Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Capítulo 1664: Chapter 242: Where Are the God of Time and Space’s Soul Fragments?

So, after finding those two people, what should be done?

Hill was somewhat unsure of what the Undead Tribe would do.

Can’t just kill them directly, right?

Especially the boy treated as a stud.

He’s not even an adult yet!

Logically, the simplest way would be to directly expel Gaia, then scatter these poor souls she manipulates to the ends of the earth, completely cutting off the possibility of this child being born.

But… such an outcome seems a bit too lenient for that Earth Mother Goddess.

In Aesces, what’s present is just an incarnation of Gaia, failing only sacrifices a portion of her Divine Power.

Even if she’s swallowed by Rose, it doesn’t matter; Rose, not possessing immense Divine Power, doesn’t have the ability to grab Gaia’s true form hidden in an unknown corner beyond the endless cosmos.

This Spider Queen often ends up getting whatever she can catch.

For the Undead Tribe, if they only want to help Aesces, it’s enough to drive Gaia away—no need to fight to the death with her.

However, Hill always sensed that the Undead Tribe’s reaction was not simple.

Especially many arrangements at ‘Snow Cloud Peak’ seemed aimed at truly preparing for Cronos’s resurrection.

Hill slowly recalled the words Aesces spoke to him, and the tasks ‘Snow Cloud Peak’ required of him for analysis.

The most obvious was the behavior of the God of Portals, Eosca.

He did indeed engage in many sly maneuvers, and there was also a scorpion appearing in the desert, possibly related to Set… Aesces merely said the Lord of Insects was definitely involved, because the Earth Elemental from the desert would naturally form larvae, while other concerns like scorpions and beetles were trivial and not worth handling.

They messed around in the desert, yet the true consumption was merely the portal to Cain Valley that sent the Moon Clan there to die; energy might have even been provided by the family swayed by Luciella in the desert oasis.

As for the desert Moon Clan, even if it’s necessary, dying ten, eight times isn’t a big deal!

But Gaia, and her close family ties in the desert, including Luciella, have been completely wiped out… now those harboring the infamous exiled princess aren’t even considered nobles.

More like outlaws occupying a tiny oasis.

Just because their location is between the Desert Kingdom and Danboro, they barely survive.

Aesces indeed didn’t hold Eosca in high regard, subsequently handing them to the Undead Tribe without further concern.

However, to him as the God of the Earth, enemies in the desert are the easiest to contend with, unlike Triton’s forces over the ocean.

Regarding the Undead Tribe, they are backed by Coron. As long as Eosca concedes and clearly promises not to act against Aesces, who would support the Lady of Pain against him?

Coron is still diligently wielding his sword toward Mark City!

The Father of Elves, actually, is rather protective.

Hill suddenly had some doubts; when Triton and Eosca broke up easily, was that portal god just playing along?

Otherwise, how could a strong deity raising a Wind Elemental Goddess with so much cunning be easily dismissed?

He immediately turned to collaborate with Coron.

Aesces probably didn’t know what was happening, but he recognized the opponent wasn’t a formal enemy, or rather, an alliance occurred between Eosca and Set, forming some contact, confirming Eosca posed no threat.

Although Aesces wanted secrecy, someone like Hill who frequently interacted with him could guess a bit by thinking things through.

Hill gently sighed.

These days, not many fools left.

Yet his mind was close to overdrive… indeed the strategic alliances among deities are far beyond human comprehension.

Was there something Triton wanted to accomplish, hence such tolerance for Ambori’s presence?

Hill crouched on the Cloud Platform, slowly tracing lines, sorting out his thoughts slightly.

Sadly, some aspects remain unclear; he can only wait and observe the movements of people and gods to further speculate later.

Asking Aesces… let it go!

If Hill can’t comprehend these matters, that guy, even directly involved, likely won’t know who stands ahead after each step.

How to put it… at least from the Undead Tribe’s perspective, no big benefit lies for Aesces. Of course, if he just wants to vent, it’s quite apt.

But Hill was still somewhat confused.

Actually, for the Undead Tribe, killing Gaia and Kloster isn’t of great necessity.

Unless the God of Time and Space intends to deal with her.

Although the God of Time and Space already shredded the soul belonging to Uranus, would he want to eliminate this Greek Earth Mother Goddess who might threaten him?

Hey?

Hill suddenly sat up.

Right, the portion of the soul cut by the God of Time and Space?

Has it truly transformed into nourishment within The River of Time and Space?

No, Hill remembers the contents in that image; he first cut off that part of the soul… countless tiny slices… then it drifted into The River of Time and Space.

Could that piece of soul, during the God of Time and Space’s ten thousand years of recuperation, have fused again with some shattered soul?

Just like him.

Hill still remembers how he became his current self.

Though he and the remnant soul complemented each other, inseparable for a seamless union, but… the part sliced by the God of Time and Space isn’t impossible either!

Previously Hill didn’t care about this because at that time the God of Time and Space was still human… even a legendary soul fragment scattered in the Void couldn’t exist for long.

But a deity’s remnant soul is different.

What he cut definitely contains part belonging to Uranus!

Which couldn’t dissipate so easily.

Hill looked up towards the sky: So, what was the God of Time and Space thinking?

Would he forget the past where Uranus brought him a second life and each goes their own way, ignoring the past… or, intensely desire to extract and shred that soul threatening to drag him into Hell?

Hill’s special attention towards the God of Time and Space lately hasn’t just been due to nostalgia… but due to his own fortunate soul fusion.

If, back then, the soul part he fused with didn’t originate from the Goddess of the Earth but was akin to Uranus’s existence?

Just thinking about it sends chills down his spine.

Hill knew himself well; he might be unable to tolerate his soul being tainted, but he couldn’t endure severing his soul in countless slices… his likely course would be perishing together with those dark fragments, burning his soul completely.

The God of Time and Space’s method is challenging even for true deities. Otherwise, so many benevolent deities wouldn’t be manipulated, utterly unable to escape struggle; ultimately, either falling, or destroying themselves entirely.

Hill suddenly realized that his greatest fortune in this new lifetime might lie within that unknown soul fusion event.

Compared to the charismatic William, the God of Time and Space’s existence wasn’t prominent; Hill would only think of him amidst cursing William.

Never mind the Undead Tribe, aside from a few clever ones, most would direct dissatisfaction towards William.

Thus, for the first time since leaving Teraxil, Hill’s concern over the God of Time and Space exceeded his attention on William.

Now, Hill can at least determine that the Undead Tribe indeed intends to bring Cronos into this world.

Once this Second Generation God-King of the Greek Gods truly appears, Gaia, hidden well, will inevitably transfer much of her power to the World of Aesces.

As long as she wishes to safeguard her arduously resurrected son, she’d have to do it, despite knowing others lie in wait.

During the conflict between Mulholland and Anmur, deities fell in Toril due to their intense combat, ignoring Toril and channeling most of their power into Toril’s incarnations.

Deities can have countless incarnations with freely convertible main and secondary bodies, but Divine Power is finite; exceeding the threshold can lead them to endless slumber even if they’re not killed.

Rose would certainly relish capturing this main body; although she likely won’t seize the Earth attribute, the divinities concerning motherhood and childbirth would immensely serve her ambition of enveloping all Zholar within her embrace.

As for Gaia’s other attributes… Earth and Life, largely lost once she leaves her own world.

The only remaining possession is Creation, and her essence of Chaos and Darkness.

With Shaer around, Rose wouldn’t dare covet these Divine natures.

Hill felt his assumptions were mostly accurate, but there’s still something unclear.

How could the plotting people and deities be sure Luciella would birth a boy?

Even Gaia couldn’t confirm it, eh~

The Undead Tribe was unaware of Hill’s confusion atop the Cloud Platform; they just methodically continued their tasks: assaulting the Moon Clan, assisting Ambori in fighting the Sea Monster while also combating the Moon Clan.

Then, Black and White Path and two other PvE families started assembling, preparing to head to the Desert after this regional conflict resolution.
