Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 1675: Chapter 252: Good People Shouldn’t Suffer

Ismael indeed made tremendous contributions to this world, but that doesn’t mean he won’t be tested by the world.

His life has received too much because of the love from the World Master, so even if Aesces himself doesn’t have that intention, the deepest laws of the world, the kind that even the World Master must follow, still balance the benefits he received in its own way.

Whether it’s the Fantasy World or the World Without Magic, no matter how powerful the deities, they cannot escape the kind of judgment and balance that the entire world imposes on their actions.

Including Toril’s AO... he can only control the general direction and those related to deities, while others... like Edna Mistrala brought out by the Undead Tribe, the world itself always gives him a little surprise.

Karma, the world has indeed fairly given it to him, but whether this karma can keep him strong and smooth sailing even after reaching the Heavenly Realm, it depends on Ismael’s performance.

And the various misfortunes he is encountering now, whether on the surface or covertly, may be somewhat related to Ismael’s protection of Gaia’s incarnation.

Even if he doesn’t know, but how can he not even know what the people around him are doing?

Especially, many things that lady might have borrowed his influence... like Lucy and her controlled subordinates, weren’t they taken away by that lady because of Ismael?

The Danboro Royal Family facing today’s outcome... could it also relate to Luciella and her mother, both sheltered by the former King?

Ismael didn’t make mistakes before, but the extraordinary fate he gained by pointing the way for the World Master was enough to suppress these errors.

But this time is different.

Although most marine creatures follow Triton, no one can deny this is Aesces’ sea, Aesces’ life.

The sins created by the Goddess of the Sea must inevitably implicate Gaia who controls her.

And the big commotion Gaia later caused is inseparable from Ismael’s protection.

Aesces... definitely must suffer some damage.

Even if he is the World Master, restarting the world once would cause severe harm, half of his demigod power must be spent to balance the resentment of those lost souls.

Although this time isn’t as severe, quite a lot of resentment is bound to appear.

The mistakes committed by this man and god during this period are probably related to the backlash caused by these resentments.

Even William, who just gathered his divinity and hasn’t completely ignited the divine fire, almost went astray due to human faith and resentment; Aesces, can he truly avoid it?

Powerful and mature deities may be proficient at handling these poisons of faith, but Hill thinks Aesces isn’t like that... that guy always thinks the path he found for the world is the best, and he doesn’t accept the faith and calls from any life, how could he be affected?

But, Hill shook his head; if it were as easy as Aesces thinks, there wouldn’t be so many divine corpses floating in the grave of deities at the bottom of the Stellar Realm.

Faith is never just positive prayers and praises; curses and fears are also faith.

The existence of so many Evil Gods in Toril has long proven this point?

Becoming a deity isn’t only about not accepting any faith... one must always be careful not to be entangled by those resentments.

You must try to avoid causing various disasters due to yourself.

The poison of faith is truly a terrifying thing.

Any deity, whether born or through their own efforts to walk the divine path, is affected more or less.

Including Lansendel, where most victims entered his own Divine Kingdom... the various peculiar behaviors he exhibited later, weren’t they affected at all?

Hill leaned against the white railing, his golden long hair gently flying in the breeze, a gentle smile on his face, gazing at the distant sea.

Yet his heart is not as calm as it appears.

If before departing from Teraxil, Hill still had some reluctance to let go of the divine path... that is way too easy for him.

Once the mage path is blocked, as long as he turns his hand to push, the door that has always been beside him would open for him anytime.

Now, he has started to slowly sever the thought of always wanting to leave himself a way back.

Hill understands that he ultimately cannot forge ahead like Fran.

People with a backup plan, although they act more composed, actually, compared to those who achieve the greatest success, they always fall short.

Because they cannot achieve death without regret.

They know there is always that glimmer of hope at the ghost gate.

So people like them wouldn’t charge with all their might, even if there are swords and fires ahead they wouldn’t retreat.

But Hill must suppress this thought to the lowest... at least, allowing himself not to recall his backup in any situation or any circumstances.

He must become more determined, even when facing a life and death crisis, he can’t easily retreat.

Hill doesn’t fear death, but... who can resolutely persist in walking the path of death when they could avoid it?

His willpower is still a bit weak.

Hill gently brushed the end of his hair, silently turning back to glance at his Magic Tower.

It’s okay, his time is still long, long enough that even he can’t see the end right now.

So, as long as he observes every flower and tree, even every drop of water, every grain of dust in the universe, he will surely find a path belonging to his own as a Mage.

After all, right now, both his soul and spirit are resisting that divine path.

Hill raised his hand slightly, a gust of wind swept through, and gentle raindrops floated in the sky, invisible life force slid down with the rain, the mountain where the Magic Tower stood quickly turned green.

Trees stretched their branches and leaves, wildflowers and tender grass danced in the wind, a herd of horses neighed and rolled forward.

Hill relaxed his brow and smiled lightly under the wind and clouds... Indeed, he will always find his way.

Although he is quite sickened by the various stories of this world, he has gained more life beliefs than he had in Toril, making Hill rather calm.

At least when he saw Ismael on TV, regretfully saying he just misspoke, there was no feeling of nausea at all.

But the meaning in Ismael’s words was still very clear and obvious... He had already drunk the potion to cut off progeny after giving birth to his youngest son, Lucimar.

Because his beloved Mrs. Demit didn’t want to give birth to another child who would be cursed by so many people at birth.

And although he regained that lady’s body and soul, he couldn’t promise her not to associate with other lovers again... After all, those were also people he truly loved!

Not to mention these adorable girls who bore him children, expanding the family, he couldn’t possibly abandon them.

So he made the biggest concession, making Lucimar his last child.

Ismael was very confident in his potion.

This also resulted in him, upon hearing that earth-shattering statement from the Princess, only feeling that the other party was fooling him... ah, and it seemed a bit glowing green as well.

Although Ismael doesn’t care who the other party used to be with, he can’t have other people’s seed thrown onto his head, right?

Who would have thought such a big misunderstanding could happen... the Sea King’s blessing given by Triton unexpectedly suppressed the effects of his potion, something he hadn’t expected, right?

Of course, all his explanations only led to more frenzied pounding from the Great Sages of the Scaret Royal Family.

Even though they are all mages, these three came wearing silver armor... The Scaret Royal Family’s Mithril Armor definitely doesn’t exceed five pieces, showing just how angry the Royal Family was... Not to mention, the power added was definitely enough.

A punch for each bump, a palm for each blue patch, still no problem.

Hill felt the expressions of the people on the Danborona side were bitter and difficult to the point where even their opponents couldn’t bear to watch... They hoped Ismael could clear up this misunderstanding, avoiding making everyone suffer, yet found the explanation even more disgustingly outrageous.

At least the little Princess on the opposite side seemed sincere, while on this side, they were truly worse than pigs and dogs.

Hill leaned against the railing and adjusted his viewing posture, he could still bear to watch.

After all, though Ismael was quite scummy, how to say... hadn’t that little Princess already known what kind of person he was before rolling with him?

Hill never sympathizes with things people willingly do.

He just wants to see the attitude from the Scaret Royal Family side, to gauge whether the child can be born normally.

Although this unexpected story is melodramatic and boring.

But one person has completely gotten relieved... Mr. Lucimar.

As long as that child is born, he will be completely useless to Gaia... When Gaia chooses to give birth to another child, Lucimar loses half of his value as a pawn, though he’s her son, he’s no longer her youngest.

And now, Lucimar isn’t even Ismael’s youngest son either.

This is indeed one of the few comfortable things in all these inexplicable broken affairs recently.

Hill can actually tell that Lucimar is a man of conscience.

So, facing the woman who gave birth to him, he simply chooses to keep avoiding.

However, for an existence like Gaia, the more one avoids and retreats, the more she will inch forward.

Once the Undead Tribe does sever the ill-fated relationship between Luciella and that child, Gaia will inevitably turn back to find Lucimar.

Rose also figured this point out, and thus placed visible eyes around Lucimar.

Hill doesn’t believe she won’t have her strongest operatives by Mrs. Demit’s side.

Her blatant control over Lucy should just be provoking Gaia.

He suddenly laughed, this result isn’t so bad either, why should good people always suffer?
