’s some tacit understanding with a wise person like ’Snow Cloud Peak,’ Hill has no intention of bringing up this matter in Aesces.

Though the stone-headed fellow looks dumb and dull, his control over this world is still quite powerful.

However, a tightly clenched fist easily loses sand and streams water; a long flowing stream gathering sand into a tower has led him to today’s unlucky situation.

Hill would not want any words to come out of his own mouth.

Regarding this matter, whatever the final outcome, the apparent benefits will certainly not fall into the hands of the Deities of Teraxil... As for what a certain deity’s extraterrestrial girlfriend has gained, what does that have to do with them?

That’s AO’s responsibility, right?

Anyway, these deities of Toril have their little claws probing in the Multiverse everywhere.

It’s rare for someone like Shaer to step out of their comfort zone and do something, so there’s no need to be surprised.

But they, Teraxil, are still pacifists... entering someone else’s place requires knocking, and only when they agree can you enter, let alone taking something without permission.

Although sometimes you have to do things discreetly, at least in the entire universe, one must never show a bad image... this is Hill’s judgment from William’s various actions and attitudes.

Of course, he can understand.

A newly emerging world, still riddled with scars just recently repaired, even with underlying injuries, cannot show aggressiveness even with the support of the World Tree.

As for presence, having the Undead Tribe is enough.

Even though this fantasy universe’s mercenary group is backed by increasingly numerous deities, with countless strong warriors, the Wise Ones clearly understand who holds the controller.

And the controller is what’s most important.

Especially after Aesces created the Moon Clan, those deities planning similar actions would have to hesitate for a while.

Now, those who secretly looked down on Coron for borrowing from a small world deity of insignificant divine power probably just realized how correct the Father of Elves’ choice was.

Of course, these guys couldn’t achieve that either.

The reason Aesces succeeded was entirely because he managed to snag Ismael, who also existed as a virtuous presence in that world.

His flawed character doesn’t affect his contribution as a great scientist to the world’s development.

Typically, figures like the God of Time and Space are rare instances.

However, Hill can think of one reason why Uranus had the opportunity to leave with the soul of the God of Time and Space... Greek Gods indeed have many faults, even causing trouble everywhere, yet Uranus was taken out by his wife and children before he could seize that chance.

He always remained the most primitive Sky God, relying entirely on so-called wild instincts for actions... but binding those giant sons within Gaia’s body, preventing them, massive creatures fond of slaughter, from entering the earth, was also a form of virtue.

Though he acted not from genuine caring, doing it was an act regardless.

Thus, the fragmented Divine Soul of Uranus, in some aspects, closely approaches the wild, primordial nature.

Even the mightiest World Master wouldn’t be overly wary of his presence.

He indeed, relying on that wild instinct, chose the best soul capable of success.

Hill smiled, raised his cup toward the distant expedition army of the Undead Tribe on horseback on the giant screen: ”Ah, seems like it’s really hot outside~”

These Undead Tribe members mostly choose to ride on horseback... none summon their Magical Beast companions, all use the standard mounts provided by William.

Those are basically element-created fake horses, standard appearance, even the tack matches exactly, and speed is standard... either galloping or crawling, with no middle ground available.

True to their usual flashy nature, for an army spanning half a kingdom, even crossing for about seven days and nights, they should naturally aim to show off: floral wreaths hung on your horns, roses blooming on mine.

But instead of seeking admiration, traversing through the endless yellow sand, they choose to avoid causing pain to their animal friends.

And though some cast envious glances at Lucimar and Lucy inside the Alchemy Carriage following at the end of the caravan, none opt to use their own Alchemy Carriages... quite a few among them could utilize one.

Yet they, like the others, endure the wind and sand on horseback, maybe donning a hood, or draping a veil.

This isn’t merely because they’re part of the same Alliance so choose to share hardships.

After all, it includes three clans and solo players joining knowing they’re heading to the desert.

Hill increasingly understands why William would choose this future world as the player’s source.

They’ve developed highly well-rounded virtual rules... not just legal regulations, but so-called gaming ethics.

The Undead Tribe, even those from Eden, strive to exploit loopholes, without violating the originally set game rules.

Once such subconscious rules form, breaking them requires societal turmoil and major shifts.

And an ever-flourishing, although facing external enemies, an overwhelmingly strong world that doesn’t affect ordinary citizens will hardly experience such transformations out of the blue.

Especially since the God of Time and Space can foresee.

William chose the best from the start.

”Sir.” Purwell’s voice interrupted his thoughts.

”What is it?”

”Aesces seems to have loosened some restrictions.” Little Whale spoke in surprise, ”I noticed some higher-level Alchemy Golems are now available.”

Hill sat up, tilting his head in inquiry: ”Is it only here, or the whole world?”

”I’m just a Little Whale, sir, you want to know too much.”
